Luckily, there is Santa Claus who will bring all the presents on 24th December. But what would the cryptoboomer do if this wouldn't work anymore?

Right, build some system based on blockchains and "smart contracts" that will create the same effect. This would require coordinating different steps:

1. Capturing the contents of wish lists
2. Assigning payments to vendors of presents, and to transportation service providers
3. Adding gift wrappings and gift cards
4. Forwarding the correct instructions to the providers so the right presents go to the right wishers

The human helpers who help performing the steps would have to be blinded as much as possible against the remaining steps in order to provide plausible deniability for all participants. After all, no one would want to get accused of being Santa Claus as this would only open them to pressure from disappointed wishers. Parents know about the severity of this problem.

After all, the system would have track all use of resources in a blinded fashion in order to protect against leechers among the participants. Otherwise, we could all outsource this to our favourite online marketplace.

We could now brainstorm on how to implement this. But luckily, Santa Claus is reliable, even in times of COVID-19.
