Bitcoin is changing the political landscape and causing controversy in campaign finance circles. The crypto train is attracting politicians who think it will make them look tech-savvy and fashionable to younger voters Grin. They are probably also interested in the sweet donations of Bitcoin millionaires. However, it's a regulatory calamity for sure and they have no idea how to deal with it.
Blockchain enthusiasts say it will make things more transparent, but one cannot deny the fact that Bitcoin is being used to funnel dark money into elections.
Bitcoin is a great idea, but most politicians don't know how it works. Nevertheless, they're enthusiastic if it helps their political campaigns.
I think we will see more political involvement in the upcoming era of crypto. Is this benefiting or harming democracy? I don't know, but I'm certain it will intensify the election season.
