I guess people get a bit worry when looking into a decentralized market place because of the fact other things come to play like drugs and a bit more dark net stuff.
Quite interested in finding out what you are planning to create considering you don't want to decentralize it.
What kind of marketplace are you looking to create?
Personally I prefer sites that are unique. Buying a script will mean that your site as well as others are basically clones of each other with very little between them.
A custom made site, although more costly, offers more flexibility and also gives a site its uniqueness that pits it above from the rest.

I too like uniqueness in things but I can assure you that the majority of buyers prefer to get a good price over a good looking store.
If he can do both then he will make a killing.

Im Currently wanting to create a 'legal' Marketplace for Bitcoin. However, I can't find any scripts on the internet for this.

If you just want to great a shop where you can offer goods for Bitcoins then there are plenty of open source scripts. Just do some research for Wordpress and Magento script. They provide free plugins to process payments with Bitcoin.
I think there are plenty of open source free scripts, the one used in silk road was open source I think (just don't sell anything illegal lol).
