Also, anyone know about whether it is officially legal to run a bitcoin dice site like JD or PD or CrowdDice.com?  If that's not really legal of course anyone would stay away from registration.
If you're from the US you're out of luck and can only do it anonymously. Some countries on the other hand have explicit laws stating bitcoins are neither money or a financial instrument (or have no bitcoin-related laws whatsoever), which means gambling with bitcoins is the same as gambling with monopoly money or potatoes. In other words, legal (for now).

No I'm not from US. I heard that people can register a limited company in another jurisdiction thus evade this legal issue, is that true?

It's possible to register in some countries like Malta.

Guys, it seems being anonymous is the norm for dice site operators. Personally I want to  make a difference, and is right now thinking about register my site under a legal entity such as a limited company, but would that give you more faith in my site?

Honestly speaking, I feel it's really not ED's intention to run away.

They most likely know they can be very profitable in the long run, but bad luck came to the House. If they don't run and pay out 1DiCe1, they risk losing all their investors' faith.

Why at CrowdDice.com this won't happen?

Because unlike investors, game creators know they're playing dice games, not something like a mutual fund investment, and will understand a dice game could cost their wager.

Also unlike investors, game creators has the control over how their game is constructed, say a creator with 1 btc can choose to create 1 game of 1 btc, or he/she can creator 100 games of 0.01 btc each or even 1000 games of 0.001 btc each. I think in 1DiCe1's situation, the creator with 1000 games of 0.001 btc each will not feel a thing, and the creator with 1 btc will know he/she lost a dice game, and that is it.

That means game creators will have full knowledge that how his/her portfolio is managed. So in some sense, game creator is like Investor V2.0, supplying the fund, knowing their risks, and able to manage the risks.

As long as creators and players are happy, a dice site lives, and admin like me stay in business. And the longer I stay in business, the more money I make. Knowing there's a very stable long-term profitability reduce my urge to run in the short-term

By these, I am not saying my site is better than JD or PD. In fact, I still feel JD is the best for professional dice players, just want to point out the differences.

with CrowdDice.com there would never be such a problem, you'll never play against the house, but against other players

bad luck for 1DiCe1 and investors

Same at ED.  You weren't playing against the site, you were playing against the investors.  The site made a profit from every bet, just like you do on your site.

It's much the same.  You could decide to run off with player funds at any time, since you hold them which the bets are pending.

Glad to see you commented on my post, dooglus.  I see you as one of the most trust-worthy members in this forum.

I really like your site, Just-Dice. It has way more payout & profit levels than my site, so it's currently the best for professional dice players. And not a direct competition of my site. As my site is more intended for casual players, such as a small simple dice game between community friends.

However, there're a few differences I'd like to clarify between "Investor" on ED or JD and game creators on my site

1. Unlike investor, game creators are players themselves, so has the potential to instantly double his/her wager ( or lose it if bad luck )

2. Unlike investor, profits of Game creators is not proportional how much they put in my site, it's about turn-arounds, Ideally, game creators can deposit only enough fund to create one game, and re-create the game as soon as it's played by a player.  So game creators don't really need to put in a lot of fund at once.

3. Unlike investor, Game creator has control over how their game is visible to the players, through our creator link system, he/she can advertise his/her games and increase the rate it's played.

Of course I may get something wrong, dooglus please feel free to correct me

I like the idea of this site, it really got potential, but I still don't get the idea... what's the benefit of player over creator?

The player gets a lower edge than other dice sites.

yes, player only pay 0.9%, which is lower than other Dice sites such as JD or PD, means you can play longer and more chance you can win big
