I would not be surprised by the results of this survey because if we conducted this survey with young people in all countries the results would not be much different. Even we ourselves can feel it in our own country. In my country, the majority of young people are investing in cryptocurrency, even first and second year students spend time investing in cryptocurrency. Life is getting harder and the need to make money is getting bigger and cryptocurrencies are attracting great attention when it comes to generating big profits. Therefore, it is obvious that young people invest in cryptocurrency.

I'm glad to see these kinds of numbers in France as well; I don't think this is surprising since I think there will be more investors in cryptocurrencies in the future. In fact, I think many other countries will have a similar number of investors as France has, as they have demonstrated more than any other nation. What surprises me, though, is the number of investors themselves, as even the survey has turned into proof to convince people.

Since many countries do not allow bitcoin, that is not a bad thing. However, I think that when some countries that recognise the value of bitcoin become successful among the rest, it will make them feel good about bitcoin. To be honest, those who believe in bitcoin will undoubtedly become successful people in the future because holding a bitcoin now is like holding an important thing.
Governments may try to do everything to stop people from adopting bitcoin, however the truth cannot be hidden, if you see that your neighbor bought a new car or they are making plans to improve their house and you ask them how they got their money, and the answer they give you is that they did this through bitcoin, then it is obvious you will become interested on this market, and the more this happens the more people will come and increase the positive outcomes people get out of this market even further.

IMO these surveys should have the margin of error and ratio on what actually it shows based on the demographics of that country.
But of course, even without that and with such simple surveys. We can see that France is becoming one of the countries that have people aware of cryptocurrencies now.
It's also possible that someday that it's going to be a number one preference of many young investors of a country but, we don't know when and only time can tell.

Bitcoin Halving Year 🎗️🎭
It seems that many young people in France are aware of the potential of cryptocurrency so many of them have decided to invest in this instrument. Even though cryptocurrency actually refers to a payment system rather than an investment instrument, it doesn't matter as long as there are more people who hold or use cryptocurrency either for their transactions or investments. I hope that this crypto investment trend will not only boom in France, but in more countries globally.
I think not only young people in France are so aware of Bitcoin but also the youth of other countries are very aware of Bitcoin. Maybe the young people in France publicized their investment so that people would know but most of the smart people do not publicize Bitcoin investing. Cryptocurrency investment is sure to pay you but it must take time to invest and hold for a long time until the price of Bitcoin reaches a high level. You are right that not only in France but also in other countries these bitcoins are circulating but they are not the only ones being published. Especially in the country where I live bitcoin is totally illegal but people don't know that bitcoin is liked in our country everyone knows bitcoin is out of circulation in our country. But one thing is that our country also has a lot of bitcoin transactions and everything but because of legal offense people in my country are not revealing anything about bitcoin. So we can say that Bitcoin is in circulation all over the world, the only difference is that it is published in many countries and not much.

Once a man, twice a child!
I don't know how this type of news comes out whenever Bitcoin approaches a rally but I can say they're often timely. This is timely, no doubt, and it will give a push to the incoming rally and occasion a rally before a rally kind of feeling in the market. Maybe this will even suggest that more surveys be carried out across countries to ascertain their level of crypto investments. The France survey is an indication that a momentum is building up for Bitcoin. It's going to be a huge rally, I trust.

As Bitcoin gets more popular, the adoption is inevitable and more investors will be investing in the currency which is why we're still early and it'll be ideal we seize that opportunity and accumulate Bitcoin.
Frankly, literally, it will be a tragedy for anyone who's a member of this forum not to latch on to this opportunity before this coming halving to buy and hodl Bitcoin. If they wait till the rally proper begins, they're going to chase price and that's tantamount to being forewarned yet refusing to be forearmed.

I see Bitcoin forecasting as an investment and not for settling payments.
I've seen another member who agrees with my position that Bitcoin is more of an asset than a payment option. Yes, maybe Satoshi's original plan was for it to be a payment option that will cut off the bottleneck called middleman but what has given Bitcoin more coverage has been the asset part.

