I think that cryptos need the both because the both goes hand in hand, there is need for more marketing and advert so that new people will embrace the space and join the cryptos space so that the space will have a major increase like last year.
Each product in the market reaches people via marketing and advertising. Even each ICO is getting into the market with more advertisement on their products. This attracts investors into crypto. 2017's growth has made more investors turn towards crypto currencies for business, investing. What do you think? Crypto doesn't need any publicity again because so many ICOs out there are enough to campaign for the existence of cryptocurrency. We should do the advert via these ICOs.
I think cryptos needs more than just marketing or an advertisement, there has been a lot of marketing and advertising about cryptos over the years, but it's not making much impact, i think what cryptos needs now is adoption and support from the government and higher tech giants.
I believe that cryptocurrency, both as a whole and individual projects, needs to be promoted. After all, many projects compete with projects that are not related to crypto currency. There are so many ways for this. For example, promotion in social networks. For reddit promotion is excellent service - upvotes.io
well the problem is that there is no "product" to advertise. none of the ICOs have any product, they aren't doing anything to have a product. they are tokens that were created and ended then and there when they received the funds they raised.
and as for usability of the crytpocurrencies i have to say when people can not use them as actual currencies (at least it is true about 90% of them) there is nothing you can advertise or market to make people want to come and use them.

I agree with you.
Cryptocurrency is not the same with other products. It is a product that everyone can access through the internet, unlike other reality products. Hence marketing and advertising is important to showcase your potential project to the investors.
At the same time, the cryptocurrency market is still new and the investors in this market is not crowded. Therefore, marketing and advertising are more necessary.

Crypto definitely need some marketing and advertising. The only concerns I have with crypto advertising is deceptive advertising, causing people to fall for hype of an ICO that doesn't have a great product, probably a copy.
If I think that ico can need an advertisement,can also I don't need it, because there are also a lot of commercials who have little success and they rely on personal money first, yes, of course if ico want to be more successful, ico also need more advertising.

No great product that does not need marketing of some sorts. Bear in mind that marketing and advertising go hand in hand since they both have the same goal of putting the product out there. Therefore, it's imperative to market a product and the budget for Marketing is usually robust as that's bounties, airdrops, and even advertising (banner ads, flashes, etc.) on various web pages come in. Crypto there need marketing to create the necessary awareness and buzz around the project.
