It is very clear that the management and team of floki coins don't have enough funds for advertising on this forum, street banners are cheaper than advertising on internet media, they think advertisements like that can be successful like the prime minister election, advertisements like that only a few Indians pass by who see it, the rest don't, how will floki coin investors know if it's like that.

Seriously? Metro? Flyovers? These people have gone so crazy that they are promoting spam projects on such platforms? This is really going to give a very bad name to the Indian crypto community, there are going to be Tons of people who will buy these Cryptocurrencies based on these ads as they would think if these are posted in metro then must be real otherwise government wouldn't allow it and then would get duped. I am surprised to see no authority is bating an eye on them, i remember unocoin founder got arrested for opening a Genuine bitcoin ATM while these people are promoting spams openly.

There are so many altcoins spreading the false news that the Bitcoin train has already left. It hasn't yet. Nobody is missing Bitcoin. I believe that even at $46,000, Bitcoin is still a good buy and anybody who wishes to hop on board today is not yet late. They're maybe late if they compare themselves with those who bought at $1 or $10 but the bigger population of the world has not yet even considered buying. Buying today means a lot years and decades from now.
Shocked

It's more psychological for those people when they see 1BTC is $46000 and the hope that 1 Floki could also turn into $1. They won't realize that even Shib Inu had been promoted widely that Coinbase added the token had not even reached a price of $0.01.

The ad is misleading people to pump and dump tokens but I would look at it in a good way because after this, the victims will have the chance to learn. What really matters in crypto, they could either learn to ride the pump and dump tokens or simply find their way to really analyze the BTC market and trade.

It depends. There is also the possibility that by losing money, by becoming victims of these specific cryptocurrencies, they will generalize and leave crypto altogether. There have been such cases. They're disappointed with their early or newbie crypto experiences so much so that they didn't come back to crypto anymore after their traumatic experience. That is why these types of marketing is wrong especially if they are targeted at newbies. Newbies should better study what crypto really is before jumping immediately into making investments.

While the government of India is still in discussion about presenting the crypto bills shit tokens are trying to use this time to get pumped by advertising openly. I guess this is the first crypto project that has been advertised on an Indian street. I have hardly seen them marketing on any internet platform. I am pretty much sure many Indian might have already invested heavily into it without even knowing what exactly FLOKI is all about.

but as long as your government is allowing that then I'm sure there is nothing we can do but to accept that reality though we can still help others before falling into this trap by letting them know the possibilities of this turning into scam lol.

the name it self sounds a Big Joke lol.
Hopefully, those people who see the advertisement will search for furthermore so they will realize that the advertisement can lead them to the wrong side.
They will find that bitcoin is a real investment than the other coins and they can start to invest in bitcoin using any amount, even for just $1.
Maybe they pay for some money to the advertisement broker to show their ads to the public so people can see them.
We can help them by telling them that the project is one of many projects in the crypto and so far, people who involve in the crypto world use bitcoin as their main investment.

This is just advertising, foolish advertising, the government generally does not have a problem with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they do have a problem every now and then but at the end of the day, all these Altcoins are not really going to get the public recognition that they think they deserve but what's gonna happen is them trying really hard and using the money on advertising, plus these adds are not really that expensive considering the country.
The government needs to put forth a sane background check before they allow such advertising for obvious reasons. Right now the government of India wants to regulate rather ban cryptocurrencies.
I don’t feel good about Floki getting advertised like this. It would only get worse to do like this as government is gonna crackdown on crypto ads like this. Only if they mentioned some disclaimers like “DYOR, only invest what you can afford to lose, etc.”, I would kinda be a bit decent and friendly letting people aware about the risks.
It would be a good idea to add things like that but I do believe that :
People are already aware about the risks I do think that background checks on the particular company and ads are much needed (but then again tobacco companies still do it so a lil Disclaimer would be nice). It's 2022 now and there are many active crypto users in India. Even if they have absolutely no idea then they would be able to investigate the moment they make an investment, I have never heard of someone who would invest without thinking or analysing the market.

I agree with the sentiments here, sooner or later when the government discovering it, maybe they will order to bring it down. And as far as I can remember, India is still in the grey area as far as crypto goes, the RBI even did order a blanket ban on all things related to crypto. So I don't know how did it passed and allow it to make this kind of advertisement around the country.
For sure government will intervene it especially if there will be a huge number of people will get scam on that or the coins which been advertise on their country and to bad this could add the negative impression of government towards cryptocurrency so best for their citizen to be more watchful on scams using the fame of crypto.

