I agree with what you said. Until a person admits to himself that he has problems with gambling and wants to solve these problems, it is almost impossible to get rid of gambling addiction. Finding a solution to a problem is much easier when you clearly understand the problem and are not looking for someone to blame around you. We are the only ones to blame for our mistakes and we are the only ones capable of correcting them and never repeating them again.

When we think that there is someone who has addiction problems, it is very difficult to approach that person and tell them to seek help that they will need, because we do not know how they will take it, so what can be done here is to go to that person who has an addiction problem in a very subtle way, especially if he is a friend of ours, because it is obvious that there is treatment for this and the important thing here is that he get better, so sometimes to let them know that they Need help is quite a challenge for them to I don't react badly.
The same way OP showed the gambling universe to his friend, he can show a solution for gambling addiction. However, the final decision will be always on his friend's hands. The same way he started gambling because he wished, he will just start looking for treatment if he wishes genuinely from his heart. I don't blame OP for having introduced his friend to gambling, because he didn't force anyone into something they didn't want to do, therefore he shouldn't feel guilty for that reason. He should do only what is on his reach to help his friend, but if the friend doesn't want to, I fear there is nothing else to be done by OP.
The addiction problems I think have their solution, but it depends on the player who is in the problem to want to improve from it, it is difficult, because acceptance is difficult for many, some do not even say that they have this type of problem because it causes them shame or shame , and this is very common nowadays, people can have addictions, things in gambling and in life are like that, anyone can fall, so there are always recommendations so that the person does not fall into addiction, and one of them, Perhaps the most important is that you never pay more than what you are allowed to lose, that is a golden rule.

For someone who has been responsible enough all throughout his life and has managed to find a job and build a family, he definitely can find his way back and be whole again if he will just avoid gambling for good. He may have been tempted for a while but soon he will look back to compare his life before and after.

Unless he lacks the motivation and doesn't care about the lives of his children anymore then that would be a different story.

Just like any kind of addiction, what they need is constant support and guidance from their family and friends so that they would avoid this kind of activity ever again. In dealing with gambling addiction, the person must exhaust all of their gambling activities into different recreational ones to channel their temptations out.

Once they have acknowledged that they are indeed suffering from addiction, the next step would be relatively easy. They must also understood their priorities especially if they have their respective families that they have to support.

Overall, recovering from gambling addiction needs the support of everyone. This is not a simple task that only one person could do- it takes a whole lot of will, determination, and patience but the reward of getting through it is worth everything.

Here I really salute what OP is doing because he still wants to be responsible for a problem that actually OP shouldn't blame himself too much and take responsibility for his friend's addiction.
It's true what you said, it all depends on the intention of an addict himself whether he has the desire to recover or not because if he has a strong desire to recover then everything will be easier to overcome.
But unfortunately OP's friend has not been able to realize his mistake and wants to have the desire to recover before OP and his friend's wife start to cure gambling addiction as soon as possible.
Incidents like this are commonplace and indeed an addict will be able to realize his mistakes when he has lost more things.

If you want to help someone close to you, it should make absolutely no difference how they take it when you tell them that they need your help. We all know what uncontrolled gambling can lead to, and I'd rather fight with my friend, trying to explain to him that he has a problem and how to deal with it, than stand aside. And if I became a gambling addict to the point where it caused me and my family problems, I would want my friend to beat the crap out of me with his fists if I wasn't willing to listen to him.

Recognizing that we have a problem is always the first and the most important step, without it is impossible for anyone to solve their situation as they are in complete denial of the reality they are facing, however there are people that even if they recognize they have a problem they may be unable to leave their addiction behind, as their addiction has taken such a hold on who they are that it is impossible for them to imagine their life without their addiction.

Just like always on which people do only learn on the time that they would be experiencing up some hardships and scenarios which they havent been able to encounter or experienced before on their entire life when it

comes to situation on where they dont have anymore money to spend. When addiction do shackled you up then you are most likely on a condition on which you would really be still denying that you are addicted but the fact that you really are but still didnt consider out on having a good control with your funds. There's no one should be blamed but only yourself considering that the action you had made is something that you do
decide to do so. Blaming others would really be just making you look like a foold.

Getting out of all this can only be possible if he isn't too deep into it, most gambling addicts don't really have any realization of what's happening in their life or in the lives of their loved ones or close ones since all they basically care about is gambling and that is because they have become extremely addicted of it that they find it difficult to get out.

Someone who has a sense of realization will find a way to get out of this but for that, he will have to acknowledge that he is actually in a problem and he wants to get out of it, and after that, he might seek help and someone will surely be able to help him out of the situation.

I will share a little of my experience when I invite some friends who like to bet at local bookies.

