Business is business, Binance wouldn't make a decision that they won't gain anything. In this case, They are sure aiming for a good marketing from football fans and of course from Ronaldo, It's about showing his fame and of course money from both sides.
Their fame of Ronaldo is of a big scale and Binance is truly on the win on this one. With millions of fans worldwide, let's just if Binance managed to make a thousand to a hundred thousand from those fans. Look who's on the win and you're right, it's Binance.

I remember celebrities hyping some random tokens before and being paid. They should be smart like Rolando because he all do is to make his own NFT than being accountable in promoting a random shitcoin that surely get rugged after the developers abandon the project.
Many of those didn't do their due diligence before hyping and having a commercial from those projects and they have to take the recoil of it to themselves because most of them have been sued by the SEC.

Probably you should spend some time reading about those worthless NFTs to understand the reason why A football Icon like Ronaldo is getting involved. Don't tell me it is all about the money because that will sound very ridiculous considering he is among the top earners in football history.
People keep referring to NFT as worthless (and I know most are) but it kinda surprising to see the caliber of people in top positions in sports, entertainment, fashion, politics, and businesses jumping into this worthless trend! NFT is not the only trend to make money from yet the interest in it keeps increasing. Why is that?
Perhaps those getting involved can see the future and knows the benefit of jumping in at the early stage. Besides this is not just about Ronaldo but the entire NFT space.
I think Ronaldo is having a business deal with Binance is the first reason, but anything that may be the reason, it is still a means to make more money, for Binance and Ronaldo. There is no other reason why Binance will in be sport than to make more money, also no reason why football players will involve in crypto than to make more money, that is the reality.

All companies are jumping into NFT because it is the trend and nothing more than that, they know what people follow bring them more money. Or what can NFT offer in the future?

it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo has just signed a partnership with Binance to have his own NFT collection starting from November 18.

Binance is hitting strong the Footbal industry and already counts with several partnerships with many prominent players as well as Football clubs. This is good news for the industry as it brings a lot more visibility to cryptos.
Of course, Cristiano knows when to invest and where. The WEB3 is growing day by day and it is good that the sport of football is brought together with the virtual world. The partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi, and the famous players was one of the best partnerships, as these famous football players have wide fans who love sports. Binance would like to Bring the sports industry and its fans to join it and increase the popularity of the NFTS of these famous players and the involvement of sports fans in the cryptocurrency market, and I see that Binance and its team have chosen the right time for these partnerships, and it is already before the FIFA World Cup approaching.

C. Ronaldo NFT collection coming on Binance and he want fans to join his Web 3 community, neither is it related to trading nor gambling, it is just about C. Ronaldo and the centralised Binance. Good luck to him if he is endorsed by Binance.

I do not know much about these worthless NFTs that people are making them to worth something, isn't C. Ronaldo selling the NFTs for his own more profits?

Celebrities will only gain from NFTs as some people will want to buy his iconic moments. Which means this is just about C. Ronaldo, but has nothing to do with gambling.

I think Cristiano Ronaldo are gambling with his reputation by getting involved with Binance and also with NFTs. Yes, NFTs might be the trend at the moment, but I see them going the ICO route and it is a road that is going towards a dead end.  Roll Eyes

Also, the relationship between Binance and FTX .....and what happened recently, should signal red flags with anyone that wants to partner with Binance. (They basically threw FTX under the bus....)  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I would agree, maybe sports personalities are really involving in crypto, (was surprised that Brady and Curry are in the FTX bandwagon). And who knows, maybe the hype surrounding NFT's might die in the next crypto cycle.

So this is a big gamble for Ronaldo, although he has a lot of money from playing and endorsement, but still, when everything crumbles with Binance, his reputation might take a big hit as well. So let's see how this partnership will go or how it will last.

Good news for crypto but C. Ronaldo isn’t having his brightest days lately. I heard his team mates don’t want him in the team anymore. That’s a very sad ending for a great player like C.R. On the other hand that’s an incredible thing for Binance/CZ. He shows the world he has the funds to hire anybody he wants. Messi, Ronaldo, Pele it don’t matter. If CZ wants it, it is just a matter of setting the price.

LOL.. at first I thought that Cristiano Ronaldo has become the brand ambassador for the Binance exchange, looking at the title. But then I realized that the partnership is just for the NFT sales (not a big fan of NFTs here). But something is better than nothing. Ronaldo is perhaps the most popular sportsperson in the world right now, and his decision to have some sort of a partnership with the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world is beneficial for all of us. And the timing also matters, as the sector is currently reeling from the impact of FTX meltdown.

