this is how it's going to go...
btc will be ~$10 by next friday.
Every hungry speculator out there who has been watching BTC this last month will see a huge bargain. They all invest HEAVILY. Small spike in price of BTC but no higher than 17 tops. BTC wavers around 12-15$ for a few weeks.
crashes to under 5$ due to the fact no-one buying or selling.
Since the ONLY market for BTC is speculative trading, the market stalls.
BTC economy is represented mostly by purchases of goods and services, meaning very, very small.
BTC drops off the face of the earth. "early adopters" i.e. stoshi and the 20 odd friends he got to start this scam have already made out like thieves and left the building. Fools are left watching their money go with them.
News outlets report heavily on "File this under Epic Troll" and "never believe anything you see on the internet" everyone laughs.
The only thing I regret in this BTC experiment is; I wish I had thought of it first.

I'll bet you 500 BTC this does not happen....  Wink

I raise that bet. 1000 BTC that it does not happen.

Anyone who's telling you what's going to happen in the next month/year/reasonable stretch of time is lying. They don't know.

just conjecture my friend, like these type of forums are used for. (that and petty criticisms)

I tried to sent over some BTC to Mt. Gox just before all this happened... still 0 confirmations....

Also, people, I seriously doubt it's going to hit single digits again.

i wouldn't call it stable yet... mtgox is still lagging pretty badly. its api has a 400s delay right now. and trade sizes have dropped due to it, so we'll see what happens when the lag starts getting back into a manageable state.

It needs to keep going down though to legitimately balance out the economy though. stopping in the 30s is only going to keep a bubble, albeit a smaller one.

What's happening now is a lesson for those bullish fools who believes in everlasting deflation of bitcoin. Just eat this.

Bitfloor is being slow too! I should have traded when it was at 48 last night! I bought 1k worth at 34 and I need to get them out of there! To be honest, I'm sure that the price will go back up again at some point, and I am in here for the long haul, but it would have been nice to make some money purely by the price rise. Oh well..

I feel it's going to return to pre-spike levels plus a few percentages.  Maybe 20-30.

I want to get into a position to buy ASAP but Mt.Gox is going pretty slow.
