The addres belongs to @OP. I was talking with him on skype.

Also the passphrase to decode the BIP38 private key is: MiKe
@OP said: "4 letter NAME"
Also he said it cointained both uppercase and lowercase.

@OP nickname cointains a name (Michael). Mike = abreviation of Michael.

Then it was just trying all combinations (uppercase & lowercase).

And i was too late when i figured this out. Somebody else got the 0.1BTC.

GG.
When you put it this it seems totally easy and logical. I guess that hint about password being a name was a bit too good.
So after all it was more about having a keen eye & detective skills than bruteforcing password.

Will it be round 2 of this riddle?

Well i don't know. @OP is offline for a few hours.
Maybe he will tell us when he is back! Smiley

Well that was fast. But I am just curious to know if that 'task' was for educational purposes only or you happened to get into your possession a Bitcoin wallet passworded with the said parameters and you were looking to get into it?
Not that I like to get my nose into other people's business but it seems so from a stranger's perspective.

BTC to the moon is inevitable...

if you have signed this with OP address 16GtL... then it is a wrong signature.
(Checked with Electrum) and yes i removed the newline in the signature.

and as a friendly advice, nobody is going to tell you anything if they crack what i am assuming to be your private key. the funds will be gone and you will learn nothing.

Is the correct to crack something? why you want to crack this? I don't think you are doing a correct thing by paying people to cracking.. it is not legal unless you proof this is your own property.

Its my wallet.

I will reveal the pw here when it gets cracked:

After you crack the 0.1BTC. Send me a PM and show me step by step on how I can replicate the wordlist crack on linux. After of which I will give you an additional 0.2BTC.

4 letter?

Is it uppercase or lower case? or both?
any hint of any letter or something?
