I mainly remember that the news about Russia blocking some bitcoin related websites to be completely FUD, they banned some scam sites as far as I can remember a long time ago. and since the source of this news is cointelegraph which is a known shitposter I wouldn't be surprised to learn this is another news exaggeration that they posted because price is rising now and they were desperate for some sort of "positive news"!

That's also true. But think of them as the "tabloid" in Bitcoin land. Read their stories if you want, but do not take most of them seriously.

Their drawings and illustrations are nice though. Hahaha.

sadly this has become a widespread thing among all the bitcoin related news sites. they mainly publish click baits to increase their visits/traffic and with it their revenues. and the damage they have done is sometimes big too. for example the FUD they keep on spreading or ever at times when they hype up bitcoin too much the opposite way.

and yeah all they lack in journalism they make up for it in artistry Cheesy

Court in St, Peters burg uplifted a ban on 40 BTC related websites. the ban had been earlier made based on claims that they spread information on digital currency  which want backed by real assets and doesn't provide information about its real owners. i think this is a win for BTC. For those who still panicking, indicators of price hike are all over.

Nah. I wouldn't consider this a major impact to the price increase that we are currently seeing. And Russia, LOL, how many times I said that they are against crypto and uplifting a ban doesn't mean a thing. And I'm sure that those 40 related websites will be heavily on the governments radar. And just remember that they have CryptoRubble, government back coins that will surely be more of a burden to their citizens, imposing high tax. LOL. It could be a win for crypto in general, but I don't see it has having a major impact.

We are starting to see the green shoots of acceptance for Cryptocurrency spreading through more and more nations. It seems to have gone through typical stages before being accepted. Ignore it - Make it look bad - Get worried about it - Try to Outlaw it - Realise you can create revenue from it - Acceptance

Ah again great news from the Russia. They are making it very easy for their country people when it comes to the bitcoin or crypto currency. If they keep uplifting such bans or make it legal everything then off course it will help our bitcoin community grow directly or indirectly in perfect sense.

And obviously bitcoin was made anonymous so there is no need for such websites to provide any private info. I think are making it perfect now. Keep it up Russia.

Good news. But there is no need to use all caps in the title. Hehehe. I know you are excited, but please change it if you can.

Plus this was an insightful comment from Putin.

We need to take the maximum advantage of these factors to guarantee this progress into the future.

He knows that it's time to adopt cryptocurrencies if he wants to move his country forward. Prohibiting it will only hurt them eventually.