I can see that the survey looks very legit. More than 8k people were surveyed, and the results are supposedly representative of the adult population, which I think it's probably true. I didn't know investing was such a popular thing in France, as 1 in 4 people invested in something, and that 9.4% is from the adult population of France, so we're talking about millions of crypto investors in France.
I'm happy to see such great numbers in France, and it would be interesting to follow the dynamics in the future (does the percentage go up, down, stay the same).
You are surprised about the popularity of investment probably because people who are investing don't really shout out their investments or their ventures, I mean most of the people around the world don't really talk about it anyway not to mention that most investment or investing companies don't have any advertising of what they offer. When you put the percentage into a raw number, I felt insignificant and surprised that millions of people are invested in crypto maybe because I am locked in this cage we call forum that I thought that this is all the people that are interested in crypto.

Yep, for the forum members relating things around us with crypto is pivotal stuff these days. Why it shouldn't be? That is the sole reason we have been in this forum for very long. There were different surveys that we discussed earlier also and it seems from every crypto country there is always all or some of the crowd who at least know about Bitcoin or other crypto coins and many of them do use it. This usage could be for anything from making profits on trade to holding the crypto in their wallets. I am pretty sure in the coming decade things will escalate to new levels.

I see a good correlation between the future and Gen Z. They want to try out new stuff regularly. With added courses about blockchain in the education system, they will push themselves towards crypto a lot. Whether it is developing a new crypto-based projects or evolving the existing ones they will make good use of crypto for sure.

@m2017, every research should be taken with a grain of salt, because the results of such research can be bad due to the bad methodology used, but as we have often seen in the past research can sometimes be done to encourage people's interest in something, and in this particular case case to encourage people to invest in cryptocurrencies.

It is not difficult to conclude who profits the most from such "research", and if we were to take an average of people who own cryptocurrencies in them, we would come to the conclusion that at least 10% of people in the world own them. To me, the figure of 800 million people seems quite exaggerated at the moment, of course, especially if we are talking about Bitcoin, where a realistic figure that many agree on is about 2% of the total population.

9.4% of the French population invests in the crypto-assets? 68,042,591 people (I Googled it on purpose), this is the population of France in January 2023. That is, it turns out to be 10 million people? This is almost 1/10 of the country's total population. I again assume, like any statistical data, this information is incorrect, that is, false. Most likely, these “researchers” interviewed a certain number of people-respondents (a couple of hundred or thousands at best) and based on this they are already drawing conclusions and inventing indicators. Liars, what can I say.

UPD. This is what turned out to be in that document.

"The Audirep survey Institute conducted a large study in the
spring of 2023 at the request of the OECD. The first part
questioned 1,056 new retail investors in shares, funds,
crowdfunding or crypto-assets about their motivations,
attitudes and behaviour."

Statistics are another form of lies.

According to the recent Survey it comes to know that cryptocurrency is the second most popular Investment in the France. This Report was published on 13 November.

Hehe, Seems like I've missed a lot on the forum this month due to absence. Anyway, I'm not sure about this survey or France, but here in my region, the Bull Run hype is going crazy. (Even though I was visiting the threads in different sections from time to time due to a shortage of time you know many hot topics got ignored especially in this section). Haha, most of the topics in November I've encountered were related to the Network fees, somehow.

Super crazy, Everyone wants to make some extra bucks so they even prefer the crypto market as a more potential market compared to Gold or Real estate. In the risk investment market crypto owns a legendary recognition. Almost all of my day-to-day friends & connections are somehow connected to the crypto market.

This Is probably a very good decision of young generation to adopt the cryptocurrency assets as part of investment. The propensity of cryptocurrency as an investment is increasing day by day. Well, i think those days are not so far when everybody will talk about "investment in cryptocurrency."

This goes to show how far Bitcoin (and cryptocurency in general) has come, give it more time and Bitcoin will be the most popular investment in France and other parts of the world (on some it's already the most popular especially the 3rd world countries or those their local currency is suffering form inflation). The Real Estate business is old and trusted by both the old and young so it'll be leading the charts for now but that won't be long. Investing in Bitcoin is very convenient when compared to the other forms of investment and that's why it's growing rapidly on the younger generation as they're more into investing in assets that won't stress them and also can give them profits without having to wait years for the investment to grow.

