Cryptocurrency is really a life changer to Nigerian youth at large because sometimes I used to wonder how Naija youth for take survive without cryptocurrency, but thankgod today crypto awerness have reduced unemployment in this country because before some many youth were finding things difficult in this country some have write application tired in so many companies at last they end up being jobless, however crypto space have really helped us to achieved so many things and of course it have provide a better job opportunities for the poor people's and they're living very well today.

OP, it's a pity that our government has not been able to solve high rate of unemployment among the young people in this Nigeria,  this has made the youths sort out their salvation in crypto, imagine Nigeria without crypto, omo crisis for dey plenty, but we thankGod for crypto wey dey give youths joy, many youths Don buy houses, marry through crypto, some times hardship dey make youth adventure more,if our government be dey do well, we for no dey send crypto like that, because some people Don dey use am the fraud people,  wahala plenty, but the advantage plenty pass the disadvantage.

No lies, cryptocurrencies have really impacted on my live since I started it. Aside from the fact that it has benefited me financially in the sense that I am able to solve my financial problems and used it to invest and also build my life, that's a lot to appreciate and mention as far as Bitcoin is concerned but that didn't stop there. Bitcoin have also impacted the lives of my family because I am able to put food in the table and still support my siblings with their needs. If not for anything, it has been really uplifting.

My abovementioned have motivated me to also spread the word of bitcoin in my community through word of mouth and engagement of younger ones to look at the technology from the very positive side and not the false beliefs they have about it.

for me I'll describe Bitcoin in this our Nigeria as our Savior, because if not for cryptocurrency i don't know what the youth's would've become of now. I've seen so many of the younger ones benefiting from Bitcoin lately, not only the youth's both the top business men in this Nigeria are so benefiting from it. When it comes to unemployment is one of the most things that triggers the youth's to go into learning how to trade, and we all know that the government don't want to see the growth of the youth's in this Nigeria. Seeing the younger ones progress at their younger age it's like a crime to them. So thanks to Bitcoin for being our Savior.

The thing be say some of these guys actually know about all these revelations about Bitcoin and the advantages it posses bit it's just the bad eggs are more than the good ones and that's why they cover the little that posses such mind, I remember vividly wen one woman for one of these national assembly houses actually stood up and defended and back up Bitcoin as a claim that has done more good than harm but she was ignored for almost everything she stood for but still yet the truth said will never go unrecoded.

Boss, you have said it all, and I respect you for this, I just hope everyone will think outside of the box when it comes to the issue of this country and what we term as a "bright future" because the world is going in different direction and anyone who is going in the opposite direction is just trying to swim against the current.

I just hope and pray that people who have this same mindset as you get to the place of Leadership and not these old 1960-1970 folks that still hold olden days views and trying to rule this digital world with it.

Well the thing is that it would have been what it would have been my bro. No be lie say crypto don really help so many people out there and even till date it still paving way for the technology to keep advancing in helping different directions and that's why no matter what and why the government feel threatened by Bitcoin the people who benefits will still using the technology.

The government will take initiative from us if we earn from cryptocurrencies and don't bother about their jobs and minimum wages to begin with. It is the loss of such control that makes them want to tax cryptocurrency exchanges so they can be a part of the financial evolution happening right under their nose despite the fact that all they care about is changing national anthem and taxing every legitimate businesses in the country for their benefits.

As a Nigerian that have lived in the country from your tender age, you should know that you need to double your hustle even during and after school and now depend on the school and the government to be your shepherd when you reach the employable state. So many unemployed youths are roaming without work, so what make your studies so special than theirs that you will get work when you finish. Amidst all this, hopes are not lost but the school is also necessary in order to achieve some other things you can lay your hands on that won’t come directly from the school you’re gone to. Education is important and adding is up with a skill is more preferable.


