Glad that I've found this post. Because I've received a phone call from 24crypto trying to lure me to invest 50 euros on their platform. They got my number from some marketing or contest website because they were addressing me by a name that I only use for that kind of stuff. Non native speaking English on the other side.

as I said, I was going through a lot of pages at the same time, I was excited I was about to send my first bitcoin payment, I had this page open I don't know where from, they had a very good exchange for BTC to ETH, I didn't research the vendor and I just went for it.

To be honest I was more focused on sending the payment correctly since I am just starting getting familiar with crypto wallets and addresses.

My first red flag should have been the rate that was too good to be true, stupid me, but I didn't care or think much of it ..

it's very frustrating to be cheated and stolen

it is, but at the same time not as much as one would think, this time was completely my fault and I am owning to that. I guess if I had done everything I could to prevent being stolen from and then being cheated on then I wouldn't feel good or fell angry or frustated (called whatever you like it), part of my mental health management I guess, this time was 100% my fault. Call me an imbecille but at the same time I am kind of glad my first bitcoin transaction went through correctly ... and again it sucks but I learned something today ..

- What did you want in this exchange? because there are exchange like Binance that is a very reliable exchange, why you left Binance for a less popular exchange?

The exchange not really familiar, sometimes i use a small exchange like Stex, Graviex, Ogre Exchange, Crex24, Tradesatoshi and other small exchange. But for this exchange based on a name just like exchange created by a scammer at Telegram and they randomly making a PM to other people. Better try to search some testimony or reputation before using an unfamiliar exchange, if you can't find it then better avoid that exchange.

What sort of keyword did you use to land on such exchange because there is no way you can really find such a new exchange rank on any keyword. If it ranked on any search engine you can probably find that site on the 15th page. And I can't describe what I can call to a guy who goes beyond 2nd page of his searches.
You spamming that link?  Cheesy

I was googling and googling down the rabbit hole and I honestly don't know how I stumbled on this website. Then silly me I didn't do my homework and research the company before doing business, serves me right, still experience in the bag, hopefully I learn a lesson!

I guess I was all excited about sending my first bitcoin payment. It took me almost half an hour just to find the transaction hash Grin I couldn't figure it out!!! I mean you have the two addresses and the hash, I just didn't see it sitting up there above it!

Any tips/resources you can give out/point me to I can study for better navigate the crypto exchange world?

So far I found and I am looking. at:

blockchain as web wallet but also downloaded electrum for hard wallet
coinswitch.co
coinbase
localbitcoins
pool.bitcoin
viabtc
mycoinify

coins.in (you guys gave me this one for fees)

Which I still haven't research them all ..  Tongue

and a couple more just for checking the mempool

Thanks!!!

Of all exchanges out there, I wonder how you knew about this exchange? Anyway, the transaction is confirmed already. If it is still not showing in your account, try contacting the exchange via email and not through the contact form. I saw 3 email addresses in their Privacy Policy:

Code:

I prefer the 2nd and 3rd one. It's not guaranteed that they will reply, but you can try. Also, I suggest that next time, please search about the site/services first before using, post/reviews will be a (bit of) help to see the credibility of it.

If the transaction is not confirmed yet you can try to double spend with some wallets.

I have a lot to learn, thanks for the tip!!!

I am sorry but the exchange you used is a phishing site and not a real exchange so you lost your coins.
What coins did you send?
Did you send btc and is the transaction confirmed?
What wallet are you using?

If the transaction is not confirmed yet you can try to double spend with some wallets.

Hi all,

I placed my first exchange request and I am not sure I have done something wrong or maybe picked the wrong exchange.

Anyone is familiar with 24crypto.exchange ?

On my part I did send the payment with a regular fee and it got stuck into a transaction spike for almost a day (not sure what the etiquette is for payment processing time).

On their part the contact form return an error so there is no way for me of getting in touch with them.

Also the term of service states that in case of failure of the exchange the client (me) is obliged to inform on it within 7 days. Well how am I suppose to inform them if I can't reach them!

Can anybody care to comment?

Many thanks!