As Bitcoin gets more popular, the adoption is inevitable and more investors will be investing in the currency which is why we're still early and it'll be ideal we seize that opportunity and accumulate Bitcoin. I don't see any other assets overtaking Bitcoin and cryptocurency investment anytime soon because the industry is constantly evolving/developing and new opportunities are been introduced into the industry that attract young investors to keep the market active. While most of them are not advisable to  participate in but still they're attracting new investors to the market which is a good thing overall.

Yes Dear, Your words are so true ... I mean the adoption of bitcoin by many country is on the way AFAIK El salvador has accepted bitcoin as its legal currency and i know you also may know this already. This thread and another thread which i shared In Bitcoin Discussion as news where Germany's fourth largest bank "Commerzbank" Granted Bitcoin Custody Licence proves your words correctly that adoption of bitcoin is getting fast day by day as an part of investment. These kinda news makes it more trustworthy investment all among those people who don't believe in its potential.

paper money is going away
Gen Z is all about technology, and this is their era. They could really benefit from the presence of technology, including cryptocurrency. I see the ease of access to cryptocurrency as a major reason why many people choose it as a more friendly investment model. Instead of diving into real estate business, it's better to try something easier and more realistic within a broader budget range.

If someone invests $10,000 in ETH and it goes to zero they will lose $10,000 worth of assets, but if they make $10,000 from here they will make $10,000 more wealth in a short time.
If you mean the price of ETH going to zero, that seems impossible. Even though ETH comes with some questionable decentralization features, it's still better than some other altcoins out there. A 100% increase is still possible as long as the crypto world is growing and BTC leads all cryptocurrencies.

With more than 8,000 individuals haven’t participated in the survey, it is a good enough number to consider it valid while focusing within that particular age grade of 36-50 range but, using it for a generalization on the entire France population, it’s hardly significant as this consists of various age grades as per below 36 and above 50 years of age. More over, the French population numbers about, 67.75 million persons of which, a survey of 8,000 is highly insignificant too.

On top of that, it’s a welcomed development and tells a lot on how the cryptocurrency industry has grown in France within its short life span and how much could be expected in years. Despite the lack of support from the government, the consensus of the people is all it needs and it’s getting it.

The data we get from the survey makes sense as young people understand technological terms more easily than old ones, whose brilliance can not justify something that they can not see. That is the reason old people want to invest more in physical objects than digital ones. Not only in France but also in the rest of the world we can see the same scenario. We are getting a generation of people who understand the technology and can support it for a few decades.

Crypto is more popular among young investors due to its volatility as well. They saw it as an opportunity to become rich quickly by ignoring the risks it posed. In the risk and reward ratio, the reward is so big that they just ignore the risk. If someone invests $10,000 in ETH and it goes to zero they will lose $10,000 worth of assets, but if they make $10,000 from here they will make $10,000 more wealth in a short time.
Another reason which may be fueling this interest in cryptocurrencies by the young is that if you take a look at anything else I get the impression that almost every other asset is massively inflated already, so an investor that understand this does not really have a lot of places where to invest their money other than this market, as even if the price of bitcoin is high, and it is bound to get higher during the upcoming bull run, if we really think long term its value is very low compared to the new heights that it could reach.

French teens' interest in cryptocurrencies shows they understand the digital age's financial environment. It's a determined effort toward diversification and innovation, not merely a fad. Cryptocurrencies offer liberty and growth that traditional investments may not. Crypto markets are volatile and unstable, so be aware. While promising, this investment should be balanced with more dependable possibilities. The French are actively establishing themselves in a growing financial industry, not just surfing a wave. Investing in cryptocurrency expands their portfolio and gives them exposure in a growing field. In the ever-changing investment environment, their excitement and prudence are promising.

Surveying young people is very effective in illustrating the future development of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency. They still have a longer chance of living (in theory), they also have a lot of innovation in determining the direction of their investment and other uses of Bitcoin as a means of exchange for goods and services.
The majority of young people really like Bitcoin because it is considered to make it easier for them in many ways, Bitcoin also gives them the opportunity to change their lives for the better from the results obtained through investment. The minds of today's young people and those of people who lived before Bitcoin existed are very different in terms of investment, so it is very natural that the survey institute chose young people to see how Bitcoin will develop in the future.

As the need to earn money increases, the young generation is looking for many options. Cryptocurrency is the easiest and most accessible option to invest. For this reason, the young generation is investing in crypto with great participation. Young people investing in the future have great expectations, and they need to start somewhere to realize these expectations.

