Topic: CPU mining LAX (lapo) already impossible? (Read 217 times)
I hoped to hop on the lapo and mine a few coins.
Since only solo mining with CPU is possible I thought it could be done very easy.
Just install and set the CPU slider and mine., they say.
Unfortunately after few days still no coins mined, although I have a 12core Xeon do the work for me.
Is the difficulty already that high that it is already impossible to mine with CPU?
Or am I missing a setting in the lapo software ?

You can put that beast of a processor with 12 cores if it is a one of the newer series to work better for you by mining Bytecoin. It is still one of the most mined coins with performing CPU-s like the one you have and if you have mined with it a few days, you would have quite a good amount of Bytecoins now.
Beside Bytecoin there are a lot of other good and profitable coins that can be mined with a performing CPU like the one you have.
yeap diff really high now. before i get everyday on my i7 now its been a week there so no block found. i will stop mining
