is it safe to buy new secondhand miners cause i have serious health issues touching packages from dirty warehouses ?

You’ll be fine, there most likely won’t be any live traces of the virus on the product or packaging. Even if there is, providing you’re not really old with a pre existing health condition you will be fine.

I guess you are safe. Before you unpack the miner in the box, you can spray disinfectant and dry it in the sun before using the miner. Do not feel too paranoid about the covid because you should not worry about it as long as you can be careful.
just alcohol are enough mate , spray them thoroughly or consecutively . i have health issue also so all my online deliveries make sure being alcohol sprayed .
Ah, thanks for reminding me about that. Yes, alcohol will be enough to clean the box and the miner. But using disinfectant can really help him to make sure that the box and the miner are safe.

Why make it so much effort ? the virus will Die after 14 days maximum so he only needs to let the items stays the garage and then bring inside the house after that day.

^currency notes are one of the primary reason for the spread of this virus.

If you are going to buy an used miner then don't open the package for atleast two weeks that is the most lifetime of the virus on any surface so after that you will be safe to open and operate as regular miner.
If you are afraid of spreading the virus you need to disinfect them before using the mine then there is no possibility of any fear if you touch them. Many people can easily use mining packages if they can't wait two weeks to use the disinfectant method htere will be no fear of virus infection.

i moonshine my dirty boards after vacumn dust have bought 2 miners with fistfuls of dustballs on intake side of heatsinks. ages ago didn't have balls to open one until after few vids feel like a antminer repair centre here in my mining rig   BONEYARD

I have more dead machines than TONY BEETS

Where I live, my electricity is paid by the apartment complex. If I got a few mining rigs, I wonder how long it would take the manager to figure out why the complex electric bill is rocketing skyward.

Cool

Here's an interesting read:

https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2004973?query=featured_home

Like I said before, 72 hours should be sufficient. It's true that if loads of viable virus particles are placed on the most habitable surfaces and they are stored in the "best" way, virus particles can be found much longer than 72 hours... But those are lab conditions: an abundance of "fresh" viable particles, selected surfaces, ideal conditions. And even then, only a very small amount of virus particles are still more or less viable.

There is something else coming into play: the viral load... I've seen studies that HIV infected woman can have up to 900 hiv virus particles per ml of breast milk, but still allmost no babies get infected and become HIV positive after drinking the milk... Because the load is low. Your immune system comes into contact with potentially deadly viruses and bacteria on a daily basis. But as long as the load isn't to high, it'll deal with those pathogens.

Same here... If you wait 72 hours, the viral load on your package should be so low that you're basically in the clear. Especially because corona viruses die faster on cardboard (the box should be cardboard) and hopefully the goods inside of the box (plastic, stainless steel) were not touched for a longer time (how big are the odds somebody infected inserted the ASIC in the box and sent it out the same day).

Now, once again, i'm not a doctor, I haven't touched this stuff since college 20 years ago... Not that much studies have been carried out, and the ones that did weren't always conclusive. Even the ones that were conclusive sometimes came to different recommandations. But I wouldn't worry about it. Sure, if you want to be 100% sure you can always wait 2 weeks, but after reading up, i do think 72 hours should be more than sufficient to decrease the viable virus load to a level where any normal immune system should be able to kill the remaining virus particles.

This is not a promise tough... If it were me, i'd just wait 24-48 hours, but if you want to be sure, you should wait 72 hours, wair a tivec suit, gloves, mask,..., desinfect with chlorine,...

I would never buy a second-handed miner.
The reasons are obvious. You don't really know what the first person has done to the miner and what settings are there. Maybe the mined coins are going to a specific wallet no matter what you set it up to do...

72 hours work for most surfaces, but not for all. On different surfaces the virus lives at different times. For example, on stainless steel and plastic, it can live up to seven days. This is the latest information I read.

Same for plastic. Guess what those miners bodies and fans are made off...

If paranoid, do quarantine those boxes a couple of weeks.

make sure that you will not touch the items right after the delivery,at least use Gloves to open the wrap or disinfect it first before opening to make sure the virus will die before touching.

and also just let the Miner stays away from you for at least 1 week or 2 to make sure that the virus already Gone and wont survive in that long time.

You should be OK... I've seen studies and they all come to the conclusion that after 72 hours out of the body, the virus particles break down and are no longer infectious (even in "normal" ideal conditions and on "normal" ideal materials...).

If you buy a miner, i'd just accept the package from the carrier, place it in an unused room for 72 hours (wash your hands after accepting the package, make sure you don't touch any doorknobs with "potentially dirty" hands) and only open it once those 72 hours are over. Do NOT place the package in the freezer, as this will protect the virus.

Placing the box into direct sunlight for a couple of hours is also a good idear, as most coronaviruses don't survive uv ratiation.

The only downside is that you cannot check the package for damage as soon as you accept it, this might be a liability problem. Maybe talk to the seller/shipment company first and make sure they understand you won't check the package for damage the first 72 hours after receiving it.

PS: i'm not a doctor. I have a master in sciences so i do think i can understand how to read standard studies, but i'm not specialised in this stuff (anymore). I'm just telling you what i would do if i was faced with this issue. If you want to be 100% certain, you should contact your governement.