Since we are in the internet age and we are in an environment where it is easy to access information, the new generation is learning and investing in crypto.

In order to invest in real estate, you must have a capital above a certain amount. Many people do not have this capital, but there is no lower limit for investing in crypto. That's why cryptocurrency investments are increasing day by day.

As you said, if we conducted this survey in many different countries, the results would be generally the same.

Am so surprised to have seen France at the top of it with real estate then followed by cryptocurrency as their topmost investments, this is a sign that bitcoin is fast growing in the country and the people are accepting it use for their daily economy, in finance, or asset management, they are well performing with this two among the most recognized asset of an investment, there's no doubt that bitcoin is the reason why other cryptocurrencies are being included as an assets even though bitcoin still remains the most valuable one.

This survey looks interesting to me. The findings as well as the investment options provided made me a little curious. Crypto assets almost making it equal with the top choice which is real estate funds? And then there's also NFTs as the top 9 most popular investment option?

These are surprising to me, to say the least. And then I also cannot find precious metals and stones like gold and silver. There are also no jewelries. And to a country which attracted artists for centuries perhaps, and has abundance of artworks, and where the city of art is located, I didn't see artworks. Surely, NFT hasn't replaced it?

I think a lot of important input must be considered here. I believe that it also depends where you ask. I think if people live in cities, it is more likely that they have been in touch with crypto one way or another, like meet ups etc. But assuming that they really asked people in that age range randomly, around 10% is definitely realistic. In rural areas some other assets might be more dominant because of different lifestyles, like land and housing (real estate). But crypto is all over the place when I talk to people about investments. The times are over when people were shocked when you tell them that you are "one of these dudes who invest in shady Bitcoin".

I wonder how long it will take until banks actively advertise Bitcoin Cheesy

I would not be surprised with the result of the survey since the French government is all out supportive about the cryptocurrency development. Trading and hodling bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies are legal in their country, and this motivates more the young generation to seize every opportunity investment when it comes to crypto, most particularly bitcoin. Its a good thing about the French government as they never limit their people to only trust fiat, but trust in crypto as well as it could create more financial security in the future when their crypto investment has paid off.
The governments of the European Union countries are almost all positive about cryptocurrency. Therefore, in the EU, laws and other by-laws that are friendly to cryptocurrency have been partially adopted and are being adopted, and there is a moderate regulation of its circulation in these countries. So this is not entirely news both for France and for the EU countries as a whole. Also, young people have always been more interested in cryptocurrency than older generations. This means that over time, cryptocurrency will be more in demand and spread more throughout the world.

The survey has made it so easy for everyone who is in doubt about crypto, this currency accommodates both the younger generation and old folks but the thing is, the innovation is more important to young folks because they have more time here to exploit it more, when I hear about cryptocurrency, am never shocked about it because this digital currency has proven beyond what we except, yes in the survey as it stands after real estate the next is crypto, that's to say that cryptocurrency might dominate as time goes by, with this survey, I now understand that the media is not doing us much good, most of them give fake information about crypto in other to lessen individual interest in it.

We talked a little about this last week when I was chatting with a French friend of mine. He stated that he didn't see cryptocurrencies as an investment tool due to his beliefs and as the conversation went deeper I asked him different questions. Out of curiosity, I asked a few questions about what people in France think about cryptocurrencies in general. He also told me that there wasn't as much interest as in other countries of the world and that in France cryptocurrencies were an investment tool that was preferred only by young people and was not very common.

When I examine the survey here, I think of these two possibilities;

- My friend only expressed his own opinions and indirectly lied to me about this. Which I think is highly likely because he has lied several times before while we're talking.

- Another possibility is that I think the people who participated in this survey may coincidentally be more likely to be interested in cryptocurrencies. This is of course very unlikely but there is almost no possibility that this survey could have obtained data by asking questions to all French citizens. However, since the probability of this possibility occurring is very low I think the first possibility I mentioned may be more possible.

