I'm going to open a microbrewery in Chicago, IL. My intention is that the business will accept bitcoin and leading altcoins. To make sure I don't run fowl of the law, I want to get an attorney consultation as in the US alcohol is a tightly regulated industry. You usually have to be licensed at both state and federal levels, sometimes also county and state, you also have to report every gallon you sell as you are taxed on volume (And that's not even the beginning of its complexity). Because the law is so strict, there are many pitfalls that could banrupt me or send me to jail.

To raise funds for the early stage of business research, I have launched a bitcoinstarter campaign to get (among other things) an attorney consultation. I need between 1 to 1.5k USD to pay for everything. (https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/369) There is a cute cat picture in there.

To benefit the bitcoin community, I will post the transcript on this forum so that everyone may benefit from the questions the lawyer answered. I intend to ask many questions, including those that pertain purely to opening a conventional microbrewery so all aspiring brewers should benefit from it. Furthermore, I'll try to make sure as much of the transactions as possible are done with BTC, thus benefiting the Bitcoin economy.

And yes, that is my cat. Given how dangerous it's for them, I would never actually give him alcohol  Lips sealed . As a bonus you also get store credit and discount coupons at the future brewery, so if you ever in Chicago here's your chance to get drunk for cryptocoins. The estimated opening is late 2014, early 2015.
