I am wondering why so many people are willing to create a Token on either BSC or ETH, can you please explain that to me?

It's because those who main net are the top of the list, specially ETH, although it has it's problem with the increasing fees, hence there are projects moving to BSC.

Also, how would you create a successful token in your opinion?

There is no secret formula, it's easily to create a token, the problem is will it have something unique to offer? Or it is just another hype, and the only intention is to pump and dump and make the people behind rich.

making tokens will be successful if there is more and more people interest in ico, and once again trying to convince many people that your token project will be very advanced and not to harm many people for personal gain.

In every successful token have a good people behind in it. It will not successful without them. You can say that it has a good developer if that tokens shows progress. So in choosing such token, it is good to know first the background and the people behind it because knowing it makes you understand the use of such tokens. It is one way also to know how good the people working on it. It also makes you feel confident enough in every choices and moves you do.

agrees with @Rikafip most "new token makers" nowadays only have the goal of getting rich quick....i did an exploration at Pancakeswap, every day a new token is created but the token's lifespan is only a few hours after that it will have no value, you should be careful with new tokens like this.  btw, without a competent, honest, integrity developer i don't think a token will be successful.

A lot of the developer teams hold a huge chunk of the total supply. Hence if their token gains traction and rise in price, then their holdings rise in value as well.

1. A great promise
2. Great marketing

That's pretty much it for like 99% of the cryptocurrency projects in existence.

99.99 % (I'm being optimistic here) of the tokens are made solely for the purpose of making its creators rich, without any real need or utility whatsoever. There are some odd cases where creators want to get rich (nothing wrong with that afterall) but token and the whole idea actually has some sense and use case.

Regarding your question about successful token (at least in the short term) recipe is pretty simple, just focus on whatever is currently popular (DeFi, NFT, meme coins) and shill it like there's no tomorrow.
