For me, loading the second half of the list of 100 coins does take some time. But that's to be expected and I don't think that it warrants a complaint - so you are likely suffering from something else.

Try clear your cache and/or switch to a new browser. Does it help at all?

If not, then honestly CoinGecko is fine. They offer virtually identical functionalities.

It's your internet connection, some people are still using IP and Ports on their smartphones to connect online this days, they don't know that there are some restrictions on some IP numbers when visiting a website, remove the IP and Port number, leave them blank and you will see the difference instantly

It seems to me personally that something has changed in technical terms since CMC changed owner, because I too can confirm that some kind of glitch often happens like the recent one when one coin took first place in the rankings ahead of BTC - or that lately I see that the price of BTC is 0 if I click on BTC to look at the details.

I also have a problem that when I try to open CMC through Firefox (desktop), the page does not load (just stay blank). Sometimes I have to try to load a page several times to succeed - but that's probably something to the browser, because it happens to me with some other sites.

I can easily browse on my pc coinmarketcap and coingecko.i think your internet speed is slow that's why it's take much time to load.If coinmarketcap seen all time slow then you should use coingecko.because, both are given same result of cryptocurrency market price.

Same, I can visit both sites on my phone and on my computer it has something to do with your connection and not on the sites, and besides they will get a dedicated plan and will never opt for shared hosting because they will be accessed by millions of users worldwide, so peopel should expect them to load fast.
On the contrary, coingecko was ok from my end but coinmarketcap was slow just like other people have said and I don't think it has to do with the connection difficulties cause their charts were indeed slow and annoying particularly when I when I need the chart for an urgent confirmation but I guess the problem happen ever since their team integrated auto-reload of the market price and chart.

I do not think that a page like this has problems with user traffic, but it happens, I just did a search of one alts and  "No results for..." twice, concern if, in the third attempt it appeared, that is what I have noticed.

Anyone facing as the same problem I'm facing too? I can't browse coinmarketcap, it takes a lot of time to load. On the other hand, I can browse coin gecko easily. There’s no problem with that.
I'm also noticing it and it happens to me sometimes these past few days. Yes, it's no problem if we can use the alternative one which is coingecko. Their website is slow loading and the cause might be the overload and too many visitors, they can't take the traffic that it gets due to everyone checking the price.

And if I only want to check the price of bitcoin, I usually use preev.com. In comparison, coingecko is faster as I use it.

I haven't faced any problems, website for me loaded fast as it should be. But it's nothing surprising that some websites can have such problems, considering what's going with Bitcoin price in recent weeks. Interest in crypto increased a lot now and maybe not all websites had prepared for such increased traffic.
But it's good point by @Bitcoin_Arena, Coinmarketcap isn't same as they were few years ago. Now it's heavy website which sometimes use too much RAM. It's not big problem when we have so many alternatives.

I do a quick check and currently browsing the CoinmarketCap page and all was smooth.

I'm not just sure what standards do others have regarding "smooth".

But anyway, it's been a while since I don't visit that website. I'm more of using Coingekco right now as I noticed the great development they did on their website since then. They are just popular before as an alternative to CMC.

Dont have any problems on accessing both coinmarketcap and coingecko even if they have added lots of stuffs into their site comparing into those old days.It doesnt really affect my loading times.

As mentioned this might really be pertaining about site traffic which do might cause some load and does affect browsing experience.

Nope, no problems for me on my end right now--I just tried it, and it's working as fast as I'm used to.  It could be that it got temporarily bogged down with traffic because of bitcoin's price rise.  I'm sure there are a lot of folks who are doing a lot of searching for bitcoin and/or other cryptos, and CMC is usually one of the first search results for most of them.

I don't have issue on Coinmarketcap, but I prefer using Coingecko because some of the coins that I am holding are tracked on Coingecko and not on Coinmarketcap
I don't use either one all that often, but I agree with you.  Coingecko does have seemingly more coins/tokens listed than does CMC, though each one has all the major players in the crypto space listed.  Comes down to a matter of taste, I suppose.

Their charts do annoyingly take a while to load sometimes recently; along with me needing to do a few page refreshes here and there. It's pretty safe to assume that it's due to the recent bull run, hence a huge spike in website visits come with it.

You are so right about coinmarketcap. It's pretty slow and "RAM consuming" these days as compared to the old days of 2017. Those who used it back then can tell the difference. One thing I noticed is that they now have loads of ads everywhere unlike back in the day when ads were displayed at the top area. All that ad nonsense worsened once they got acquired by Binance who are very money hungry.

All together, I stopped using them sometime back.
