Is Livecoin is next on the list of exchanges asking for KYC just like Tradesatoshi and Cryptobridge did?

Completely off-topic, and the answer is "no." Just because you were promoting a scam exchange it doesn't mean every exchange is a scam.

Also STEX is asking for KYC to all users.

This is the end, soon will join to the club Livecoin Crex24 and Tradeogre

Yep, look what happened to TradeSatoshi. They surprised their customers with KYC and used it as an excuse to grab as many coins as they could. Look at them now, a total disgrace of an exchange.

Yep, look what happen to Livecoin. They surprised their customer with disabling the Monero and Monacoin wallets with the excuse that they been attacked with some bug and lock customers coins, total disgrace of an exchange.

Livecoin.net Scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5159692.0;all

I fail to see what this has to do with KYC issues... The fact is exchanges that pull KYC requests on customers out of the blue and with-hold their coins for not satisfying them are scam exchanges, and nobody should be using them.

This article says that nobody knows where Livecoin is based https://www.cointelligence.com/exchanges_list/livecoin/

While claiming to be registered in the UK, after some digging, we found their actual company to be registered in Belize, and the only mention online about their claimed CEO is a rather weird article on a seemingly affiliated "blockchain news site" - and we believe the person Ivona Zlatova is not a real one, and is placeholding for the actual people who run the exchange behind the scenes.

ouch that was bad to see that alot of crypto service are now requiring a kyc but why would they require it mandatory ? i think this is so inaproriate if i were to ask  .
anyways there are still others out there that dont request for a kyc documents and they are still functional   . better if you guys move on those and not risk what you cant afford to loose such as your identity because that is more important that your funds   .

Crypto-Bridge: mandatory KYC starting 01 Oct 2019. No escape/functionality without KYC.

Would like to know if anyone was successful with KYC or whether it's a scam to get even more personal info.

If you just have a small balance, I'd say don't bother. The fact that they are asking KYC in the first place probably means that they are trying to hold onto user funds for as long as they possibly can, which means that the KYC process itself is going to be difficult most probably.

What's the point of risking your identity at an entity which has proven itself to be untrustworthy, just for a measly for bucks?

If your balance is large, then it's another story. I don't think you have a choice unless you can somehow go down the legal route, even though that would expose your identity anyhow.
Nah legal route is just really too hassle to pursue on but if the amounts are really worth to fight for then go ahead but for some few dollars then
better to move on and forget on what happened.

This is what i dont like on any service which do ask out KYC or verifications before you can able to make withdrawal or simply do put you on hold.
If big amounts are on talks then you would have no choice but you would really need to comply.

Scam KYC...ive tested alot of so called KYC exchange sites and this is a FAKE or need to find other company to do there KYC as there using fake and illegal methods.

Provided national ID and info that ive provided to 20 other site with passed kyc and idiots at fractal trying to tell me my ID isnt national Id and they want passport lol...so trying to leech more personal info they dont legally need as ive provided national ID to them.

Get run around copy/patse bot reply emails from both support channels  CB & fractal..

Another KYC scam just like tradesahitty but they scammed uses coins in different way.

Pre KYC info is legally different from when u actually get asked to KYC..thats wat KYC there for u scamming exchanges.

I read crypto-bridge.org KYC scam ! where user claiming that they have given no effective warning before implementing such thing so they are considered now as scam as of now.No one yet claimed that they scammed user funds.

Seen localbitcoin also implmenting the same KYC structure but they have given enough time before for the users to withdraw if they don't want to trade their and also the limitation is for trading not to withdraw on trusted site like lbc.

^^^  hmm, good to know man, thanks for the info
i prob won't worry about doing the KYC and just withdraw my funds, i have had this happen to exchanges before to me, and i just withdrew my funds
they might SAY you need to do the KYC, but i don't think they can legally keep your coins, they can just refuse you to trade, not withdraw
See how it goes i guess

The KYC seems genuine. Fractal is a legitimate company with software development background. I did my KYC successfully, but it took 2.5 days to get approved by Fractal. It's taking longer and longer as more people submit their documents (Fractal can process 600 people per day).

CB functionality was restored immediately by CB support staff on Discord once I figured out how to authorize the CB app on Fractal. So overall the process is working, but it's not working well. I have several objections to the way CB approached this:

1. They didn't give users any notice. This is an unacceptable business practice as your funds are suddenly held hostage unless you go through with KYC. There is no alternative. When a business unilaterally changes the terms of a relationship, they typically give you an option to leave. CB doesn't give you that option.

2. I found the CB user interface sub-standard. First of all, the note says that only US customers need to go through KYC (which is not true). There is a historical reason for this, but, really, how long would it take to update that notice? One minute? The other issue is that there is no direct link for starting KYC once you dismiss the notice. You need to log out an log back in to have this note appear again. Very sloppy UI.

3. The Fractal user interface is not very good either. At certain points, you cannot go back and change your answers because the screen scrolls away from the question in question. Smiley You need to close the website and open it again to get back to the beginning, which lets you navigate to where you want to go.

4. The Fractal KYC is overly intrusive. They will essentially only accept your passport as ID, and you will also have to send them your income tax return if you are a regular person with a job.

5. Authorizing the CB app on Fractal is extremely unintuitive. You need to do this by going to CB, and... wait for it... starting your KYC again!

So if you are not impressed by all this, or you just simply don't want to do KYC, here is how you can get around it: https://medium.com/@JimmyMcShill/bypassing-cryptobridge-kyc-a3b3cf22b0f3

It seems like bridge must comply with regulation in US or it will be shutdown like some DEX based on US just like etherdelta and etc.

Idex has already applied this regulation to avoid money laundering and comply with KYC AML regulation.

I have not yet completed KYC in cryptobridge and I have some bitcoins in my account and I ask you, when you have already completed all of verification and can you use all of the features?

Thank you for linking that article. And to answer your question, yes, after I completed KYC all the features were available to use. I have deposited and withdrawn BTC/ETH/BAT/BCH without issue after completing KYC also.

I completed the Crypto Bridge KYC through fractal.id awhile back because I use the exchange a lot and wanted to continue to do so. I knew that the time was coming to where I would have to complete KYC to continue to use the DEX, so I just did it early. I passed the fractal KYC and have been using Crypto Bridge regularly ever since. So from my expierence, nothing about Crypto Bridge asking their users to complete KYC was or is a scam. And by Crypto Bridge not handling the KYC procedure in any way indicated they didn't want users thinking they were harvesting users information like your asking about here. I believe they only wanted their United States customers to complete KYC for future compliance concerns, but I can't remember if that was the case or not.

Crypto Bridge exchange will soon die after this news.
Volume will go lower and lower, and coins more delisted.
There are other Bitshares based exchanges that will take over,
and I would like to see some new and better dex exchange also.