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
I will not be surprised at this survey that cryptocurrency is the second after real estate. This is because the youngsters have seen the bright future of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin as a better investment which is worth to generate profit for them in the long run and it is very easy to get started. Cryptocurrency is embraced by the youths because it is a digital currency and the world is becoming more digitalized everyday by day. I believe that in time to come cryptocurrency will even have more investors than real estate because both the poor and the rich can invest in it, but real estate is only for the rich. This shoes that the cryptocurrency adoption is growing rapidly in France.

Those who invest in cryptocurrency may be larger than those who invest in real estate, but I think that the amount of investment in real estate will in any case exceed investments in crypto. In the upcoming bull market, there will be a lot of people willing to invest in cryptocurrencies, but in a bear market, a decline will follow again and people’s interest in cryptocurrencies will subside again, everything repeats itself every time.

I think investing in crypto currency is popular not only in France but also in other countries of the world investing in Bitcoin is very popular and many people are accepting it freely.

Now that sounds like a country you’ll find different cryptocurrency trading stores and a country where you’ll get a lot of advise to invest in cryptocurrency. These statistics show how far we have come in the cryptocurrency sphere. Over time, I expect to see many other countries have really competitive stats on both crypto investments and crypto usage as a whole. Meanwhile, I’m not sure if it’s possible but isn’t there a way to get the stat of what cryptocurrency they invested in?

If this information isn't doctored and very accurate, then I can say that here in Africa that we have the young ones leading the cryptocurrency business and been the number one investment in the most of the countries is not really based on the increase number of unemployment but actual interest from individuals because if France where there is great employments numbers than some African countries that are limited with employment, then it's a great development in cryptocurrency.

While this is great, there should be a number of stats that shows how much some people have made in average from those years because I remember very well that in those numbers, the successful number of people that might made it out from last year to this year crypto investment will not be much because many of them know nothing about crypto volatility. In fact, many of them might have invested in altcoins and shit coins than bitcoin that is more d safer and less riskier.

I see Bitcoin forecasting as an investment and not for settling payments.
Most likely that's true - but I don't know if there is a survey that can be used as a reference to find out how many people use bitcoin as currency instead investment. This may not be a problem - but the bitcoin community and users will always be able to exploit bitcoin use cases whenever they want. Until today - bitcoin is just a payment alternative for me, it is not a major currency.

Therefore, you see downloads in the millions for platform applications and limited use of Bitcoin. Also, investing in Bitcoin, even if it is good, is not possible for us to know the real numbers, and the best we will find are approximate numbers from the tax data. Otherwise, some may try to say that it is He invests in Bitcoin to appear as if he is an educated person or knows modern investment trends.
We should not be surprised to find that bitcoin is mostly used for investment rather than as a means of payment. However, bitcoin adoption will continue to grow over time, especially if more and more countries are willing to legalize bitcoin as legal tender. It will take some time for many states to legalize it - but it will continue to grow as expected.

By visualizing the benefits of cryptocurrency young generation are accepting it more and more because everyone want to earn more and have better lifestyle. People from age of 25 realize well about earning and taking responsibilities therefore these youngsters keep checking a beneficial opportunity which offer them huge profit so cryptocurrency is the only way that can make their dreams true.

As millions of people are crypto users in France so may be in recent years it get permission to be use all over the world because no one can hide the good features of bitcoin. If youngsters are accepting bitcoin now with greater interest so it means that teenagers will be a part of cryptocurrency in a generation after us. Due to greater importance of bitcoin people are going to accept it and also in those countries where there is no use of bitcoin will soon follow the reason of success from other countries.

I still think that it is a very equally balanced one but we should add in NFT with crypto too, maybe they are not coins but they are still in the crypto world, which means if you add 9.4 with 2.8, you get 13.2, and make it the biggest investment they have.

I mean surely NFT is not the same as investing into bitcoin, but getting ape nft or ape token is the same thing in the end and they are both crypto to me. This is why I believe that young people of France are investing into crypto more than anything else. This is a good indicator for the future, it should be noted that we are going to see more and more from other nations as well and eventually every nation in the world will have these type of rates on their young people.
Balanced? Hmm, but there is already a statistic laid in the first post, and we can clearly see their differences in terms of popularity or demand from the public. There are some who are very close but I never see anyone there who are " equally balanced ".

There is already NFT but they are separated with crypto, despite being on the same niche. This post is impressive for crypto or to its fans, but we are not sure if this will continue like this or it'll increase more because I'm also open to the possibility that it will decline. We shouldn't be sad though, because like you said, there are still other countries out there who might have a statistic like this.

