The transaction finally "error'd out" and the BTC was credited back to my account! For anyone who may run into this in the future, contact the sending company ASAP.

Interesting problem. Good to know that it won't be lost forever.

I can't believe I did it, but I did. Pasted my LTC wallet instead of BTC and now all that BTC is gone! Is there anything I can do?? I sent BTC from coin.me to my LTC wallet at btc-e. Can either help?

You cannot send BTC to an LTC address. Contact coin.me and they will fix it (if they haven't already).

Impossible to do. The protocols use different address identifiers. Most likely it will get rejected in the next block and bounce back to the exchange. you'll have to contact them to have it restored to your account.

BTC and LTC have different starting address for a reason, so the the block will reject it as being invalid and not accept it. You will have to contact whoever directly as most of the time they will have to manually process it but it is not lost.
So strange .... I always thought it was simply impossible to send BTC to a wrong address ...  Huh

Just contact customer support. How long has it been? Maybe the money will get returned.

Kind of an interesting question though and I'm not finding many answers. I understand if I send BTC to the wrong wallet, it's gone forever. But what if I send BTC to an LTC wallet, or some other totally non compatible address like an email address? What happens then? Thanks guys.

It shows as "Pending" in my coin.mx account transaction history. Hopefully they'll be able to cancel on their end. Of course today is a holiday Smiley

You can try contacting both of them ASAP and maybe they haven't actually sent yet.  I don't think there is any way at all to reverse a transaction after it's sent.  Maybe there is some way to get the "data" from the LTc wallet?  But the LTC wallet won't accept the BTC data obviously.
