Most CPM networks work with banners. The reason is simple: they get more clicks, so the advertisers get more traffic for the same price.

However I think you can also disable image ads on Mellowads? Don't quote me here but I remember seeing text ads from them. Not sure if it was an error or the website has the ability to choose this. Also, they do have network campaigns - not just site-specific.

You're wrong on the reason. Text gets more clicks when used properly (contextual). Banners are used because they do branding. CPM advertisers don't care if you get 1 click or 50 million clicks, as they are paying because they get that branding in front of you. The whole point behind it is that when you think about something you need/want, you will remember an earlier ad and choose their brand.

I really wish some of you knew what you were talking about. There's so much misinformation spread here, it's painful.
I work in that industry and as such I know what I'm talking about. Right now I have 15 media buy campaigns running at 2 different traffic sources, all of them yielding positive ROI.

Banner CPM campaigns can be made for branding purposes, but 95% of them are just there to get clicks. Branding is just a nice extra - they are there to get results.

I think you are confusing "contextual" with text ad CPM ads, which is what the OP wants. Those aren't nearly as contextual and, while the quality of the traffic will be higher, the advertiser will receive way less traffic with the same amount of impressions, given they use a banner with a decent CTR.

Next time you try to be a smartass, choose wisely.

I agree.

I agree that banners generally get more clicks than pure text ads when both are unrelated to anything.

Also just realized it looks like you're an advertiser, rather than publisher. I was on the other team, :p.

I'm actually looking for text-based CPM networks instead of banners as a publisher and advertiser as well. It is like CPC model of Adsense, but in CPM model.

Adsterra pays via Bitcoin. Though you need to apply (not instant signup like the average Bitcoin advertising network you might be used to, AFAIK) but you will have access to more ads than with the normal networks used by Bitcoiners.

Yes. there are dozens of CPM based bitcoin adverstiment networks available over there.

CPM(Cost Per Impression) is a type of ad network which pays users just for viewing their ads on the site. mean clicking on the ad is not important..
here is some bitcoin CPM sites:

1: A-ads.com
2: http://coinad.com/
3: http://blockadz.com/
4: https://mellowads.com

there is a lot more. but above are some most famous and highest paying CPM sites,

(Note: CPM pays very less than PPC(Pay per Click) sites, for the reason of PPC need clicks on ads for payment but CPM pays only for impressions on ads)

1) a-ads is not CPM due to how it calculates views. It's eCPM
2) I can't believe you even listed this one
3) Wasn't aware of this one...
4) This one used to only pay if a campaign was bought on your site. Not sure if it's straight CPM now

Are there any CPM based networks for publishers pays via BTC?

I'm not aware of any true CPM networks at the moment. There are a few that claim to be, but they're actually eCPM and are based on many other metrics.
