I should have made this post self moderated.  I was specific about how I wanted to approach this topic, as I wanted to make it a new/different type of Craig Wright post.  We all know he's full of shit and hasn't proved anything, but the point here was to break down the video and discuss specifics, so we could expose specific examples.  No one did that, mostly just all about bump your post count.  Locking thread. When will Craig Wright stop humiliating himself? Guy got sort of obsessed with being Satoshi. He should be kept in a ward for lunatics, next to Napoleons ward.
Wright was a good business once, until he decided to turn into clown. Is he even get paid for being such a comedian?

I really don't want to get into conspiracy-ish theories, but why does this news channel like interviewing BSV-ers so much? I'm really not sure but as far as I remember this isn't the first time CSW showed up in their show. When people have finally forgotten about this guy, suddenly he shows up on their show lmao.
Wade Prescott is the owner of Kitco news and I am not sure there are big relationships between him and CSW but one thing I noticed is that CSW is using the influence of Kitco news as one of the trusted sources in terms of precious and metal base market news. Apart from that, I have seen Kitco news advertising numerous crypto-related projects and most of these people only care about money, once the client can afford their service they are good to go.

It is good that CSW came out to speak the truth but there must be a reason why he's saying this now and it will be nice if we could know the reason.

Here’s a recent video where Kitco (a highly respected precious metals dealer) interviews the infamous Dr Craig Wright. I am still absolutely and utterly amazed at how many people legitimately think he’s Satoshi. I’ve watched a lot of videos of Craig, but this is maybe the most lying I’ve ever seen him do, one thing after another.

Let’s see how many lies we can point out and discuss..

https://youtu.be/BnPiH6OLLa0

(Sorry Craig, sue me)
I will not click that video. It will make the video more popular Cheesy.

Kidding aside, its simple to prove that he is Satoshi. Just move the 1 million that he have (if he really is Satoshi) into another wallet or just sell it if he wants to if he really is Satoshi. Why making things complicated if you can prove it in just one simple transaction? Ohh wait because the reality is he really isn't Satoshi but Faketoshit. Its quite unfortunate to see though that despite of many people saying that he isn't the real Satoshi, there are still investors who believes in him. He can do this all the time as long as he is alive and in the end, not all will believe in him.

There's no way to prove him that he's the real satoshi, we all knew it and that will remain a claim forever without any proof. The funny thing about the title of the video "self proclaim".
Well, that's right and people should see that important word on that video for them to realize that CSW isn't really satoshi and any words he says about him is just for his own praise.
Not only CSW we are all been talking yet considering there are several who are trying to claim out to be Satoshi. The only thing we do need is a solid proof and we do only need to prove is to move funds

into those satoshi-owned wallets which would really be make things to be cleared. Its been long years that these trolls are trying to convince out that they are Satoshi.
Seems like they never get tired and still trying to convince out the community that they are the creator of Bitcoin which is totally laughable.
Just don't mind them, they're all nuisance but all the lens are going with CSW. That's why just ignore those people that are claiming to be satoshi.
They don't have hard evidence or just sign a message to prove the ownership of those bitcoins that have been kept by the real satoshi.

Thanks for making an Anti-CraigWright post. I don't think we even need to look at the video. Craig Wright, who, seems like to me, is nothing but a scam artist with a egomania bigger than that of Elon Musk, is trying his hardest to stay relevant, at least in the world of crypto. Although the ego of Musk and him may be around the same.

Men with giant egos like that sometimes start lying to themselves and they start believing their own lies. But we have had enough evidence in the past about Craig Wright being an absolute knob and he has been caught red handed time and time again.

Its all self-PR.

I have contributed 1 view for that video interview and I didn't pursue watching it and instead have read the comments. It's good to see that there are people who are aware that he's faketoshi. While the opposite of it, there really are people that feels amazed about the interview. Probably it's just the interview alone and not his claims about being the developer/owner of bitcoin.

Exactly, I do not see any information that I would be able to know from the video which I already didn't. He is just embarrassing himself now and he must at least admit to the public and come clean.

If he was Satoshi he would have sold those coins so fast and put them in some Altcoin making a whole hype. The reason people use  Bitcoins is because there is a level of trust, we might not know the inventor but at the end of the day he cannot have characteristics like Wright.

they won't stop self-proclaiming as long as some people believe them. but for most of us here, he can't make us believe because we know that the very thing to prove that he is indeed Satoshi is just to make one tx using those satoshi-known btc addresses. if he is indeed the owner, why is it taking so long to make one? he's finding so many reasons not to. so yeah, other than CSW, other individuals trying to claim to be satoshi are just ruining their public image as they couldn't prove them their real connection to satoshi.

