Everyone chooses an idol for himself. I read a lot of news. I can't advise my favorite dudes since they do reviews in my local language. But they tell everything with jokes, I like their style of writing. Even if I don't invest, I still read them, because they write fucking awesome.
I think you will eventually choose those who are close to you in spirit, whom you are interested in reading. I don't like to see naked facts. It's cool to see something unique from the author, his opinion, well, you understand.

I really like Doug Polk Crypto. It's a former poker professionnel player who is now in cryptocurrencies.

What I like about him, it's that :

- He's honest
- Funny
- Giving good advices
- Prevent his audience about scams and other bad influencers in crypto.

Many of these crypto influencers are aware that their words impact what people will invest in.

So when we see tweets that mentioned about ICO by crypto influencers, we must take notice whether these mentions are genuine or just paid advertising.

Whenever you or some one else start out in the new field, it's hard to find trusted experts/influencers. I started my crypto journey by reading Quora and Reddit to find out what's Crypto world actually, but it seems i did't get what i want to learn, at the same time i found people are making their 'own' coin easily(possibly scam), Then i started watching video's on Youtube and bought courses on Udemy. So, time by time some names hitting my mind again and again like Nakamoto Satoshi, Antonopoulos and other. Here is top 25 cryptocurrency influencers that everyone should follow - http://www.hashtaginvesting.com/blog/crypto-influencers-to-follow

Not only individual people, but maybe also websites, press, or forums (like this one), that could boost an ICO?
As names were already listed, I will try to name some channels and websites which can influence the prices a lot. Coin Desk seems to be #1 in news on cryptocurrencies, so I guess the news there are read by lots of people who trust them. CNBC is also a big media service with news. Yet both of them are rather neutral, I don't think they really give a lot their opinion on coins and prices but rather provide facts about developers who live some projects and turn to other ones, state the price changes etc. I think youtube channels like cryptoverse, DataDash, coinmastery are rather influential, because they all have 30k+ followers and actually give advice on investments.

Who are the most influential people in cryptocurrencies, so a that a message from them can likely skyrocket an ICO?
You are seeing it this in the wrong way, there may be influential individuals like that, but who cares if a coin skyrockets if the next day dumps, it is better to look for long term investments and the only way to know whether an icos is going to be successful is by doing the research yourself, take your time and read everything you can find about a coin including the opinions of other people but do not take your decisions based on that alone.

As a rule, I read the opinions of influential people, but I almost always treat them critically. First, it is necessary to distinguish the opinions of influential specialists in the field of crypto-currency, as well as the opinion of simply influential people, including politicians, bankers, etc. The comments of the latter in general are generally biased. However, of course, their words greatly influence the public and the course of the crypto currency, taking into account its great volatility.

I do not suggest investing based on an influencers opinion. Most of the time their opinions are biased because they have been paid for their influence for what they are advertising.

I do not recommend you to rely on influencers for get into the crytocurrency market or trade, if this is your goal. This forum is the most popular worldwide, and there are other forums, websites and twitter accounts. To advertise ICOs there are signature campaings in forums and all levels of users can promote it. However, in this forum users from Member level upwards maybe have a high trust for the community. You have to pay attention if they are currently active.