A few months ago about 4 of my friends came to my local town house to bet on a football game and after a while they were arrested by law enforcement in my country because I live in a country where gambling is strictly prohibited and there are laws in it. They were all jailed for several days and had to pay fines to be released from prosecution.

Here I feel sorry for them if they have to deal with the law again so I teach and give them an understanding of crypto casino, after understanding I suggest using crypto casino which I believe they can use as well so they can bet on every sporting event freely and without having to afraid to face the law again.

And what concerns me is that one of them actually becomes a gambling addict in a crypto casino. It was a pity that he had lost his senses and forgot about his responsibilities as the head of the family to the point where he was more concerned with money at stake.
From that incident I felt very guilty for inviting him to bet at a crypto casino until he became an addict.

I want to ask for advice and input from members here, what should I do to deal with this friend of mine and how should I react to it because he became a crazy gambler because of my invitation.
You are not at fault OP, gambling can be enjoyed by the vast majority of us without going through any kind of trouble as we know how to control ourselves, your friend was either already addicted to gambling or they had those tendencies withing them already, and about what to do to help your friend, you could try to talk to him, but if he is really addicted to gambling he will probably not listen and you will have to wait until they realize their life has taken a wrong turn and they have the desire to change their ways.

Gambling is not the only thing that destroys a man, I will like you to take note of this, gambling is just one amongst many, this is why in our society today, you still find responsible men, who do not gamble, but still struggle to live and feed well with his family,  there are so many challenges in life, we face and tackle them every day.

But like you said, the medicine is to always stay hopeful, have faith and never give up, winners are overcomers, and overcomers are those who kept going and never lost  hope.

He needs someone that will tell his situation in a frank way and how it is affecting his family.
Because if he is not yet realizing what he had been doing, someone should have the courage to tell it on his face.
The OP just wanted his friends to get out of trouble, hence, introducing the crypto casinos.
But unfortunately, one of them got addicted. I guess, that friend needs serious help before it is too late or before his family finally leave him.

In dealing with cases like this, the approach to the family is very important, moreover the encouragement from the family to be able to provide encouragement and understanding to change is the most important thing to be able to change someone from their bad habits, including gambling addicts.
But if I understand cases of gambling addiction, it is indeed very difficult to cure and only certain people can completely recover from gambling addiction.
I myself am not sure that a friend of OP can recover completely, maybe he can stop gambling for a while but there is still a possibility that in the future he will return to gambling again.
It's only easy to say but it is actually hard to do because when we are dealing with gambling, we try to make it a secret to the people around us. We are ashamed if we are addicted already or we are scared to be judged and hated if we are only getting started.

We can go to the psychiatrist on our own or the other people who are expert about this matter if online solutions and advices doesn't seem to help. The difficulty to be cured will depend on the severeness of those who experienced it. This is why it's better to treat our conditions as early as possible or once you start feeling the signs of being an addicted gambler so that you can recover easily.
But the case told by OP is different, friend. He said that his friend almost didn't care about his wife and child's family because of gambling addiction and also OP and his friend's wife had taken him to a psychologist so that in this case it was clear that the family already knew about it and wanted to try to stopping the gambling addiction that he had experienced so that it was very easy to provide support from his family.
Yes, of course he can go to a psychologist himself to ask for advice, but this can be done if he himself has the intention to change and in fact does not, so it is the OP and the family concerned who are trying to stop this.

First, you must not blame yourself for your friend who became an addict, that you invited him into crypto gambling does not necessarily mean that it is your fault he became a gambling addict, understand that if you hadn't invited him, and destiny already designed it that he would gamble with crypto someday, he still would have found his way into crypto gambling somehow, and will still become addicted.

All you can do right now as a friend is advice him to stop gambling and seek help, let him find something interesting to engage himself with, something that can take his mind off gambling most of the time, tell him the negative things that happened to most gambling addicts you've heard off, and remind him that same could happen to him if he continued with gambling, this can gradually install fear in his heart and course him to begin to rethink he's kind of hunger for gambling.

I will try to take him to a psychologist and give him more understanding in the hope that some time in the future he will be able to reduce his gambling addiction a little and be able to stop gambling in the future.
I don't know if this method works or not but I will try my best to get my friend's normal life back.
All this time guilt has plagued my mind and I have tried hard to give some of my cares and responsibilities as a friend.

Thank you friends for giving some delivery and I hope what I hope for can actually be achieved.