The government are not blind to see the importance of this bitcoin and what their youths stands to benefit if they allow the use of it by making it easily accessible to all youth today. If you know the government well, you should know that they’re centralised institutions and for bitcoin being a decentralised network, it will be very hard for them to just allow the use of it even after knowing the economic benefits of it to their youths financial freedom.

Well, to me I don't see anything wrong in free expression of one opinion or outlining the the substand of someone pull as nobidy is embodiment but rather subject to learning on daily basis of knowledge so I think there is need for you to make a polite correction or guideline when you notice the low standard of someone pull. A wrong approach was used tackle the problem. You no fit start off by attacking every website, closing down P2P services and arresting delegates sent to negotiate and expect them to be willing to work with you going forward.

Boils down to the body of content; to me it's a natural thing that usually happens because I don't see that government hate bitcoin but their problem is people are operating bitcoin independently without them having any control to how those transaction are moved, let's take for instance Binance case and the two young men that was detained.

They aren't working only on these people but for Binance to indirectly operation in country without paying tax to government is very bad, I believe no nation or an entity that would go US to operate without paying tax and immediately the business is set up then they starts paying.

So to me I don't see it as people who are against cryptocurrency rather it was US that opened the eyes of Nigerian government to start acting against all these exchanges, untill they all settled the government by paying tax before operation they would always wants to shutdown lot of these platforms that offers p2p.

If not BTC, many graduates would have still be in d labour market searching for where to drop CV to get a job in d country, but BTC has helped many youths to earn huge amount of money to established other businesses that is helping them to live a good life today.

I believe one day God go give us president who will understand decentralized currency and what it can do to eliminate this hardship from Nigeria forever, because people are going through a lot of things in d country which d government need to find solution to Nigeria problem which I know that BTC will be part of the Nigeria solution soon.
No, there are some people in d country who are not into BTC business, but dey are surviving like decentralized currency investors, I believe u have heard about real estate business, transportation business, gas and oil business men and women and it is difficult for such people to experience this hardship in d country.

Crypto currency has definitely saved many youths from going into poverty or any other illegal activities because Bangladesh and Nigeria are two countries where people have utilised it to the fullest and contributed lot.

The important and alarming things is the fact about all the back and forth between the exchanges and Nigerian government amd removal of trading pair. This should be sorted in a positive way and government should stop interfering in crypto currency related stuffs to ensure longevity of benefits we get.

Without bitcoins and cryptocurrency, we would have still found a way in other investments like stocks, real estate, etc. or in running other offline businesses. Bitcoin created a better market that has been more attractive to the youths, which is why it is now seeming like the only hope for us, the youths.


If you are introduced to bitcoins and cryptocurrency without making any form of investment in them as a way to help you out of poverty in a while, you will remain poor. Knowing about bitcoins alone will not guarantee success; you need to invest, hodl, and keep investing.

Speaking for myself, I'll say that involving in Cryptocurrency is one of the best thing I've done for myself and all thanks to the forum for helping to widen my knowledge about different Cryptocurrencis at large and most especially Bitcoin. I wish I've had a good knowledge about Bitcoin more earlier like when it was founded but like they say, it's better late than never. There's no doubt that Cryptocurrency has helped reduced the unemployment and crime rate in our country recently, many youths are no more waiting on the government or white-collar jobs due to the numerous job opportunities it's provided, too bad we're being ruled by a government that's too blind to boost our economy with the help of Cryptocurrency block-chains  but are rather fighting against it, well they might be blind but the youths are not cause they've seen for themselves the usefulness and benefits of Cryptocurrency and won't want to go back to criminal activities for survival. Cryptocurrency has a great potential and is very beneficial if one have good knowledge about it, so anyone going into it for the first time must have a good knowledge and understanding before investing in it.

There are traders, and there are investors in the country as well. There are people who managed to join the trend of merging cryptocurrency into their private business in the country. Also there are people that through cryptocurrencies they can easily send money to loved ones outside the country without having to pass through the so-called traditional bank system.