Old news. But I am a little bit curious why Ronaldo's NFT collection is coming very late on November 18. With all that is happening with the market right now, I don't think there is much interest for this. Not to mention that the hype around NFT has already died down a lot. This also includes the hype around Web3. Although it seems Web3 has a future, I don't think this is exactly the right time for it. People don't find it necessary at this point.

Anyways, the Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collection is coming on November 18 as per the tweet.

https://twitter.com/Cristiano/status/1592520297290551308

It was great that they shared this news with Cristiano Ronaldo. Binance is one of the best in the world. If Cristiano Ronaldo is going to launch an Nft, Binance will create a nice partnership as an intermediary. As I understand it, they are working on a different innovation after Fan Tokens. I'm waiting for November 18.

And there's an ongoing Binance Football Fever. Might be good timing to hype it now that Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collections are about to launch.

Not getting yet into details of this Football Fever but it involved 4 Fan tokens namely, ALPINE, SANTOS, PORTI, and LAZIO.

Their price isn't cheap to consider. What hype. Always DYOR.

This is good news to hear as the whole FTX thing and the partnership with both the Miami Dade Arena as well athletes such as Tom Brady scared me in to thinking that partnerships between professional sports teams as well as athletes and major crypto exchanges/companies might be in a bit of risk of losing potential high end representatives.

I hope Ronaldo's Popularity increases with this cup, as he needs it after the riots involving United.
In fact, I believe that these NFT can be a good opportunity for token holders to earn a lot of money, because I think they should appreciate a lot depending on how Cristiano Ronaldo performs in this World Cup.
Does anyone happen to have the link to the NFT so we can take a look? Or will they only be released after launch?

Cristiano Ronaldo has a huge fan base and one the most successful sportsmen in our time, this sort of thing will be of benefit to both Cristiano Ronaldo and binance. This partnership formed between Ronaldo and binance will not end with Ronaldo as I trust that binance has the ability to extend its relationship and deals to order successful sports people.

I have become very skeptical when it comes to news or business dealings about these centralized exchanges because they seem to be driven purely by profit without considering their ability to manage risk. Ronaldo is a very big and influential brand with a large followership on social media. The only benefit the crypto space would gain from this  partnership is publicity that might be able to attract more crypto users and investors. Apart from that, both Ronaldo and Binance are just advocating for personal gains.

Anything that's associated with Ronaldo is a great thing and for sure this is a deal with massive amounts in the contract. It's good visibility and exposure for Binance.
Ronaldo is huge figure so what binance pay to him to promote their platform is really worth it since his influence is really big knowing how huge the fan base of the guys globally. Binance is now rocking with getting him and for sure this is good addition in terms using Ronaldo on marketing aspects.

Binance is now taking good measures to be more known by global audience so I will not be surprised if they became more successful for acquiring good deals by having those influential person on planet these days.
That's a sure thing, they've got a big collaboration with Ronaldo and exact with the time being for the World Cup. There's no doubt about that, I'm just telling you what could have happened if it's last year.
With the community and support that Ronaldo has, Binance could go that far with those fans that loves Ronaldo and will start to get into the crypto market through Binance because it is what their idol is being partnered with.

I saw this news yesterday on twitter and i must say that binance is doing so much for the industry, though not for free as i believe there is always something in for them to profit, CZ is a good business man and a kind of person every one in the community should learn from, Binance on the other hand is the biggest and one of the most popular crypto exchanges in the world, so i personally am not surprised they are attracting partnerships from all around the world, from different sectors and from well known and prominent people.
But my only fear is that, if anything happens to binance, then the entire crypto market, (which also affects crypto gambling/betting industry) is doomed and will take a very long time to recover, if at all, any recovers except Bitcoin.

I just saw an ad from Binance that they're attracting customers to visit them and take those Ronaldo NFTs. I think it's too late for Binance to hype the NFT thing for any endorser that they have.
It's much better if they've done this deal last year and with the short span, I'm sure that their sales should have skyrocketed if being done at the right time. But, maybe there are still some other deals that Ronaldo has to prioritize. Anyway, will there be a chance that Binance will allow this NFT to be used in gambling material and be partnered with other casinos?

I think still a good deal as we are in the world cup, I mean that is still Ronaldo that we are talking here, one of the best player so there is still a lot of hype surrounding his name. And maybe this is just a test for Binance as well partnering with world class athlete, regardless of NFT or promotion of their crypto exchange or anything that relates to their product. And I think this is huge for crypto, and for sure there could be another crypto exchange that will follow Binance path. But I guess CZ has the bragging rights again as he set the precedence. Probably the NFT hype will go till the next bull run.