It's a good idea, but the benefits won't be so immediate. I mean, an addict needs a process in healing. everyone has a different case. So, the recovery method will be different. also, this all depends on your friends. plus, the role of the family is a very important support.
IMO, the most crucial thing is determination and intention. well, maybe you can give encouragement to build strong determination and intention to recover from addiction. at the very least, it will relieve you a bit of guilt and maybe regret. for the rest, let the process do the talking.

anyway, I used to be an addict, you could even say I'm still an addict. but, it doesn't matter to me. Most importantly for now, I gamble for entertainment and fun, nothing more. as long as it stays in the right corridor, coupled with responsibility, everything is fine. the important point, we play just for fun with money ready to lose. and most importantly, as long as it doesn't harm our closest people let alone family, just enjoy it.

İt was not your fault, it is just friend's responsibility to stop or continue online gambling. If he is going crazy with b2b deposits and can't stop himself then as friend you are supposed to tell him stop being addict before he loses everything. Explain addiction in gambling and invite him to take rehabilitation since it looks like best option atm. Once you don't offer your help it is your fault after he loses everything but you have to warn him to stop while he can. Gambling emotionally and not being responsible gambler will have some consequences that can lead to destroyed life standarts that you never want friends face such pity situation.
At least, as a friend, we can accompany him while he is gambling and pull him out of gambling before it's too late and he has lost his money. Even if he doesn't want to listen to our advice, we should try it because he is our friend. We should not give up if he doesn't want to follow our advice because we care about his life and don't want his life to be ruined because of gambling. That is what we can do to help him quit gambling and he can cure his gambling addiction.

Well, I'm not sure if I have the answer to your question. Instead, take a persuasive approach. the rest, you can take it to the experts. next time, if you want to provide knowledge or as you tell in this thread. You also have to provide insight into the bad effects, especially if your friend has no self-control.

successful or not it depends on the wishes of your friend. if you take your friend to a psychologist but he has no intention of getting better, I think it will be in vain.
because psychologists will only help your friend to be even more enthusiastic to be even better to avoid gambling. and I think a strong push that can make your friend change for the better is usually the closest person he loves, like his wife or girlfriend.
I've taken him to a psychologist and haven't seen any results yet, but he's starting to have an approach with his family again so he doesn't hold his cell phone too often to play or gamble.
For now he has also made an agreement with his wife that all the finances that are responsible for holding and managing are his wife.
Maybe this could be a good start if he really wants to change and recover from gambling addiction as he has said.
This is where I started to be a little calmer and happier because of his intention to change after returning home from the psychologist, I don't know what the psychologist did but he already had a good start.
that's good! and you don't forget to tell his family to keep your friends away from the gambling environment. provide a daily approach to provide calm for positive thinking.
don't let your friends use the cellphone for a while because various gambling advertisements may appear on the cellphone screen.

I hope your friend recovers soon and you should also try to help your friend.

I think I have a different opinion in his matter, I'd rather to stay away and cut all the relation with my friends if he's an addict.

If my friend doesn't hear and want to change after I gave an advice, it's mean they're don't have any intention to change and they will ruin my life in the future. Remember, your journey is depends on your close friend, do you want to become an addict or always convince them to stop gambling? it will takes a lot time and money, I don't want to wasting my time.
You can do that with your friends but not for them because they may try to approach you because they want to stay friends with you.

Everyone has their own decisions and there is no need to depend on close friends because we are responsible for our own lives. If our friends give us their best advice, we should listen to it as an option to decide. And even if we don't follow his advice, we can at least consider it or apply some of it.

because psychologists will only help your friend to be even more enthusiastic to be even better to avoid gambling. and I think a strong push that can make your friend change for the better is usually the closest person he loves, like his wife or girlfriend.
That's right, friend, success in self-change against addiction can only happen if there is intention and effort that is done by himself because no matter how hard the efforts are made by others, if an addict does not have the intention and willingness to change it, it will only be in vain. drain.
The encouragement of family and loved ones can also be a factor in the success of this change because a person can change his mindset and behavior when there is encouragement from people around him who love him.
But unfortunately, only a few people or families want to care about someone who has become a gambling addict.

Well, I'm not sure if I have the answer to your question. Instead, take a persuasive approach. the rest, you can take it to the experts. next time, if you want to provide knowledge or as you tell in this thread. You also have to provide insight into the bad effects, especially if your friend has no self-control.

Thank you friends for giving some delivery and I hope what I hope for can actually be achieved.

how should I react to it because he became a crazy gambler because of my invitation.
If you have given some reminders already, the best way to react on this is nothing. Yes, you can't do that much anymore with that guy if he's on that path of loosing himself with gambling.

You are the one who invited him to gamble but didn't you gave him some reminders that he still need to be careful or else worse case scenario might hit him?

If yes, don't need to stress yourself with that but if not then that's really gonna hit your mind that you're feeling that you should be the one to be blamed.

First off, let me just say that, teaching people how to gamble is not going to be the best thing you could impart them, I suppose they had an intervention with them getting caught and incarcerated for a couple days but you kind of double downed on the problem by teaching them how to gamble without getting caught. Still, I think you've heard of this enough so I'll save the lectures for later.

