You and many others have been saying that for years and it's pure 100% bullshit.

Crypto currency is decentralized and a free market there have been effort in the past but people will just ignore this, this market is very speculative all we just got to do is to educate people in choosing the right project to invest money, some people are corrupt that they want this scenario where they can pump useless coins...

I already did this..

[Scene Rules] The Council™ ...I'm in charge  Cool

But seriously, this wouldn't work.. Money Corrupts .
Take Gox or Cryptsy for example.. didn't matter how many warnings were given.
Coins or anything else are no better a situation.

No, laws corrupt.  Being able to make laws is like investing in power.  In the same way as you buy new investments with the money you already have to get more money, if you can make laws, you make them such that you obtain more power to make laws.  This is the business of the state: to make laws that give them more power to make laws.   In the end, you make laws about everything that has it your way.

Creating laws and regulations is useless if there is no one to moderate and enforce them.
And I doubt  that we will see forum staff intervening with internal contents of the announcement threads.
As I like concept of regulation for better visibility and transparency it is better to  ditch that idea as it is unenforceable.

This will only come with experience. So the best way to be good at choosing and knowing which ones are good is to read a lot. Read all the threads at the altcoin announcements section and see for yourself what is happening there. Soon you will be good at sorting the good the bad and the ugly.

Hey community I was thinking if we formed a set of rules that alternative currencies must abide to in their announcement post we could filter out a lot of shit coin. By doing so we could save a lot of energy and not get scammed for our money.

I am fairly new to this community but have noticed the shit coin trend. If we could somehow set these circumstances, coins worth while could get more attention and have a better possibility of succeeding.  These laws would be a somewhat of a regulation for not only the safety but the reputation of the cryptocurrency community. People on the outside don't want to be apart of stupid schemes and I would assume neither do we.

These rules could be predominately be placed on coins hosting ICOs and presales.  If we don't do this some regulator will eventually come through.

What do you guys think? I want the best for this community because it's the first time in history where crowd funding has taken place like this. Not only is it crowdfunding but the industry is new and we are right at the beginning of a block chain boom.  Cool