Looking for campaign manager? Contact icopress!
My bigger son is only 10 and I've already taught him he should get all ads with quite a pinch of salt.
If people didn't learn that much... as somebody already said here, they will learn from their mistakes Cheesy

It would be normal though that the govt doesn't allow ADs to pretty much scams to be displayed...

Sorry for my ignorance, but in India is the government already allowing people to use bitcoin without having any problems? because i knew parliament would pass a law that would not benefiara bitcoin, in fact it would be a law that would make people not use bitcoin anymore so how was this bitcoin situation in india?
Yeah that "Bill" did not get passed on the last session where it was supposed to be launched thanks to the politicians protesting about some other issues.

However in this context, this type of misleading ads has been one of the points raised against cryptocurrencies from the opposing parties when the disucssion was being done with the Finance Minister.

I am afraid that if this continues there might be stricter control over what cryptocurrencies finally get allowed to be traded on India's exchanges. For now they are trying to educate people about crypto, but it needs more a bitcoin-mindset and not crypto-mindset to get these young traders into the coin that they need to buy than shitcoins.

This issue is of least importance to the Indian government for a long time now.

It's direct advertisement by the project and trying to fool people by giving headlines of bitcoin and down they are promoting their own fake coin according to me as don't know this project but seems like another one on pancake swap that is offering some huge offers to the people and have nothing useful for it growth.I think there is no restrictions on such advertisement as they are not asking for government permission to paste such posters and holding on metro and city but don't get fooled by these types of projects.

I definitely don't want to see it either on other country but if they can give what they said on their website then that is good, the only thing that I don't like about this advertisement is that they used Bitcoin "Missed Bitcoin?" in their ads where in fact they are not as good as Bitcoin and they are not good as other coins they should just focus advertising what they had.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom
Missed bitcoin then get this shit is just same context of this shit is the next Bitcoin which I beleive an obvious scam. I don't get too much excitement because they simply spent money to advertise which is not even related to adoption but just an attempt to lure people to invest their savings into such coins.

I think this is the kind of advertisement that the Government needs to stop to protect their citizens. It's an indirect way of saying you would get rich or earn a lot if you buy that token early just like what happened to bitcoin.
exactly , with a  project that has no direct proof of being a Good future.

How many scams did the world of crypto has in which most of them are being supported by vast of advertising here and there?

and this seems to be misleading because that one uses the Name of bitcoin just to attract crypto investors , specially those newbie that firstly heard bitcoin but cannot afford to buy because of High value.

Floki is much into advertising once after the progress of Shiba. I'm not sure about its move, but this being into India could cause more problems. Because, people are getting better knowledge and by the time if someone have invested and ended into some scams thinking it as bitcoin. Further government will take the point in hands and once again think about restrictions. It is perfectly placed on the metro stating

Your Investment may go up as well as down in value
Cryptocurrency is not regulated in India

It's either the developers and main team have paid for those ads or there are the holders that have sponsored it. There's the catchy part of saying "missed bitcoin" LOL. That's attractive to those that are thinking it could be the next bitcoin.

This is not for bitcoin discussion, OP move your thread to altcoin discussions.

Didn't Floki Inu advertise the same way in the UK? All those advertisements were under investigation and a ban was probably placed. I don't follow Floki Inu, just read it on the news. So don't know what happened next. But yeah, those kind of advertisement does create FOMO among people. At least they are warning people that the price may rise or fall. India wanted to ban bitcoin or something. So I doubt they will let those advertisements hand around for long.

Not completely prohibited. Currently, the government only allows for investment, just like Gold, bonds. They are still planning the legal design

Does anyone know how much does it cost to post an ad like that one on the subway wagon/station's walls and on outdoors at the street in India? It's not the first time I see this kind of advertisement containing non credible cryptocurrencies, what makes me believe it's really a cheap deal to pay for this marketing in India. I just think it's a pitty so good spots like the ones showed on the pictures are being used to promote pump/dump altcoins schemes and not bitcoin, which is the currency that should be being adopted by those pedestrians walking on, instead of any shiba-inu multiple clones.