I am still absolutely and utterly amazed at how many people legitimately think he’s Satoshi.
The name Satoshi has now become a household name that everyone will love to claim but as in the case of Craig Wright I think he's just trying to stir the media by creating much awareness of himself, because i see no reason why he should make the claim at first place and later come again to utterly refuted that, that's why i want to believe maybe he's trying to get public attraction unto himself in playing such. have it ever come to their mind that the real Satoshi woud have been so diplomatic so as not to come to the media making claim of himself in such manners.
I am afraid, it also allows him to make a lot of money as well. Between fame, attention and money the situation is on his benefit even if he doesn't turn out to be satoshi. If you could convince nobody but still get mics lined up or articles written about you, then it is a benefit for you in the long run. Dude probably made millions from the satoshi claim, and no lie he was one of the early investors so he might have a lot of bitcoins to begin with as well.

Combine these two things together and you have yourself a situation where everything seems a lot better for you. This doesn't mean that he should be doing it, it is a bad and horrible thing but if he is profiting from it, I can see his point.

I've seen a few of Craig's videos and read some articles. I must say I didn't feel like watching the full video war worth the effort. At the beginning of the video, he says is part-academic. I don't think that's true. Looking at his LinkedIn profile, he mentions being a student of tons of universities (just look at this thing), many concurrent right now, and still it's all about studying (although most is probably not true), not being an academic, unless he's talking about his PhD, which still counts as studying. He then says that he was outed by the media, even though he didn't want that. This is hilarious because he could easily just do what other potential Satoshis did: they said that they weren't Satoshi. And there you go, all this unwanted publicity gone. Sometimes I think he might just be an ill person, you know, the kind that firmly believes he's someone he's not because of a mental disorder.

The funny part is people are still hung up on this man. When he tried actually proving that he is Satoshi and going to the court I did think it was all over, is this even a matter of discussion now ?

The guy is not only weird but he is also delusional, he needs to understand that people are not going to call his Satoshi no matter what, not even after 10 years. I think he is seriously taking the advice 'Fake it till you make it'

I think that Kitco news guy David asked him some really good questions, but I don't know how he was able to keep serious face talking with this clown.

Yeah it's not an easy watch.  I've heard many of these lies over and over but some I feel like I haven't heard. The Kitco guy definitely does a fantastic job of pressing him on the important issues, without ticking him off and making him feel like he's calling him out.

My favorite video of CSW is from a couple years or so ago when he was giving some talk and he accidentally said "the first time I read the Bitcoin white paper..." then he paused for a second, realizing he accidentally told the truth without thinking about it, and then tried to cover that with his lie "...I mean when I wrote it."

It was too funny. That's the problem with lying all the time, occasionally you slip up and say something from memory by accident instead of remembering to stick to the story you've been making up.

Like when Nick Szabo said "when I created bitcoi...bitgold".  Smiley

No, I don't have enough time to watch the Faketoshi video and waste my time. Because I never believed him as a Bitcoin creator. And I know very well he is a liar. So I don't want to focus on him and help him to make more famous. Everything he did just to become famous, who knows him before he claimed Satoshi? At least no I am. So it's his policy to create a story after a few days and become more famous. Just leave him and focus on Bitcoin adaption.

Then don't post on my thread just to bump your post count.  I should have made this thread self moderated.  About impossible to get good replies anymore.

Frankly if Satoshi was an individual it is more than likely they have passed away by now, the alternative is they are some sort of government agency who let this software out into the public domain without realizing how popular it would prove to be. Ultimately the idea behind it is creating a global currency, so it's surprising that there are not more conspiracy theorists out there taking that view on it and calling it a bad thing. It seems to me that if Satoshi is alive, they are humble and possibly rich enough never to need the funds that would be available to them from owning the first Bitcoins ever created. Some people do not seek wealth and are content with unleashing a legacy the world without trying to attach their name to it.

his game is simple.
try to make himself famous so that he can then try selling his story.
Exactly and the funny truth is, we, the rest of the world are helping him to sell himself and his many assumptions/lies. You know what I think of him, I like to think of him as an opportunist. He has found a way to get the most attention out of the anonymous nature of the founder Satoshi Nakamoto. To be one with his claims, he has done researches to belnd his truths and lies to work as one and people actually take him for it.

I listen to this interview and hear things like,
Bitcoin was for solving the issues of monetizing social media at a time, it was for quick payments, wasn't meant to evolve and the most of it is, bitcoin is not crypto but clear cash, like digital currency... I mean the same bitcoin we have celebrate today to have been as the CBDC offers with local currencies today.
What the heck! Sure this guy isn't sick in the head or some place worst!!!

Guys my intent with this post was to expose his lies by itemizing them.  I get it, we all know he's a complete fraud, but I wanted to see specific quotes given, then break them down exposing how they're lies.  Kitco interviewer does a really good job on pressing him about the things that are highly contested.

Again my goal here was for people to actually watch this, and list out what he says that is incorrect.

Example that I've given already is him saying " Bitcoin had nothing to do with the cypher punks and the white paper was never sent on their mailing list".