Not only with Ronaldo for sure. Popularity is a huge aspect in this industry. Given that he's known in a particular industry, and as you guys mentioned that he has fan base, Binance would make use of his popularity to also be known or recognized by more people. Quite out of the topic but with the dame idea; Actually, to those who are not aware, even celebrities partners with crypto projects and exchanges to release their own token.  I'm talking about individuals who are popular with a not related field but with huge fan base as well. That's how powerful influence is. But unfortunately in my country, those tokens which are listed on exchanges and are under names of influencers and artists, usually don't last for a long run.

But I think that they're able to maximize this deal when they've done this even not during the WC and that's during the bull run where money is really flowing almost everywhere in the market which includes NFTs.

Great work for Binance to get CR7 and pushes him to publish NFT with Binance. Though NFTs are not doing great as of the moment, but I know they can still offer something big in the future, they are not fully utilized yet and this is good opportunity for CR7. This is very timely for the up coming world cup, Binance leads all the way and having that CR7, is already like an advertisements for them, such a great marketing move for Binance.

Right, it might not be doing great, but you see a lot of big companies are also into NFT's right now. Because they are betting that it will be huge in the future.

And so Binance did a partnership with CR7, and this is healthy for both sides, more exposure for Binance and then then CR7 making money with NFT. And what a best place to market it but thru the world cup, the biggest sporting even so you can see how good CZ's business side is. Knows the timing to promote and market Binance and excellent choice of players as well.

Actually a win-win situation for both Binance and CR7 which they could really both benefit into each other which you do know what i mean.It is really that not surprising for Binance on making up such move

to make their names even more known considering that Football fans is surely a lot worldwide. Its really an extreme exposure if you do ask me and speaking about NFT then i do agree that it isnt really

that much already on a trend now which we cant really be sure of Ronaldo would benefit out that much but well it does really depend on the hype that had been made on.

It's not surprising really, these hotshot football players have lots of followers and it is going to generate huge revenue for both sides in the agreement. Ronaldo is probably a bit sour after learning that Manchester United are making money from him via their own NFT's and he probably doesn't get much income from that. In reality, all of these footballers even up to the biggest legends, have a "shelf life" on and off the pitch, so they should rightly try to capitalize off of it. Let's hope that Binance doesn't end up falling over like FTX, because we're already seeing celebrities being sued in the courts for advertising and promotion this failed exchange, he might be a juicy target later.

I'm not sure this NFT will attract the interest of new people to enter the crypto market, because I see that there are so many Ronaldo fans out there in the hope that Binance wants to invite many new people. Ronaldo's followers can get the NFT from the Binance exchange. The NFT market is declining along with the market crypto since the news that came from the FTX case, still not sure how this method can succeed in attracting public sympathy again

Yes. This is an extraordinary achievement made by Binance to place CR7 as Binance's NFT. We know there are a lot of CR7 fans around the world right now who are going to collect the NFT developed by Binance. This will also increase the number of Binance users in the future. CR7's twit also makes other world investors who will glance at the Binance platform to join and invest in Binance.
This partnership can bring more users to Binance and probably, we will see the success of the NFT of CR7. This is a win win situation for both parties and I know this is an expensive contract to deal with. CR7 is a superstar with a lot of followers, hope to see good NFTs from him aside from his own picture, also looking forward for the other usage of his NFTs.

Celebs trying to make some money out of crypto without really spending anything but their time is never really good for us. They just want our money, do not bring that much money into the market from outside, and they just use their face and take your money and that’s it.

This is not a good thing for any of us, he is just trying to make money from his fame and NFT is another way of doing that, consider it the same as his shampoo commercials and nothing else because that’s the reality right now, he is only doing it because of money. NFT or binance or crypto or anything like that doesn't even matter to him, as long as he gets paid from this in the end when it’s over.

I would have preferred Binance to sign a contract with Cristiano Ronaldo for advertisement purposes, like Cristiano appearing on a TV advertisement or something similar.
I am afraid the NFT market has suffered much these last months for it to be a reliable form of advertisement. Unless this NFT was an idea by Cristiano himself?

I also come across the update online about this and i think the exchange Binance is trying all means to get the global attention of the world in building reputation through partnership of this kind, they have been showing interest with high caliber of individuals or government in promoting their NFTs and through that making their own fame and wealth in the same way, other celebrities have had similar encounter with the same exchange.

If this news is most recent from Ronaldo's camp, it is rather late because he would be among the last stars who I can count, that is yet to launch his own NFT.  It doesn't matter what his rift with Manchester united is, it is a matter that has been fort-coming, it is fortunate it so happened some days before the commencement of the world cup.
Ronaldo has a lot of fans, and he being a personal brand will definitely hit success with this launch as with other stars who have been endorsed or launched their own NFTS.

