the best cpu coin for profit you will find right now (and has been minable for months) imo is zcoin. The cpu:gpu ratio is SO close, closer than XMR, so its quite fair to mine on CPU
they wanted to try keep cost of hardwear similar, so a 1000$ cpu mines almost as good as a 1000$ GPU
Tbh tho, there's like 5 threads on this, read the board! haha