This.   Many Youtubers closely monitor their views to see what works and what doesn't.  The fewer views this video gets, the better.  If people start thinking Faketoshi is old news and doesn't generate any interest, people will stop interviewing him.  We can be rid of him.

If he is trying to prove himself as Satoshi then why don’t just he show his rough works, some dairy where he was writing up his ideas. I mean being student and working in lab we are taught to maintain the lab notebook and in similar fashion whether it is mathematician or programmer everyone write up something. Considering all this happened before 2009, he should have been more prompt writing it down on notepad.

I’m not following his story because I know it’s crap but have court ever asked such proofs to this idiot ?

That’s a good question, and the shitty thing is I’ve always been a fan of Kitco. I’ve bough and sold precious metals and always found them to be quite legitimate. To be fair in this interview he pressed Craig on quite a few issues, not letting him just purely spew nonsense.

To everyone else ..it would be nice to see specifies, for instance “the Bitcoin white paper was not released on the cypherpunk mailing list”… there’s a lot of good ones like this.

This guy just won't go away. He's like a parasite that attached himself to Satoshi and isn't willing to seperate himself from him/her/them. He clearly craves attention like crazy and is willing to do anything to remain in the limelight.

Even though he is extremely rich, I still pity this guy for the reasons that I mentioned above. His greed for money and fame has led to his reputation getting screwed royally.

This guy is an excellent example to demonstrate why too much greed can lead to negative consequences in life. You need to be satisfied with what you have.

This scheme more than likely started out as a VERY small idea to claim Satoshi's coins
and its just mushroomed out of control and the only way to continue is lying, thats all
he has is lies.

What this YT channel often emphasizes is the topic of "who is Satoshi", and then how not to invite as a guest someone who claims that he is the person? If you want to increase viewership, then you need as many controversial guests as possible, regardless of the fact that they have been proven to lie and deceive the public. It is possible that Faketoshi paid for the interview, because that is the only way he can still keep the lie alive.

It doesn't matter if it's paid comments or real followers of Faketoshi, I noticed the same thing while watching a few minutes of this video. It's all because of the new trend about the new owner of Twitter where cryptocurrencies are always being mentioned nowadays and they find it as an opportunity to emerge again and talk about their personal claims to gain some momentum and confuse the masses with their nonsense topic. Most people know they are just trolling to the point that they were being pushed to promote their claims and to scam people about their fake stories. Well, when you have something so secretive attached to Satoshi's name, I am actually surprised that more people aren't trying to claim that they are him/or part of them. A big red flag is if anyone at this point came out as Satoshi. What would the point be? With all the back information on how Satoshi approached this when he conceptualized it, it seems like the spotlight was never the objective, and to be coming out at this point in that manner would be totally off what he/they perceived to be earlier on.

I do not know what I can call Craig Wright, maybe a fool that wants to fool the world, but he can not fool bitcoin community. A man full of lies and not able to prove if he is Satoshi. It is ridiculous indeed but on the other hand people are free to believe whatever they want. This is bcash/bitcoin all over again. Remember when bcash people claimed theirs is the real version of bitcoin? And even though bcash plummeted against btc over the years, they still believe that crap. Suddenly the price (or marketcap) isn't a deciding factor anymore...

his game is simple.
try to make himself famous so that he can then try selling his story.
he knows the story is not "i am satoshi" but instead some action packed "how i fooled and scammed and got away with it"

he already admitted he scammed people like calvin ayres and has promised calvin and all the rest huge returns from selling his story via book/movie deals (as well as patent trolling) in the future.
its why they are still trying to remain beside him and uphold his narrative, becasue its the only way they 'might' get something out of it

the only way to even get there where those he promised might get x% of any book/movie deal is to try remaining relevant or have enough drama to be story worthy.

in many cases he pay's certain people to get himself invited to shows. in others his scammed investors pay him to show up to stay relevant. yep they double down on investing in him for the hopes of the future promised huge returns

i dont think they actually believe he is who he says he is. they are just looking for returns on investment , and when money is involved literally anyone can get screentime on certain media outlets.

heck even the BBC news is a sell-out. you can spot this when they do weird 'news pieces' that are not relevant to current affairs.
EG how they subtly get paid to advertise new movies by doing stories about how movies use CGI.. yea CSW paid the BBC years ago to interview him,

I really don't want to get into conspiracy-ish theories, but why does this news channel like interviewing BSV-ers so much? I'm really not sure but as far as I remember this isn't the first time CSW showed up in their show. When people have finally forgotten about this guy, suddenly he shows up on their show lmao.

the media need something to post. that way the he will showed up. im if he is real satoshi he should active right now or maybe try to show move from satoshi old wallet to new one

I’ve watched a lot of videos of Craig, but this is maybe the most lying I’ve ever seen him do, one thing after another.

Let’s see how many lies we can point out and discuss..
