Armory has had this exact feature for a few releases already. It can even re-randomise for each separate character of the password.
Would it be possible to have the enter password done with a on screen keyboard that can be mouse clicked that transmits the info securely to the client, and the keyboard can randomise the key position.
this way only a realtime screen grab could get a password, no easy feat.

well I never think about that, but you might be right!
onscreen windows keyboard might do the trick - as long as it is not recognized as a "key pressed"...
On windows, just turn on screen keyboard on.