At this point there's really little to no control we can make that will help sway your friend from stopping to gamble, he found a way to do so without problems and with so much convenience, he succumbed to the pressures, so unless he sees how he's gone so far, there's nothing much you can do. It's all personal discovery from this point onwwards.

Sad to hear that you brought someone in the wrong direction but my take on this situation is that - you don't need to blame yourself as it was not your responsibility anymore. Perhaps, that person is old enough already to know what is right and what is wrong, and indeed he knows what exactly happens to him. Honestly, this person got tempted to win more after winning on the first try. He'll think that he could win more if he increases his bets and very unfortunate that after chasing such a chance, he ended up in addiction.

That's definitely going to be a problem with his personality, knowing that your friend is an addict and you have enabled him to do it without any consequences. I hope that, as his friend, you would be able to make sure that he is being responsible. If you have his account name or something, let the casino site know that he is a problematic gambler and needs restriction on time spent.
it seems the casino will never care about OP's friend even if he has to be an addict, because that would benefit the casino, after all it's strange to ask the casino to monitor or warn certain usernames to play responsibly because that's not how the casino system works

we know that casinos can get big money from gambling addicts compared to ordinary gamblers who are looking for fun with small bets and wasting time there, sadly OP is not entirely guilty of introducing casinos using crypto but before OP introduced it his friends were used to gambling so it became Gambling addicts are not completely OP's fault because it is the nature of each person that cannot be controlled by other people. i think the OP should just keep giving his friend advice slowly one day he will definitely hear it too.

OP knows that gambling is illegal in his country but he still insists to encourage his friend to gamble. Why will he be guilty when I think he intends it to happen? Maybe he have a hidden hate with those people and wants them to be in trouble indirectly. Hate to say this but it was also his friends' fault on why they didn't ask some questions or do their research about the status of gambling in their country.

Another mistake is like you said, about getting addicted but this one can be easily be avoided if we have a common sense and if we have a control of our selves. All he can do for now is like you said to help his friend in terms of financial if he is really guilty.
In short you're saying @OP is a bad person Tongue

I think if the country is ban gambling, I think it should be introduced everywhere and they should be know it, like a country which prohibit drug usage even it's used for medical purpose, so I will not really blame @OP here.

Well helping his friend in terms of financial is useless because if his friend is still an addict, I'm sure @OP will go rekt.

I want to ask for advice and input from members here, what should I do to deal with this friend of mine and how should I react to it because he became a crazy gambler because of my invitation.
Telling him to quit is soft and won't move him from his addiction. Continuous reminders about telling him that he has to look around and that the effects of his addiction on his family are certainly worrying. It's no longer a healthy thing and that's why he needed to think of his activities since it's becoming harmful not just to him but also to his family. This shouldn't be a problem for him if he's moderating it but right now, he needs to moderate it. He can't be in whole stop, this just can't happen from someone who's addicted to gambling, it needs some process and moderation because a gradual process needs to happen.
Unless he feels something is wrong with him and he immediately asks @OP for help, @OP has to help him out of his gambling problem.
But we know that most gamblers will not realize they have a gambling addiction but refuse to tell the truth.
Maybe what @OP can do is tell his friend to reduce the amount of time and money he spends on gambling so he can slowly overcome his gambling addiction problem.
His friend must learn to control himself when gambling and limit the money for gambling.
Maybe it's hard for his friend but worth it because it will help him escape his gambling addiction.
An addicted gambler won't feel that there's something wrong and I feel the sense of urgency of what OP has stated because he feels guilty of what happened to his friend and he's got the influence before it happens.
The continuous conversation to his friend will keep him reminded that there's an actual wrong thing that's happening to him because he can't notice it. At least with that reminder, OP will feel that he's able to fill the guilt that he's feeling of what turned his friend right now.
Maybe @OP needs to help his friend get out of gambling and can get his friend to do something else that has nothing to do with gambling, numbers or chance.
It is important to reject thoughts of gambling and try to help a friend who is addicted to gambling.
But it is true what you say that a gambler will not feel addicted to gambling and feel that he can still anticipate it.
Only we, the people who see his activities, can judge him and immediately help him get out of gambling before it's too late.

I understand your feeling of guilt as you are the one who introduced them to the game and now you are seeing destroy themselves and his surrounding. Actually it is really a risk to invite someone in gambling as there's really a high chance that the user will get addicted to it and I think that was one of the thing you have missed, maybe you could encourage your friend to seek a therapy and you're going to pay for it to clear your guilt but if he refused then I think it is not your problem anymore.

