What crypto web-sites do you surf for the news the most? How often do you read them?

Until now, the crypto media i use to perform the analysis is :
https://coinmarketcap.com/
https://www.reddit.com/
https://www.livecoinwatch.com/
https://www.bitcoin.com/
https://www.coindesk.com/

But to know the price that seeking. I always visit https://coinmarketcap.com/ and this almost every time i do it.

a good bet would be going here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0

It's a link I can not miss, with this link I can see the development of crypto.

Actually I dont trust anything on the internet anymore. There is so much misinformation and misleading stuff around that it has become almost impossible to filter the legit stuff from the fake. For now I only stick to reading up on projects and forming my own opinion about it. As almost everything you will read on the internet has an interest of someone behind it, it is not worthy for me anymore. A website I like to browse though is coinspectator, because it gathers a lot of cryptoinformation in one place and one can decide what to read in no time.

I know a lot of sites were listed, but what about trusted experts in the crypto community.  Does anyone have recommendations on people in the community that are unbiased and just factual/informative?  I find a lot of media these days to have an agenda.

Yes, there are really a lot of good quality posters around and most of them are in the Legendary status. But I won't drop a name here, I want you to go around the forums and discover who those Legendary members I'm talking about.  Grin. I don't want to be accuse of "fawning". LOL.

As far as media I can trust, its really hard to say. Most of the mainstream media now are just writing garbage articles specially when bitcoin prices soar. As if they are just riding the popularity of crypto's, heck you can really spot them because all they talk is non sense and they really have their own agenda behind.

For the best source of news, this is the only reliable source that you can find. Although there's a lot of FUD's around, I'm sure that you can filter it out based on the answer of other members, and of course use your common sense.

The Merkle - like this one much, good and informative content.

Also Coindesk and Huffington Post are worth reading. Coindesk - for news and they have very good crypto event list. And on Huffington post there are interesting articles

Glad I could help.
Steem.it also has good pieces but you need to filter a lot to get to the right blogs. Smiley

Information is key in this market and the worst part truly is reading baseless FUD and random speculation from the mainstream crypto media networks as well as random so called "experts" all day long and having to wade through loads and loads of garbage. Thanks for thr thread

that's true, of course. there are lots of sites and news sources in the web, sometimes making it hard to distinguish what's relevant and what's not.
Still I believe that 'old' media with high reputation (like Cointelegraph for instance) are trustworthy and deserve people's attention. they provide really important and checked information.

What crypto web-sites do you surf for the news the most?

I read these news channels:

cryptocoinsnews.com
cointelegraph.com
news.bitcoin.com
www.newsbtc.com

news.bitcoin.com ----- Is a good news site, but they seem to be defending bitcoin cash and are against bitcoin

cryptocoinsnews.com ----- this site of news is very fast in publishing new articles, I think it very excellent

cointelegraph.com ----- Website with very explanatory news

newsbtc.com ----- I like this site because they give some price analysis

How often do you read them?

I follow the news every time, if I'm not at home, then I use my cell phone

yes, those sites are very good in traffic. about 11-13 million people visit them according to similarweb. That's a huge number indeed!:)

I think this forum is the best place to update the news about the cryptocurrency market. The news is always mentioned in the discussion, this is where I can update the news every hour, every day, even every minute.

well, yes, agree. but new threads appear so fast that sometimes it can be a challenge to identify the the most important once.
And here I'm asking more about submitting press-releases about the projects, for instance.

just to stay on this topic, may I ask which youtube channel for cryptos would you all reccommend? thank you

You know there are really lots e.g Datadash, BiteSizeBitcoim, Crypto Hedge, Crypto Daily etc. etc. etc. It would be a hassle if you will try to subscribe at lots of channels just to learn information about cryptos.

To be specific, you can directly browse Youtube on what information about cryptos you need to know. All our crypto related question and concern can be found on internet or if you don't like the idea of just reading and want to learn it instead via stream videos then just hit Yt's search bar. Soon you don't need that channels and I know you will reached that point as your progress.

Just explore mate.  Cool

Also would like to thank you for sharing some youtube channels. I think Youtube is really great when it comes to reviewing and spreading info about the project.

I read quite a few crypto related blogs and news websites, but I don't know if I really trust any of them at face value to be honest.
Whenever I see a new article, I always try to find the information at the source, if it's listed or do some basic research myself before believing any of it.

Most news websites have different writers on their team, each with their own views, so I've seen many different sets of opinions creep up on the same website.

The Merkle and Cointelegraph are pretty good if you just want to follow the latest news.

Agree. Checking and double-surfing the info is good way to identify the real situation.
And as I see from the answers given the Merkle and Cointelegraph are among the leaders)

Unfortunately many of these websites in the crypto space (or actually the whole news media in general) use their following for manipulation and speculation.
How many times we are going to see over-exaggerated articles that cause FUD..

Reddit is a better option for objective info nowadays and maybe a few bloggers out there.
Be very cautious of everything you read is my advice.

Starting my project for a btc news site I’m avoiding this exact thing

For example the Markle today got a article about a new company called BeConnect

I mean come on fuck give us something new and original and that won’t scam us

You can read about news at https://www.ccn.com or at https://www.crypto-news.net. On this second site you also have a section about altcoins.
Another one for me most used is http://cryptomining-blog.com, where you have a lot of things about mining equipment, mining software, but also news from bitcoin and altcoin.

Thanks for advising.

Cointelegraph.com is my main source when it comes to crypto news.

I usually visit their website and keep updated with their post on their facebook page. And my other choice is coindesk.com but sometimes when I'm lazy and just want to lie in the bed, I'm googling everything and the first one to top is the one that I'm visiting.

Also there are some interesting crypto news from forbes.

well, adverts are everywhere now, it's hard to avoid them. The key is that the info on the site should be honest and objective. then it's trustworthy.

a good bet would be going here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0
and reading the news articles and picking and choosing (and maybe bookmarking)
the crypto news sites that look the best and the most informative to you
or you can pick a recent article or news/event and google it,then go to the sites
helps to see if the "reaction time" is good enough

read these quite a lot, thank you:)

What crypto web-sites do you surf for the news the most? How often do you read them?

Great question

I’m making a news btc site myself launching next week
(Thebtcpost.com)

At the moment I love reading bitcoin.com news and crypto currency news (ccn)

I find them both to be reliable news source with articles and reviews
That every one who holds bitcoin or crypto should read now and again to be extra informed

And to filter the real ico from the bullshit one team people

Thanks for sharing! and what about such sources as cointelegraph or coindesk? Do you know/read them as well?

Yes I certainly. All reliable and I like coin telegraph graphics
When they turn the story’s pic into a cartoon

They all good and reliable but I mostly visit the first two

I think it’s because I have them set to update post auto on desktop

Got it:) many thanks for advising
