There are also bbcode to html conversors and vice-versa I have used them before. Just googling you can find them.

my signature has just three lines with pretty characters (lol)
some of the others in this thread show much more in depth.

the obvious problem with trying to emulate them is that there is no copy/pasting of those sigs to see how they work.

i've just realised tables and size seems to be at least one fancy trick.
being able to do some automated colour grading would be extra fancy..

lol that tiny field in yr profile editing is not the most conducive to experimenting.

Would http://www.wysibb.com/ help you out?

this looks interesting/promising Smiley thanks

Why not just use bitcointalk? Put in your code, and submit it and check one of your previous posts and take a look at the signature. Because you still have to watch the character limit and the 42px height limit.

Yeah, that would require to know the code already, he is not asking where he can test it but rather where to learn to do it, it's not easy, I tried it for myself here and it ended up being shit, you need to know all the parameters.

If the platform that you mention in OP exist, everyone in this forum will be a signature designer.
A lot of us will be active in participating the signature design contest.

it would be nice to have a WYSIWYG style editor :p

You can test BB codes on your posts, or google for "BBcode editor" , the height'width limit and rank limits might be a problem though