Just think about the benefits you will see that it is beyond money mindset and financial breakthrough. What we have learnt in this few years because of cryptocurrency has made us draw closer to new and advanced technology. We now know what a layman could understand.

I stand to be corrected almost 50-70  naija youth who knows how to read and write are engaged either mining shiltcoin, altcoin, trading, buy by accumulating even the so called telegram tapping that has recently drag the attention of so many person, though some may likely fall prey as they are following wrong perspective but linking it all still crypto, Bitcoin value in our naija society to can't be overruled no matter who is kicking against it , the kick will not stand neither will it come to pass in Bitcoin and crypto we shall stand.

The problem of Nigerian isn't crypto related and with or without cryptocurrency, Nigeria will still be in the current state we're in now or would do better in terms of economic decision and government policies. Cryptocurrency wasn't created to solve the problems leaders of a country are supposed to be solving and it's best you get your fact right.

We all know the context where Bitcoin has done good to the society but that's never to suggest that it's the hope of a better Nigeria. If you're ever considering a sector that's really going to help better our nation, then we should be talking about;
1. The agricultural sector
2. The educational sector
3. The technological sector (where Bitcoin comes in)
4. working on our leadership systems
5. And a whole lot of key areas that will be fundamental for our growth.

One major problem we've hard as a nation is that we're good at focusing on an area while allowing other areas to suffer. That's why you find our leaders fucosing on infrastructure while the educational sector and technological sector is dying. Cryptocurrency alone isn't the hope for Nigerian, it's going to help our youths if we experience better level of adoption but  even with that, equipping our youths with the right technological skillset will even do more good than what crypto knowledge alone can do.

You guys paint all good pictures about crypto currency as tho anyone can just jump into it, apart from airdrop and bounties I don't know another way that peopel earn free from crypto and most airdrop turn out to be a waste of time and bounties too, to excel in crypto as a youth you need to know more than the average market or school boy knows which is to participate on airdrop you need to start investing and that takes money, not everyone can and would do that, so your topic renewal of hope makes crypto also look like some get rich scheme, although it flows with Milk and honey you have yo find the right sea to drink from some a salty scam and others have no taste, only few are juicy and woudl give you the best, so as you try to encourage more people about its good side let them also know its bitter side .

OP, to be sincere cryptocurrency more expecially Bitcoin has done more good for the youths to be precise, many youths in this country started having Interest in tech because the opportunity Bitcoin has created, I just use my safe as an example, although I know about crypto and Bitcoin before now but I was not into it fully but with help of someone i hold in high esteem here that intorduced me to this forum i picked interest in cryptocurrency generally, i now undeestand that if we carefully research very well about cryptocurrency and stay updated with every coming events in the investemnt, the benefit is so enormous, currently many youth has grown in crypto to the extent that they no longer buy only bitcoin, they have spread their tentacles in buying other promising coins too which may have profited them in this period that we ecpeeienced Bitcoin pump.

The employment aspect, it is the uninformed youths that are still looking for government jobs, many of us has moved beyond that because of the information we got about this digital asset, this information has really been helpful to many of us, the government are not blind as you think, they know what they are doing, they were afraid because of how money was leaving our trafitional banks, indivuduals were withdrawing to invest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general that was their fear, talking about blochnain technology, our government is not willing to adopt such a decentralized and transparent system thats capable of depriving them the opportunity to loot funds, they already know this and that's why they can't allow such technology to exist here.

Sometime I wonder what would have be the fate of Nigeria youth without Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Nigeria government has totally fail the youth in terms employment and social amenities that will boast development in the country making a lot of regret for being a Nigerian as result of unemployment and poverty across the nation. However, the introduction of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency now seen to be the only means of surviving for many Nigeria youth and it help in poverty eradication and suffering in the country but I wonder why the government are so blind to see the positive impact of Blockchain in socia-econmic development of the country.
