And by the way, JC I've been waiting for that english accent tutorial like the thing that I've asked you before.

I'm sorry about that. I haven't tried to sort out the Audacity software on the Windows machine. It's unlikely that I will try, and I'll install Ubuntu Studio once I've deleted the Windows system.  The idea was to select some of the posts on Fit to Talk, and let people click on a speaker icon if they want to hear me reading them.

Maybe just an off-topic but, JC why don't you put up a link to the Fit to Talk site in your signature? It will be much easier for people to get there.
One more idea, put up a list with links to all your projects and link it in the signature.
I still find project you have started and gave up on some time ago but I have never been aware of. You have a bad exposure, use the signature for it. It's powerful tool, you know.

The problem is, is won't fit on the signature space...  Tongue JC has so many projects that can't be counted on our hands and feet. So I guess picking the only major sites would be good Smiley

Edited: I didn't see your avatar on that snoweagle website. i was wrong. It is in there after the licking boobs haha

Also, that's a crapton of domains. Wow.

Another problem is the number of mySQL d/b that one can/should use.  Too many really ups the cost of hosting. I tend to keep them for sites like my photo gallery - Jazz pics. I seem to be getting more page views on Snow Eagle than I would have expected, so I'll probably keep it as a personal site to help me at Bitcoin Talk, and add some advertising to see if I can pick up a few Satoshi.

I probably ought to have a donations button as well, maybe I'll set up a wallet to pick up some Bitcoin dust. Smiley

Any reason why you're not using Wordpress instead? @Jet Cash. It would make things a lot easier in my opinion. You do you though. Best of luck.

I don't really like Wordpress, it seems to be over complex and insecure to me. I use the other fork of the old B2 blog software for blogs - b2evolution.

These are static pages really, so I don't want the server overload from using a CMS. I have to be a bit careful, as I've got getting on for 500 domains ( I've been cutting down recently ).

Alright. Understandable.

Anyway, if you still haven't finalized your decision on what template you're going to use permanently, I suggest using Bootstrap[1] instead. It looks more modern and looks better responsive-wise. Though I'm not sure if the overall look of the site is a priority for you.

Also, that's a crapton of domains. Wow.

Thanks for the comment, and I do that intermittently.

Many of the projects are experimental, and I look at the merits and replies to decide if I should continue, or even delete them. The Snow Eagle one is going to be a tool for me rather than anything else, but it will be public, so anyone can access the pages. I deleted the Jet Cash academy as I had no interest in that at all. Ask a Legendary is being hit by spammers, and I'll need to put some restrictions on there, it's fairly quiet anyway.

Fit to Talk takes up quite a lot of time, and some of the early helpers have slipped away. I've just had to close registration, as it is being hit by spammer registrations, and it is a nuisance to keep checking them. BT members can still join, but they will have to apply by PM here. That will keep it as a members' only training project.

I think the purpose is clear, just to have some fun and to make sure that the gallery page is not empty. You don't have to think the "usefulness" of something like this I guess.

The idea is not to save/collect member avatars, it is only to put content on that gallery page of JC new site.

I personally think doing something like that is fine. Anyone who doesn't want to be on that gallery page can simply request JC to delete the pic, right?

That's it exactly, and thanks for your opinion.

One benefit is that it provides a list of senior members who feel that their personal identity is more important than temporary affiliations with bounty programmes. Reviewing their recent posts may be interesting, and could lead to participating in some interesting discussions that may have been overlooked.

I think that i didn't get the idea behind this JC. What's the point of having all bitcointalk members avatar in this site? I mean how it could be useful?

- Right click on the picture
- Click on save picture

And automatically I have the person avatars.

The problem is that our boss doesn't have an avatar https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51vbBSbXshL._SY463_.jpg soz boss just trollin'

Exactly my thought, If i need any member avatar, I will simple go to the person profile

- Right click on the picture
- Click on save picture

And automatically I have the person avatars.

A better idea could have been creating your own custom crypto / bitcointalk related avatars

and hosting it for members to wear if they like your work.

In the run long it could be making an income for you when people want to make a custom avatars for their-self.

I'm using a template to help me to build the Snow Eagle site, and the template includes a number of sample pages. One of these is a gallery page. In the Snow Eagle thread, one member suggested that the listings shouldn't be restricted to members or below, and I decided that it would become too cumbersome if it was expnaded. However, I did think it might be fun to list all the personal avatars used by Bitcoin Talk members, and I started to create this page -
http://snoweagle.com/pages/avatars.html

I'm still not sure of the copyright issues when these avatars are used to link to members profiles ( that is planned for the near future). So, do you think I am OK with this page, and what should I do to allow members to opt out of the listing?
