A study to be done by a team from White House eh? I'm hoping they come up with a fair or balanced report by listening to all relevant parties involved in crypto mining. This is probably the best time for the Bitcoin Mining Council to shine hehe. They were formed for times like this after all.
Is this going to inflict a hard blow on the crypto infrastructure?
Why would it? When China banned bitcoin mining the hashrate only dropped a little bit then people panic sold their bitcoins crashing the price that led to more hashrate drop but both hashrate and price were recovered in a very short time. US doesn't have nearly as much hashrate as China had.
