I was wondering the same thing.  I actually sent an e-mail the other day just for fun to see what kind of response I would get.  I'm secretly hoping there is at least one schill who everyone can make fun of until the end of time, but it's looking bleak.,  I don't even think the (supposed) fan that was blowing up their Facebook page (that is hauntingly empty) sent any money.

Dear Cryoniks:

I was just noticing that it's about time for your demo units to go live.  When can we expect to see one of these fine machines in action?  I am sure that everyone will be truly amazed when you get those bad boys cranked up.  Thanks!

That was about 10 days ago.  They must be very busy getting ready for the release  Tongue

Oh well.

it comes with free skyfiber... we should be able to get back our goat ROI by 5th moon

In an alternate timeline, the Cryoniks units evolve into SkyNet, leading to the rise of the machines, and the resulting "Judgement Day".

That site is still live?! I just checked and I cannot believe Cedartec.net still exists either!!

Yes, Cryoniks and Cedartec are still alive. Cedartec might be worse since they only accept bitcoin payments. For kicks, I placed an order and got a reply - looks like they're still up and functioning.

---

I'm not sure by what you mean by worse. I just played with Cryonics and their preferred method is the 413scammer favourite; wire transfer.

I agree that the differences are marginal, in terms of recourse. However, with a wire transfer, there needs to be an identified account holder - obviously with BTC, that isn't the case. Basically there is a better chance that regulatory authorities will be able to successfully investigate fraud in the case of a wire transfer. Those scammed won't likely get their funds back in either case, but it's easier to shut down a firm with a traceable bank account and prevent future transactions.

My whole village mortgaged our goats for one...   maybe we will have to sacrifice a few chickens to apease this asic god for deliverence

All the other villages are gonna be jealous, since they're not going to have the "Worlds first PC with on-board liquid nitrogen generator". Hope you saved enough goats to pay for the Africa Online service.

Wait.   You are getting skyfiber?  We paid more sheep than you paid goats and we only got a list of 300 baud Africa On Line (AOL) dial up modems that we could connect to.  Did you get the free Compuserve and Rusty and Eddies BBS memberships?

I agree, 100% guaranteed scam (or bad joke). My question is has anyone fallen for it and sent the funds?

I'm aware that I'm not likely to get any affirmative responses, but I'm curious to know if anyone has actually sent money to Cryonics? (https://cryoniks.com)

Yes - I know that the cost/TH is (was) too low, that the reputation of those associated is dubious at best and that the cooling technology is pure quackery as far as current science goes.

However, they have a slick website and perhaps not everyone does their diligence before ordering a $15K money making/time traveling device. The fact that they still have the site up and list their banking information for incoming wires is pretty bad - makes it more serious than an elaborate practical joke.

If anyone has actually sent them money, I'd like to know - please PM me. I'll keep your information to myself if that's your request.
