Many see this as an opportunity, but is anyone really buying anything with it? After all, it is money, and currencies are used to buy items.

That's the burning question! For record, yes people are using cryptocurrencies to buy products are services. Silt route was one of the prime examples which dominated the darknet for quite some time before getting busted. But people were using cryptocurrencies in darknet because they didn't want to leave a money trail. That's a clever step anyone would take.

But if you ask me if people are buying their regular stuffs using cryptos or not! The answer would disappoint you because things are not rosey here as it sounds.

Bitcoin has become the king of investment. So people prefer to keep them in the wallet instead of using them to buy regular stuffs. Because no real world investment would even come close to the bitcoin! That's a fact!

That's how I like my surveys. Short Cheesy

You could actually add an option to choose more than one in the last question.
For me acceptance and privacy are equally important. I wouldn't want to make a purchase without both of these things.

Good luck with your thesis!

Not a fan of survey forms but I hope this helps. If you heard the recent news about Tesla: Elon Musk says people can now buy a Tesla with bitcoin.
Other than that, you go to the Goods which is the marketplace of forum for purchases from other members to another. This is one of the place where you can buy stuff and there's more outside.

If you check responses here as well as your form, I used to buy stuff from places like scan.co.uk and I've bought games from steam when they both accepted bitcoin. Scan's payment processor, however, now requires kyc verification and I haven't looked back a tusing them since (it was more convenient and seemed nicer than using a card but the additional legislation now puts a barrier on the entry - especially if you have to wait a while for it to be checked).

I'm looking forward to that day to happen, wherein large online shops are now accepting cryptocurrency as a mode of payment. If that happens, then it is now the beginning of mass adoption.

Anyhow, that is the real purpose of most crypto. To be able to use as payment when you want to buy something. 😊

Hi everyone!

I'm Imre and I'm working on my thesis on "The use of cryptocurrencies as a form of digital payment for e-commerce".

Cryptocurrency is a hot topic, both inside and outside the tech community for a while now. The appeal of cryptocurrencies is growing as demand and recognition evolve.

People are installing wallets and buying Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other digital currencies in record numbers.

Many see this as an opportunity, but is anyone really buying anything with it? After all, it is money, and currencies are used to buy items.

The goal of this survey is to capture sentiment about the use of cryptocurrencies as a form of digital payment.

Thank you in advance  Smiley