Since they have experienced being jailed, they should have taken a lesson from it. It is important that we'll know the gambling regulations in each country so we will not experience trouble. Regarding his gambling addiction, it is not your responsibility anymore but as a friend, you must still put an effort to convince him to know his limitations. Even if he doesn't follow your advice, at least you have done your part to remind him of the risks.
That's probably the most that he can do at this point, considering his friend has already become an addict and definitely needs help to get out of that, whatever has happened to him is obviously not because of OP but he was only trying to be of help since they were facing difficulties to gamble and he thought he would suggest him something that might be useful for them.

Little he knew that one of them will soon start ruining their life only because they are now able to gamble without any limits or threats from the authorities, now it's their own responsibility to get out of it and if one helps them they should be thankful.

IMO, no one is to be blamed for what happened to one of your friends. why, because your friend should be responsible for himself.  in fact, he should have control over his gambling, especially if he already has a family. as an adult man, he is very aware of what he is doing related to this one hobby. The problem of addiction can come from anywhere. it's just that, in this case, you are the bridge that provides knowledge and insight regarding crypto casinos.

In this case, I don't know how close you are to your friend, and how far you give an understanding of cause and effect.  moreover, if your friend has no responsibility. From the start, you should first provide an understanding of gambling. I mean, the bad effects of excessive activity. you have to give him understanding and insight regarding betting. that gambling is not a way to make money instantly. but rather, looking for entertainment. if you win, consider it a bonus of the nice things.

Well, I'm not sure if I have the answer to your question.

The question here is, How does the police department know that they place bets, I feel like they send a big amount of money from the casino to their bank accounts and that was what triggered the alarms. Or maybe they post it in their social networks. I don't know, but he should have a lower profile to avoid this.
The local bookmaker has become the target of the police department and the police are waiting for betting activities to take place inside the bookie's house so that when making an arrest the police have sufficient evidence and several witnesses or other suspects who also take a fair share in the gambling activity.
I don't know what was done to the dealer, but some of the suspects who were caught could be released by paying a fine in exchange for the legal release that was carried out.
This seems unreasonable, but in my country it has become common sense that a suspect with a prison sentence can go free after paying a fine.

-snip-

Your story doesn't make sense? Where did they even do this gambling if it was banned throughout your country? Did they come from another region or country? What happened to the place that allowed them to place the bets or how did the police trace them? You are not responsible for their actions when it comes to online gambling. They would have stumbled across it one way or another, besides that - most countries that are strict on gambling are also pretty strict on cryptocurrency because of the reason you describe. If someone is a gambler to that level, they need to  hit rock bottom and accept it before they will be able to rid themselves of the habit. It's possible to go "cold turkey" on it, but requires real willpower and the ability to let go of previous losses.
Bookmakers use their houses as places to carry out betting activities and operate illegally so even though the country prohibits gambling there are still many local bookmakers offering bets to some gamblers.
If you ask how to trace it, we don't need to think about it anymore because the police definitely have a lot of informants and spies running around to find every illegal action.
Maybe you can ask this because you don't live in my country and also never felt what I experienced about this problem.

It's a bit of guilt on your part that you have put your friend in a situation. First in prison and then now he is in his worse addiction. But its true what he said about hitting rock bottom will always make a person rethink what he is doing in his life.

Its the time a person will really have to reassess and find himself again when he has nothing to bet on games anymore. It can only be good if he is winning all the time but if he is not good at it then its time to stop.

I know your conscience is after you, but first of all, it is his choice and he is already aware of it, so stop blaming yourself, but because we are good people, it is best to help him, like try to invite them or him back to your town again, but rather than gambling, do something else for a week, yes, a week, because by that time he can forget about gambling, and you should talk about the risk or scary stories about gambling addicts so that he would be awake, but if he is really uncontrollable, it is better to ask for help from experts.

I don't know why law enforcement agencies arrest  gamblers because I didn't see any offence in the gambling process. And if government want to remove gambling from the State system then the government should provide jobs for those guys because many of them are playing gamble because there is no any other thing to do to sustain their life in the family, do they use this gambling to feed and pay bills.
The addiction didn't come from your invitation but it was inbuilt of the guy. Addiction never comes from the outside but always from the inside which the heart. So don't blame yourself of his down fall.

I feel sorry about that and know that feeling guilty is very unpleasant and can damage our mentality, immediately wake him up, you can bring him to an expert if that's possible in your place but if he refuses then it's best to tell his family so he can get help from his family, and taking him to an expert to have a counseling session so he can get rid of addiction is the only way for your friend to get out of addiction, but actually without intention from yourself your friend will find it difficult to stop gambling because all the bad activities that we want to stop have to get out of the person's intentions weren't just those of the closest associates.