It doesn't say much when a big name commits itself to such companies and constructions. It will still yield a nice amount for Ronaldo. Although he has enough money. We have also seen this with former top football players, who then become ambassadors for a gambling site. That also means nothing. If there are problems with a site or a payout, users should not think that these celebrities are going to solve it for you. They have absolutely nothing to do with that part of the site and are only there for the image of the site towards the customers. I would almost say that you just have to pay more attention, because sites want to buy a certain reputation indirectly through such constructions.

I have mixed feelings about this news. On the one hand, the release of the NFT does not oblige to anything, and in such cases it is nothing more than digital autographs. It is unlikely that if someone makes unsuccessful investments in the NFT, he will blame Ronaldo for this. On the other hand, the crypto now has a rather negative background, and such news from Ronaldo, who carefully monitors his reputation, surprised me.

He’s not having a good time at the moment, is he. That interview & his failure to get on the pitch with Man Utd. This is Ronaldo we’re talking about though, the guy is just a total winner. It wouldn’t surprise me if he goes on to have a great World Cup. Who knows what Portugal could achieve with CR7 leading the line.

They have been good partners since. I have read that new about the both sides Binance and Cristiano Ronaldo in close relationship to influence some sport fans to make use of this chance to advertise the NFT.
Imagine Binance breaking with FTX and FTX.us and Cristiano Ronaldo breaking bonds with Manchester United soon, is this a coincidence or what?  Binance are also doing same with Argentina they are in a good partnership with Argentina sponsoring the National team

it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo has just signed a partnership with Binance to have his own NFT collection starting from November 18.
I heard this news in June that Cristiano Ronaldo signed with Binance to launch his NFT and now they are launching at the eve of FiFA World Cup but there is accusation from fans because Cristiano Ronaldo appeared for an interview couple of days ago accusing Manchester United owners for betraying him and so on and now when he announced this in Twitter he is getting some backlash especially from MU fans.

I would say CR7 is late in launching his NFT, majority of the prominent players already launched theirs when NFT was seen as a hot topic and even Messi launched when the hype was at its peak but right now the NFT hype have died down and lets see how much they will be able to raise during the sale.

This is good news for the industry as it brings a lot more visibility to cryptos.

Visibility, yes but it's just another form of NFT hype. I'm not really into celebrities or popular people into NFT because of an obvious reason that it's just hype.

Anyways, the Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collection is coming on November 18 as per the tweet.

It's not the news that they shared but it was a promotion and luckily Ronaldo agrees with the deal, I think that is because he was offered with good money by binance. Binance won't do that if they didn't know that they can recover what they have paid because Ronaldo is a famous personality in the field of football and his fans could easily purchase the NFT's by showing their support to the player.

Those who aren't a true fan but only a fan of cryptos/nft or simply a fan of making out money through the hype will also ride the trend. Binance never stops innovating because they want to grow more. They want to dominate the crypto world.

This is already old news. Here is my thread on the same topic from June 24, 2022: Binance signs Cristiano Ronaldo for exclusive partnership to push NFTs

Other than that, I do not see how this is related to gambling in any way.

it is not related to gambling and it is also not related to bitcoin, this should be moved to altcoins section. I believe that with so many problems that cristiano ronaldo has at manchester united at the moment he should not be so focused on this NFT project, he is more focused on having good performances in the world cup games to be able to move to a good club and leave manchester united

I'm not entirely sure if it will lead to great success for both parties, but maybe in other ways a partnership like this will increase the visibility of the exchange. Here Ronaldo is an artist for Binance to promote his services, but on the other hand this will also make binance get a lot of profit.

Binance is hitting strong the Footbal industry and already counts with several partnerships with many prominent players as well as Football clubs. This is good news for the industry as it brings a lot more visibility to cryptos.
The crypto industry has now even received a lot of attention from various types of sports. Not only football, I think there are many other sports that have partnered with the crypto industry. Obviously this would benefit both industries, but of course it would not be a guarantee that the project would be highly credible.

I worry a bit that Binance is following in FTX's footsteps a little.  The only real difference between the two operations is that Binance was successful with BNB where FTX got a little overzealous and wasn't able to keep their FTT token propped up.  I hope that Binance isn't having a slow motion replay of FTX with sponsorships like this (I hear Tom Brady is free) and while Binance seems too big to fail at the moment, there were certainly people who had that opinion of FTX a week ago...  Be careful.  Just remember what exchanges do, how they should be utilized, and don't trust anyone.  This catastrophe for the market isn't over yet, and it's highly likely that there will be more failures ahead.  Don't get comfortable.

You, old news. Nowadays nobody is going to sign up for NFTs they're mostly gone along with many exchanges that provided liquidity or so fake liquidity in some cases. The whole market for NFTs is no longer here and Christiano will have to wait for another bull run before the profits start pouring. You need an influx of new investors and another wave of FOMO to resurrect this industry and chances are it will never come back like ICOs never did.
