Many people especially in the last year made that mistake, they invested only thinking of cryptocurrencies as speculative assets and as a result of their actions they lost money, those that have invested in cryptocurrencies thinking about its utility and how cryptocurrencies are going to change the economy and the society in which we live are in profits or at least have accepted the fact they just invested at the wrong moment.

Today's cryptocurrency investors, most of them speculators, don't care about the technology and use of passwords, just about when prices will rise. So I don't think it's a bad thing for markets to fall sometimes, we need more believers than speculators.

The downtrend for the past six months opened their eyes to the reality that it is not a get-rich-scheme because ever since the meteoric rise last December, the price has been in a downtrend. The market may already reach the bottom and now heading towards a new trend again but we can see that those who are in it for the long term are the only ones who remained in the market and those who only joined for quick profits has been burned and I think they left it months ago maybe not returning again.

Those who have been in the space for the long term or OGs know the market better than the newbies and they are the one we should follow because they know more often than not what is actually happening. At it´s current state, bitcoin is viewed as digital gold, driven by the idea of value preservation or quick ROI, even thou it is very volatile. It is by that definition, just like many other cryptos an investment venture. I agree with your thoughts and even bitcoin could evolve into a payment method, even if there are better coins out there. When looking at the whole crypto space it is not a investment venture but many or most users still only hold coins for ROI not to use it! The usability of crypto is still so low, but the potential is there, to go beyond being just an investment. When we see usability that generates value for companies or when companies realize they can save energy and time, blockchain will have evoled into a very usable tool.

I agree with you on this 100 percent. We have to keep something projects which are embracing cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology, especially the latter. I very much blockchain will form an enormous part of the near future in almost every aspect of our daily lives. I see crypto as the asses to participate in blockchain from a monetary perspective. One thing cryptocurrency has done is to make raising funds for great projects very easy, from all over the world. The irony is, most of those left in the space now are those that are passionate about the tech, and not the price. However, when the next pump comes, all those that care about the price will FOMO in and actually reward those like us the most, as we are in the market now even the price is down