Even though it looked like it wouldn't be easy, he still had to try because it was his responsibility as a good friend. After all, he also didn't want to see his friend get too deep into gambling, so he had to try to help him get out of his gambling addiction problem. Maybe limiting the use of cellphones or PCs or those who have access to gambling is the thing that needs to be done and inviting him to do physical activity that can prevent him from thinking about gambling. It seems that his gambling addiction has entered his subconscious brain so he has become very fond of gambling.
If we discuss ways to minimize someone from being addicted to gambling, it's easy, but to stop someone who is already a gambling addict, it will be more difficult because you can't just say a word, but you have to take firm action, and not just anyone can take an action to stop an activity. bad thing done by a gambling addict.
Gambling is something that can damage the way the human brain works when it becomes addicted because if gambling addicts don't play gambling for a certain time they will have quite high emotions and anxiety.
But no matter how difficult it is, if it is based on noble goals and sincere intentions so that someone can leave bad activities, then you can be sure that one day you will get ease and success.
From this case we can conclude that bringing someone into gambling is not the right choice if the person cannot control himself.

The excitement from each game can be feel by the experience of betting. The offline betting is all the time my favourite one, even though betting is purely prohibited in my country. You should choose the location untraceable one from the police. Mostly the old hidden places or old industrial areas building are used for this offline betting. Actually you was not aware of being captured, So you was played with out fear. The country which prohibits the gambling surely trace the gambling activities in their country. So it’s essential one for the offline gamblers choose the place for it. When you feel the excitement most probably you will become an gambling addict for sure.

Gambling addiction damages your story. Gambling should be fun, but addiction is bad. Your educated friend showed your group a safer technique, but your friend still got addicted.

Addiction requires skilled treatment. As their buddy, you can love and listen to them, but they must receive help and face the music. It's serious, and you're right to worry about your friend's safety. My advice? Help them get better and support them.

If gambling is strictly illegal in your country, I'd say it's a positive outcome that your friends were only detained for a few days and then paid fines. Of course, I don't believe it's the right legislative approach of a country to ban gambling instead of regulating it and enjoying profits, but it could've been worse.

I don't think it's your fault, though, op, that your friend became an addict. You couldn't have known, and addiction is something that a minority of gamblers suffers from.
You should urge your friend to realize the issue and switch to something less harmful (playing a computer game, perhaps, or gambling with toy money in a 'for fun' mode only?) and give custody over his money to a very trusted individual (a family member, perhaps) in the meantime.

I want to ask for advice and input from members here, what should I do to deal with this friend of mine and how should I react to it because he became a crazy gambler because of my invitation.

I don't fully understand your story, your 4 friends placed bets at a local bookmaker but gambling is prohibited in your country? Does this mean it was an illegal gambling casino or bookmaker? If that's the case I think police is mostly interested in the criminals operating the illegal casino, so if your friends provide information for the police maybe they can get rid of the fine. In general I would be careful with friends that engage in illegal activities. Nothing wrong with gambling, but if its banned in your country you should think about making a trip to another country to gamble. Don't feel responsible for the actions of your friends.
Yes, my country prohibits gambling and indeed gambling activities are illegal activities in my country and even has a law on gambling, it's just that some bookies are still determined to do it because the profits are quite large and they can pay taxes for their own guarantees.
If you say a casino is not actually a casino because the local bookie only provides sports betting.

That's why I advise them to play at crypto casinos because my country prohibits gambling and I don't want my friends to have to deal with the law again.

I want to ask for advice and input from members here, what should I do to deal with this friend of mine and how should I react to it because he became a crazy gambler because of my invitation.
You are really blaming yourself for this?
I mean, yes, you suggested an alternative for them to continue their hobby but that doesn't mean you pushed them to being gambling addicts now.
First of all, I do believe they are already gambling addicts from the beginning. Why would they even visit your place just to put a bet? Have you thought about that? That must mean they are already in trouble in their previous place and they want to continue what they are doing in another place.
They are already into gambling before you even suggested online casinos to them.
But, you could always tell them to keep it at a responsible amount of betting. You cannot stop them, just provide some details on how they can control it.
Stake.com has a responsible gambling feature. Try that.

Previously they did not become gambling addicts because they bet only when there was a sports match and even then they only did it when their favorite team was playing.
What concerns me is not whether my friend is an addict or not, but that he really forgets his family and lets go of his responsibilities as the head of the family.

