In recent weeks, bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies have been taking hard hits, mostly due to uncertainty in the market caused by speculation that South Korea would going to ban cryptos. When governments anywhere in the world attempt to interfere in the cryptocurrency market, either by taxation enforcement, restricting its anonymity, or banning it outright, the whole market throughout the world falters.

In the United States, we are working to fight inside and outside the system. The Better Money PAC is a political action committee committed to preventing excessive governmental intrusion in the crypto markets by electing pro-crypto candidates across the country. We need your support. But why should you, as an investor, make a contribution to a political group?

To safeguard your investments.

Some may think that the United States federal government will not interfere in cryptocurrencies, but that is an incorrect assumption. SB1241, recently considered by the US Senate Judiciary committee, would criminalize the concealment of bitcoin, essentially revoking its anonymity. This bill, known as the Combating Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and Counterfeiting Act of 2017, would hurt the crypto market and is being actively debated right now. Even if legislation is not passed, the SEC and the IRS are already rolling out regulations to get their hands on crypto. The SEC requires ICOs to be reported, and the IRS requires a capital gains tax on money made through cryptocurrency investments.

How can we prevent a greedy federal government from dipping its hands into our pockets? Support the Better Money PAC. With your generous donations, we will fight at all levels of government to ensure the crypto world. We will promote the right candidates to office who value this new marketplace and prevent excessive interference.
