Credit cards are okay as long as you will not always use it just to buy for nonsense things.  It is good if you want to buy appliances that will land on 0% interest.  We usually buy appliances using credit card with 0% interest for 12 month installment basis.  Just use it wisely and you and your credit card will become best friends for life. If you cross the line into getting in debt with them then you are indeed fucked. A pal of mine must've turned about £100 debt into thousands after consistently failing to pay his £3 a week or something and getting fined constantly. He should've just milked them to the max and gone abroad for a few years.

If you only spend what you've got on them then they're very useful. I've never lived beyond my means but it's an easy spiral to tumble down if things are tight.

Even the head of Barclaycard himself said that he'd never use a credit card. At least they're not as bad as payday loan fuckheads.

Yep, and they've been doing it forever.   When I was your age I got into CC trouble and it took quite a while to extricate myself from it.  I blame myself, though, because I made the choice to misuse the credit.  They definitely can serve a valid purpose,  but buying expensive luxuries isn't one of them.

If you ask most people, they will tell you that credit card companies - all of therm, are bad. they charge 20% interest on all purchases made, and they always want you to drive yourself more and more into debt. What I don't like about credit card companies is when you're broke (like me) they offer little assistance, since you owe them a lot of money. I understand you have to pay back the creditors, but sometimes CC companies offer little to no help when you're in a financial crisis. I am beginning to believe that credit card companies give you a really big credit limit, and offer a "rewards program" for signing up with them. I now realize that this is just a ploy to bget you to sign up with their credit card.

I'm 25. I'm a young adult like most others who realize how bad credit card companies are. It seems to me that banks target young people to suck them into a debt they can't pay back. Threatening phone calls and letters add more to the problem. They're like the mafia.