I understand your feeling of guilt as you are the one who introduced them to the game and now you are seeing destroy themselves and his surrounding. Actually it is really a risk to invite someone in gambling as there's really a high chance that the user will get addicted to it and I think that was one of the thing you have missed, maybe you could encourage your friend to seek a therapy and you're going to pay for it to clear your guilt but if he refused then I think it is not your problem anymore.

first of all it is not important for me to teach anyone about gambling while your country is against gambling but you have your own right to teach crypto casino to anyone but remember everything is a risk when things get bad when your friends become addicted.
you really have wronged yourself. because your friend is now addicted and even worse after being free to gamble anywhere without the knowledge of the authorities.
but if that has happened, you don't need to regret it and make it a lesson not to give gambling advice to anyone.

if your friend's gambling addiction is too severe, you can help him come to a psychologist to treat your friend.

This should be a lesson. Not because you do want to help, you'd already provide the help; think of the consequences. It is never advisable to support an individual in gambling because of the risks involved. But no matter what, and if the cited situation is true, be a friend to him. Help him morally to regain atleast his mental state. Also, try to accompany him with other activity not involving risk and money such as sports and the likes to somehow calibrate his drive to gamble. Also, do not blame yourself for everything because that's his decision in the first place. It is solely dependent with the gambler on how would he end up after playing; broke, victorious, or just fine.  Lastly, seek for professional help becaause addiction is not something to be cured in an instant and with ease.
It's not recommended to help someone in gambling, but I do it because I'm sorry if some of my friends have to deal with the law again, especially if they end up in jail.
My intention is actually good so that they don't get into trouble when betting, but what makes me disappointed is that some people really become addicts.
Actually this is my friend's fault because I can't control myself but he knows crypto casinos from me so I feel guilty.
So far I have advised him and given the view that gambling addiction will bring him to ruin but he still remains an addicted gambler.

I will say also that it is not his fault. Like in my country or my area if I should be specific, anyone can be exposed to gambling at anytime and it is common among friends. Because a friend knows gambling through me and he is addicted, I will kind of feel guilty because I care, unless I do not care is when I will not feel like anything is happening.

If it is me, I will not give up to continuing advising him and make him realize how gambling can not be helpful but distractive if there is addiction.
That's right, my friend, just like you, feels guilty because there is concern and affection for friends who will lose their families because of gambling.
I also never get tired or give up advising and guiding him to a better path because I believe that one day he will be able to recover from his gambling addiction and become a normal person.

This is the reason why I don't want to introduce online gambling to other people. They could get addicted and blame me for their addiction.
The only way to solve this would be to talk with the friends and family of your addicted friend. I know it's hard, but there's no other way around. Telling him to stop gambling won't change anything. The second option is to just wait until your friend ruins his life completely. Maybe then, he will realize that he needs help(after everything is ruined). That's a pretty negative approach, but it might work.

You can try to approach him and provide an understanding so that you don't play crypto gambling too often and invite him to do other activities that have nothing to do with gambling. But it's not easy because he has turned into a gambling addict and by using crypto, he can gamble easily.

You must use all means to be able to return him to his family and can help him cure his gambling addiction. Even though it's hard, you can still try it and direct him to invest in crypto instead of gambling.
It seems that it won't be easy, friend, because OP has given his previous response that he has done everything he can to stop his friend's gambling addiction, but it's all in vain.
If I look at it again, it would be better to limit technology such as cellphones or PCs for a while so that I can not access gambling sites all the time, so that over time I can forget about gambling and choose activities that are more fun.
I'm not sure whether the understanding or advice for gambling addicts will work because addiction is an action that has influenced the brain to continue doing it even though it is a bad action.
Yes, I hope the OP doesn't give up and can return things to normal.

Local bookmakers are quite capable of offering cryptos, as little regulation is needed for this to succeed. You just don't know exactly where your money is with Crypto, that's a disadvantage. But nowadays there are also large bookmakers who also offer crypto extra to be able to play. But is it wise to gamble with a crypto bookmaker that does not have a license and also has no company information on the site at all? Crypto gambling is becoming increasingly popular, that is one thing that is certain. Many gamblers love the anonymity of course.
Maybe you should read the OP again, because what your post is all about is different from the question he asked. He asked about addiction of his friend and how he was the one that introduced him to gambling. They already know what to do to avoid issues, but his friend is a an addict to gambling is the problem.

In my country, all local bookmakers and casinos are offering fiat, it is on this forum that I see gambling sites that offer crypto deposit and withdraw.

If you called them again and they defiantly response your call. I believe those gamblers come back to you. Because they will think you must have called them again to discuss some betting matter. A gambler will definitely run away if there is a betting related issue. In may sense you actually better inform them about the addiction first. What is the purpose of gambling and how gambler can survive in gambling for a long time. And awareness should be raised on some issues. You can aware them about the law. You can try to bring them under control by discussing these issues.

