Experiencing a huge lose from relying someone else can also teach them a lesson and make them curse those kind of services resulting for them to study on their own. You ask why on discord? But why not? Discord is in fact more rich in terms of features than in telegram and facebook groups/messenger.
I think learning experience from other users is also valuable. You don't have to get scammed to know that a scam is a scam. There's no harm telling people that a signal group is mostly just a scam either. I think the platform doesn't really matter as long as it can provide some notifications, since that's what OP is looking for. Personally lurking in this forum is the best choice if you're trying to learn or read about tech, history, and stuff like that. Discord, Telegram, Reddit communities are mostly created to chase new coins or share trading analysis, which can be misleading if you don't know anything about it.

What about the notification on the app itself? Is it not functioning well? Maybe you can play around with the settings in your phone and prioritize discord notifications. In my experience, the notification in discord or any other messaging app are much faster or more noticeable than the notification that we get in the email app.

If you are new in this signal using then best to not rely in all of their sharing because only few that will bring reliable and majority are just a pump and dump.

and why only in discord? there are lots of groups such as Telegram and facebook groups that you can at least check and find new .

but remember that never invest higher than you can afford to lose because they are not truly profitable .
The op might be new but that is the reason on why he rely on these signals but once he gain some experience then I think he will also exert an effort and work on his own. Experiencing a huge lose from relying someone else can also teach them a lesson and make them curse those kind of services resulting for them to study on their own. You ask why on discord? Hi, what are your favorite crypto communities on Discord ... is there any way to get notifications to email address when discord server admins share crypto signals?
The name of the IM network does not matter, signal groups all run in the same manner.

And it is not needed either. Just use you common sense, if such groups actually run signals that were true, then everyone taking part in them would have become billionaires in a few hours. Instead the members get sucked off their money while the owner makes the money because the owners pump their own tokens and dump on their bamboozled investors.

This confusion is the basis of how they work and you will realize it too late. If you legitimately want to trade to make money, do your own research on the assets and then buy.

I think joining discord crypto communities is fine long as you aren't purposely joining shady servers like anything that has to do with signals. I myself have joined the discord servers of some projects/service I'm following. Yes, scam DMs are rampant but there's an option to block DMs from non-friends which for the most part does the trick.

If you happen to find a better community and want to get notified of announcements and anything similar. Ask the admins if they could do @everyone every time or better yet, setup optional roles to ping using well known bots like probot, carl bot, etc. Depending on their setup, you could also try getting pinged for every messages in a single channel (e.g. #thisisachannel) by right clicking the said channel > notification settings > all messages.

Don't trust too much about signal groups, it's very risky to lose your money. if you follow it without any technical analysis beforehand that you have mastered ... then be careful, the decision about your financial investment is in your own hands..

I join only groups which I have interest on the projects promoted and when I think they are promising. Mostly blockchain games, so I can report bugs, ask questions and hints about the game.

Regards pump and dump groups I don't think they are worthful. You are probably going to be bombarded with tons of useless spam posts all day long. Besides bots accounts which will spot your nickname and send you a lot of useless or scam direct messages.

I believe meaningful informations don't come to you, but you have to go after them. That is, you are better to search for informations and news on google, instead of waiting they come to you through discord groups and DMs.

I have no favorite community there but when it's my trip to join, I'm joining one since I've made up an account there but barely active. And usually, when the bot or any of the admins have welcomed and mentions you on the chat, it will notify you through your registered email there. So, that means that it's an automated notification for you every time that they include you to their post. I don't know the other features yet since I barely use it but that's one of my experience and have observed it for a long time.
To give you an idea about signals, there could really be a lot of people that are interested on it. But in reality, it's not worth it when you're already part of it in a long time and much worse if they'll ask you to pay for subscription or just to not be kicked out of the group.

