Doon sa main app nila walang private key dahil exchange pero yung sa Coinbase Wallet app bibigyan ka ng option to store the private key or back up in form of a 12 word recovery phrase.

Kung ikukumpara ko yung wallet nila parang katulad siya ng Coinomi may legacy at segwit addresses na available sa tingin ko hindi siya masama gamitin as a starting multi coin wallet if yun ang prefer mo basta huwag lang malaking halaga ilalagay.

Yeah I've read about the Coinbase Wallet app that Coinbase but based on the their recent reviews sa mga user nila mukhang hindi pa din advisable sa mga newbies na gawing starting wallet ito.

Thank you sa advice. Siguradong maraming tatangkilik nito.

Aside from that Coinbase wallets don't give you any private keys para sa crypto wallet mo na para sakin ay medyo panget kasi hindi talaga ikaw ang talagang nagmamayari ng wallet mo. Non-custodial wallets might be tough on newbies and isn't easy to use as custodial wallets pero ones na naging familiar ka na sa U.I. nito magagamit mo ito ng maayos at aside from that mas madaming uses ito like signing messages as well as sending Bitcoin to multiple addresses at the same time.

I strong advice for newbies to not use a custodial wallet as their first wallet in the crypto industry. Rinirespeto ko yung opinyon mo OP thinking na safe ang Coinbase kahit online wallet sila pero the fact na online wallet sya ay isa na sa mga cons na nakikita ko, yes Coinbase might not be hackable pero as a user sa tingin mo guaranteed ka na wala kang madadaanan na mga phishing emails and website or yung email mismo mo ay hindi mahack? Of course not dahil araw araw may nabibiktima dito at pwede nila makuha yung cryptocurrencies mo na wala kang ka-alamalam.

In the meantime, third-party wallet muna ang gamit ko ngayon.

Coinbase app for buying and selling cryptocurrencies although right now di pa tayo pwede mag-send ng fiat money dito. Pero pwede mag-send ng crypto and then convert to another crypto.

Tapos i-convert ko yong Ripple(XRP)  to other cryptos. Purpose ko dito is to hold it for some time and then sell it pag tumaas na ang value nila.

Supported Cryptos
  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Ripple(XRP)
  • Chainlink (LINK)
  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • EOS (EOS)
  • Tezos (XTZ)
  • Stellar Lumens (XLM)
  • Cosmos (ATOM)
  • Dash (DASH)
  • Ethereum Classic (ETC)
  • Zcash (ZEC)
  • Maker (MKR)
  • Compound (COMP)
  • Algorand (ALGO)
  • Dai (DAI)
  • Basic Attention Token (BAT)
  • Kyber Network (KNC)
  • 0X (ZRX)
  • Band Protocol (BAND)
  • OMG Network (OMG)
  • Augur (REP)
  • Orchid (OXT)

Coinbase Wallet is a standalone app that allow us to store cryptos, erc-20 tokens, collect rare digital art and other collectibles and many more. Actually, bago ko lang siya nalaman. You can connect your Coinbase account to this wallet.

Visit nyo na lang and FAQ section nila here for more information.

Although it is never 100% safe to store your cryptos in an online wallet, I believe that Coinbase is one of the safest web wallets we can use. According to them, they keep almost 99% of their assets in an offline cold storage that can't be accessed — when in cold storage, they cannot be hacked!

But in the end, nothing can beat the hardware wallets like Ledger or Trezor.