I think that since they liked to bet on local bookies, they were already addicted but addiction was not there yet because they had to find ways to gamble as gambling was strictly prohibited by government and they even went to jail for some days before they were released. You should not feel guilty at all as you told them a new way of playing without fear in the pseudo anonymous crypto casinos that most governments can't really track as it would drain them a lot of money and resources to do so,so you did a good deed for them and you should be proud of that.

It is not your fault that one becomes addicted, anyone is responsible for their own actions at the end of the day,so nothing to fear, they were already avid gamblers before your invitation anyway.

That's why I never invite people closest to me to get to know crypto casinos for fear that this will happen, but if you have already invited your friends and are now addicts it's not entirely your fault because basically you just introduce them to him, the rest he controls it, make this experience so you don't make this mistake again in the future because we don't know someone's character in gambling.

If your friend is more concerned with the money that has been risked and the money that has been lost than his family, it is clear that he has become a heavy addict, I can't help much, it's just that a person like this usually stops on his own when he loses everything, but if you feel sorry for him and want to stop it before he loses everything better find someone close who can advise him to stop for example the people he loves the most in his life like his parents or whoever it is. if it doesn't work, there are also many ways on the internet that you might try or suggestions from other friends in this thread  Wink

That is already his personal choice. If he has been gambling for a long time, he should know that crypto casino has the same risks as physical casinos. If you have warned or reminded him about responsible gambling then you shouldn't feel guilty. You can continuously remind him about controlling his compulsive gambling since you're friends but his choices and decisions will rely on the risks that he could take. This is actually the consequence of introducing gambling to people who are close to us because when they fall for gambling addiction, you might feel guilty.

I have given a lot of advice and always provide an understanding if betting is just for fun and don't forget the obligations.
In fact, I always invite him to travel so he forgets about the gambling he is doing but it's all in vain, nothing changes at all, instead he always holds his cell phone all the time just to be able to bet.

Sorry I can't answer all the suggestions and input that is available and thanks for providing clarity or input on my problem.

I guess you don't need to feel guilty or what, yeah you show them how to gamble online, but it's totally out of your control on how they are going to gamble. Unfortunately many of us become addicted to, maybe there are individuals here who got out of their addiction because someone help him or it is ourselves who says that we need to stop gambling already.

And even if says that he should stop gambling, then how will you know that he will listen to you?

Maybe you can talk him out of quitting or at least lessen his gambling, but that is the only thing that you can do.

Of course you are the mastermind of all that, you must be responsible for your actions to those who overdosed on gambling addiction, supposedly, after being redeemed from arrest, you don't introduce them to online crypto casinos anymore, rice has turned to mush, what can I say, it can't be other than a rehabilitation method for one of your friends.

One of the ways you can do this is: put your friends into gambling rehabilitation, that way you can make amends, to those who were deeply involved in online crypto gambling, they don't want to hear your advice on excessive addiction, rehabilitation is the last solution.

It's not simple as that, I think the @OP already did that, but what you can expect from an addict? they weren't listen to their parents or wife, @OP is just a friend and it's impossible they will listed to @OP.

I think the @OP friends are somewhat have a bad personality because they ever got jailed, a good people will not get jailed since they're obey the rules in their country. @OP need to seek a help from professional to solve this case.

Would you blame yourself if you introduced a new bar to a casual drinker and that person frequently visited the place where he eventually became a real alcoholic? If your answer to the question is NO then I think you shouldn't put the burden on yourself when that friend of yours became a gambling addict. The only instance that I think you should also take the blame is if you forced him or hyped him too much without giving him any warning.

If I understand from what you have said it does not seem entirely your fault.
You are just a friend of theirs and feel sorry if they have to deal with the law just because of gambling until you decide to introduce crypto casinos to them to be safer and in the future not to be in trouble with the law again.
It is better to suggest to your friend who is already addicted to think more clearly and limit his gambling so that there is no destruction in his family.
It would be a shame if the unity and harmony of the family were destroyed just because of gambling addiction.

Give your friend motivation, friend and advise slowly so he can think that his actions are a big mistake, don't forget to keep an eye on him so he doesn't fall deeper into gambling.

Don't feel guilty about it if it is really not your intention to make him addictive to it, you just invite him to play to entertain and no one wanted that to happen. As a friend what you can do is to talk him and his family and probably knock the sense out of him. Actually that's up into him if he really wanted to change for the sake of his family because after all even if you do all of the possible things to help him and he can't help himself or trying to help himself, you are just wasting time.

Just tell him your mind and tell him to quit gambling. Let him know that addcits are not adviced to reduce the amount of money they are gambling with, that addicts should stop gambling and go for self exclusion.

You know more than him about gambling is the truth, you can get some news about what ended the life of some addicts and how chasing money with gambling will only lead to depression, thievery or illegal acts. If trustworthy, tell him how you trust him, but that you are just saying how gambling addiction is not good at all.