I don't really like using discord, I'm just a telegram user because of my habit as a telegram user.
But as far as I know if you want to get notifications via email you need to set up discord notifications, notifications directly to your device will be better than having to email.
and signal channels like this are also widely available on telegram. But will you believe me so? those who play with you and use you to buy the selected coins and without your consent they start selling them and make a lot of profit. The practice of pump and dump is already quite popular and many have been harmed.

I would not recommend you to join any cryptocurrency group of Discord server, because the reasons people have already mentioned here.
On the other hand, there are legitimate projects whose programmers and creators like to communicate with end users through Discord and Telegram, in these cases it is okey if you join, just be careful because in those groups there are a lot of scammers trying to deceive anyone to hand over Bitcoin, Eth or Bnb seeds or even try to spread viruses around.

Avoid pump and dumps or signal groups, I am pretty sure all of them are just scams being carry on by group admins to pocket some money.

Good luck.

You can not get rich by relying on signals from others. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but because you are dependent on others, you likely have bad risk and capital management too. Therefore, your net loss should be bigger than your net win.

You can change your settings to get pop-up notifications on your computers or mobile devices. However, I don't recommend to do this because it is very annoying and you will not be able to focus on your work.

User settings > Notifications > Enable desktop Notifications.

Then you will see their guides:
Quote
If you are looking for per-channel or per-server notifications, right-click the desired server icon and select Notification settings.
Close that page, and right-click one server icon, you will see different options to get notifications from that server.

You know what's not efficient? The "signals" themselves. Because 99.9% of the time, these "signals" are announced just to profit off you people by frontrunning you with the buys and sells.

What @sheenshane should help in general notifs for Discord, I think anything outside of that would require a third-party bot that you can employ or custom make one.

If you also want to employ it on your own discord server (as a collection of different servers into one channel so that you don't have to visit them all), it would only work if the so-called "signals" channels of discord were an announcement channel, where you can follow it on your own discord server whenever someone publishes something. You can read more here:
https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032008192-Announcement-Channels-

As for joining one, Discord has mainly been for enjoyment for me, joining various communities that I participate in, crypto isn't included in one of them.

Sorry, I don't have any to recommend because I considered that platform one of those scammers and spammer's houses like Telegram.

That's an additional workload, there might a bot that works for this or a notification might be enough.

I come across a few, and stuck around for a few, but I have to say outside of the bitcointalk collectibles discord groups (we have a couple of them on discord) all of the other cryptocurrency discord groups I've joined /check out are about an equal cesspool of shit as twitter is.  It's very hard to get legitimate information and hold good conversation.

I'm not saying you can't find good ones, just be careful and please do share if you find good ones out there...I've yet to find any!

Hi, what are your favorite crypto communities on Discord ...
I don't have any because they have been infested with spammers and scammers sliding into your private messages.

Try looking into Discord's settings.

You'll probably need tools like some bots to track those messages so you could be more efficient with your signal-chasing strategy since it's all about speed.

I don't recommend it but it's your money so goodluck.

Signal? Are you looking for groups to share trading signals? first, I want to remind you that there are no reliable signals, they are all scams. They give you a free signal at first and then they charge you if you want to continue to receive signals from them or they will tempt you to invest in some pump and dump project, where they pre-purchase a large number of tokens then exhort people to buy so they silently sell tokens to everyone at a higher price. In the end, they are the beneficiaries, no one else. Almost all channels from telegram or discord are intended to lure members to scam and not give you knowledge or any benefit to the community. Stay away from them, try to learn, gain knowledge and make yourself your own signal provider.

In general, channels that post signals are pump-and-dump scams.

Here is how it works:

1. The channel operator buys a large number of tokens.
2. Afterward, the channel operator publishes a "signal" telling everyone in the channel to buy the same token.
3. The price rises as the channel members start buying.
4. The channel operator sells all of her tokens as the price rises and makes a profit.
5. Channel members eventually stop buying and start selling.
6. The price plummets because there are no more buyers.
7. Channel members are stuck with worthless tokens.
