2020, people will never forget this eventful year. We saw pandemic Covid 19 infection, and bitcoin goes institutional on this year.
The time I am making this post, each btc worths 23k USD. Now we have big fishes, institutional investors, wall street folks into crypto ground. We saw nice bull run already and I think it will not be like 2017. Instead of speculation, we are seeing that institutional money have entered. Giants are investing good percentage of their portfolio into crypto.
I expect massive adoption of crypto and crypto will be best investment

Thanks guys for the input. I'm completely new to cryptocurrency and the pitch raised a lot of red flags for me. Glad that I had clarified and checked with professionals before making any stupid mistakes. Went to check the number traced back to HK code but she claimed she was from China.

Don't trust easily with someone which offers an easy way of making money or something like that because that could not always true. We live on the internet, which so many fake news that we almost every day read and see. Nothing is free today, and everything that we want need to have the effort to get that. We don't know how they will use the way to trick us because they can use anything without we realize. So be careful OP.

That's already a hint that you must stop talking to her and don't trust people that much giving opportunity that seems deceiving.

Summary of the story: Met this girl, seems to be interested in me so on and so forth. Number is based in HK but comes from China. Was willing to help me by giving me inside information on investments via cryptocurrency and is willing to walk me through it.

If she gave you reliable inside trading information. There's a chance she is affiliated with the chinese crypto mining industry. If traders knew when chinese crypto miners were dumping BTC @ volume and at what price. It would be possible to profit and make money from it. It all depends upon how much risk and capital are required on your part.

If its low risk, there is a chance this girl is giving you a good opportunity to make $$. If its high risk then things are different.

Summary of the story: Met this girl, seems to be interested in me so on and so forth. Number is based in HK but comes from China. Was willing to help me by giving me inside information on investments via cryptocurrency and is willing to walk me through it. Instructed me to use Huobi app to exchange fiat currency to USDT. After that using the USDT to deposit into an electronic payment wallet trading site (http://electronicpayment88.com/index.html#/login). I did an internet trustworthiness check on both and came up with not many issues. Huobi is valid and security seems good with a large number of traders using it. The electronic wallet was a bit suspicious so I did a test and transacted a small amount between both platforms TO test the legitimacy of it. It passed as well. Can anyone tell me the legitimacy of these USDT (CoinTimes, key2018) Much appreciated.

Luckily you are not scammed by her as yet but be careful from the strangers who started to care for you and asking to invest in any platform. Most of them do it with the intention to get money from you or the platform they refer is their own created to get people's money. Only your near friends and family can give you good investment opportunities and you should always double check their authenticity before investing.

Let me give you one advice bro, once you're in online investment world, do not fall for any relationship approach. Everyone is in this space to make gain not to find love. Record have it that multiple times that scammers do appear as opposite sex just to lure you into their nest easily. You might be surprise the so called girl might be a guy like you or even if she's actually a lady, I've seen lots of lady scamming people. The fact that we have thousand of investors and traders in this forum and none of them have any idea about this particular platform send a very strong warning. The website got created just few weeks ago and with my experience in this space nothing good comes out of offers such as this

Best case scenario: the money you deposited to that electronicpayment88 disappears. Worst case scenario: you're a part of a crime and in a big legal mess. In any case, a random person from the Internet would not just want to help another random person. That's not the world we live in. And if this person doesn't have an obvious gain here, you're in trouble. Or, and inside information doesn't sound like anything trustworthy or morally right to me, so she might think you deserve to get your money stolen or worse. I am happy you seem to have decided not to go for it (judging by the last post).

eXch.cx - Automatic crypto Swap Exchange.
For the newbies reading this thread, don't get too anxious and decieved to go test the platform advertised on the OP or you'll end up getting scammed. Although this thread was written in an inquiring format, this could also be a trick by the OP to advertise their scamming exchange, this trick isn't new and have been exposed numerous times on the forum.  Don't just go trusting any user you see online most especially those that contact you via social media platforms like Telegram, Facebook etc introducing you to a money making opportunity as they're usually scammers hurting for preys.

Be rest assured, that legitimate projects hardly do one on one social media advertising instead they do public advertising by buying advert slots in well known cryptocurrency information related platforms or through paid bounties on cryptocurrency forums. Stay safe.

I would stay away from any stranger who suddenly wants to be involved with my money, it's a huge red flag. And someone with an inside info (assuming it's credible) redirecting you to an obscure and new exchange doesn't add up.

Doing a couple of successful transactions, doesn't mean it's legit or guarantees it wont zucc your money. Take a look at the exchanges which were once reputable and exit scammed. The girl most likely (and her team[?]) owns the sketchy website and is just doing that to gain your trust. Domain name and UI is enough for me to stay away, honestly. If there's barely any information about a certain service, then it's a no-touch zone.

If the site is illegitimate can you tell me what do people normally use? What about USDT stocks like CoinTimes, key2018, are they legit?  Because I read that scammers use the pump and dump method.

some of them are here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/crypto-exchanges-comparison-trade-fee-listing-fee-age-mobile-app-more-5079048. Wdym by "USDT stocks"?

It is a good trait that you have to ask first to avoid being victimized by the scam. It is okay to try and gain some experience as well as to know the result of what you are trying to do. It is also a good idea that you try it first with only a small amount and not with a big bump and you are not in a hurry to make a decision or trust it completely. It will also help or guide others like you to avoid these suspicious services.

It was hosted on Alibaba cloud which it's obvious they use the free trial on Alibaba cloud(Less budget)

So, you are lucky that the transaction between you and electronicpayment has been passed. How about if you sent a big amount and never pass?
They spend less budget on their website and they don't even have a good front-end design. So there is a big risk that the Electronicpayment will scam you.

Except for Huobi which is a well-known and legit exchange.

Inside information for trading is a crime. Nothing good will come from this. I would stay away and I advise you to do so.

Not in crypto. Roger Ver publicly admitted to doing it and declared it was a good thing.

All the same this sounds like a crock of runny shit. Unless she's yanking the phallus of the CEO of Bitmex on a weekly basis what useful info could some random internet bint have about crypto markets?

If she can post a photo of Arthur Hayes's penis with his and her face in it then we might be getting somewhere.

It is probably a scam. There are many signs. You are new so you don't recognize them, but for anyone that has been around a while and has seen these scams so many times, it is pretty obvious.

  • While Huobi and USDT are reasonably legitimate, electronicpayment88.com was created just a couple weeks ago and so it is likely to be a scam. They will probably just take your money.
  • Nobody has insider information on cryptocurrency investments except scammers, either because they are making it up or they are trying to manipulate you. Look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_and_dump
  • They are preying on your greed. Are you really a serious investor and in it for the long haul, or are you just trying to take an advantage of some once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?

First thing to realize is nothing comes for free. There's a hidden price to pay somewhere. Huobi is legit, secure it with a 2FA or mobile/email confirmation. The site you mentioned http://electronicpayment88.com is a joke. No one in sane mind should trust something like this.
It's a scam in the making. Don't use them.

You think you are smart and will make easy money, but there is always someone smarter and you will probably lose it.
