I think we should encourage him to make one. Let see what he can bring. He said "improvements", I am happy to see improvements as long as they are good. So go on with your work dude. And are you creating a wallet for some new coin? Is it too early to ask about more details of the coin? If no paste it here and someone might offer help.

Why do you want to make wallet? Do you want to start Bitcoin Wallet Service? hah, I think no. There are many secure and good wallets to use and I think you don't need to waste time on making your own wallet but if you want to grow your knowledge than I'll tell you something:

https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-start-building-a-Bitcoin-Wallet-Service <-- There isn't any interesting information but I if you want read it. I think you tried to google and didn't find any interesting information like me and that's why you posted here but to make bitcoin wallet you need good developers, money and etc.

they all have links to their source code on their website for example https://electrum.org/#community which has the link to github repository here: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/

not recommended (always use their official site to find): you can also google things like "electrum source code" to find the github link.

you can also use https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/ which shows https://github.com/keepkey/multibit for multibit

My first response would be if you don't know where to find it you probably shouldn't be making wallets  Tongue
Check out the Github's of both those wallets to find all the files which are then compiled to create the wallet program.