We are all the pieces of what we remember.
The survey looks legit and it is also quite surprising to see the results of the survey that crypto assets are in second place after property investment, but it says crypto not Bitcoin that they invest in other coins besides Bitcoin, and more of these coins were created only for the benefit of developers and we know how many scammers there are in the crypto world, this good development should also be followed by regulations from the government to reduce the movement of scammers who are always ready with new methods to cheat, but I am happy to see how young people are very interested in crypto and hopefully that will also happen in my country.

You cannot expect people to only invest in bitcoin and ignore altcoins, bitcoin is dominating the cryptocurrency market but the remaining 50% is the altcoin market. Bitcoin is the best and safest investment in the market but there is nothing wrong if someone does not choose bitcoin but chooses altcoins. Each person has a different investment perspective and mindset, if someone has little capital and is willing to accept risks to receive high profits. Investing in altcoins is more suitable for them. This survey covers the entire cryptocurrency industry, but if we talk specifically about bitcoin, I think the results will be different.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
I always believe that cryptocurrency is becoming one of the most popular investments not only in France, but all over the world.
People are looking at it as a place to put their cash, and knowing that holding cash is quite useless because of inflation, some rather invest it, and it's kind of expected for me that the top 2 assets where they want to invest their money is thru real estate and cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrency are becoming more, and more popular maybe because of how much profit it can give to those who are investing in it. I mean volatility attracts many investors. Volatility, I believe is the main reason why many people are investing in it. The fact that you can gain way more compared to the stock market, and even in real estate is the reason why they're opting for it, but on the other hand, volatility can make your money lose quicker than other assets.

The adoption of cryptocurrencies is going higher, and higher, and I will not be surprised if in the next 5-10 years, people around the world will invest into it as well.

I see Bitcoin forecasting as an investment and not for settling payments.

Same as this we can see the rest of the world through proper awareness. Being one among the first world country makes it easy achievable. The young generation are much connected and they have got access to learn and know better about technology. Few more countries will have the similar results if surveys were taken. In third world countries people get into it without proper understanding and the same could turn against them losing their investment. This is the problem why we don't see much of investment preference from the third world countries towards cryptocurrency.

Some third-world countries also have a very high adoption of crypto.
I've looked at the charts and a lot of developing countries are doing well when it comes to crypto adoption if the reports are to be believed. The reason a lot of them go into crypto is because they have found an alternative. They live in countries where there is a high rate of unemployment and a high rate of inflation, so in their quest to break out the circle of poverty, they go into crypto.

Looking at that chart OP posted, it just got me thinking. A decade ago, many young people didn't have investments. This was because the investments were expensive and you have to have saved a lot of money before you can go into them, plus they were complicated. That is why it was mostly older people who had financial investments.
Today a lot young people have the opportunity to own an investment thanks to crypto.

I believe with time, crypto would top Real estate as the most invested asset in France,  in addition to the whole world if the survey should be conducted globally.

It is not two decades, since crypto came into existence, and it is topping some of the investment assets that have stayed for a long. It feels so good to know, that even the most topped investment(real estate) is just a few percent (1.3%) above it when compared with others that fall below.

I am much expectant of this to happen to other countries that would make crypto legal in their country. I don't think there will be any country where its citizens would know the importance of having crypto as another investment tool that won't have a good number of them investing in it

According to the recent Survey it comes to know that cryptocurrency is the second most popular Investment in the France. This Report was published on 13 November.

According to this survey, the second higher propensity among the youngsters is cryptocurrency investment with the ratio of 9.4%. The majority of the investors are men with the ratio of 64% and from these most of the investors are youngsters. Their age very between 36 to 50 Years. In this ratio 54% people holds crypto-assets. source

Without a doubt it is an interesting survey, however it is also important to be careful how we interpret the data, while the popularity of cryptocurrencies seems to be increasing and a higher number of people are investing in them, this does not mean that a proportional amount of money is coming to this market, as they could be investing just a small portion of their savings here in order to diversify their portfolios, while the rest goes towards other investments.

I would have be surprised if the results was not the way it is. There is a rapidly growing popularity about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. If you ask me, I'll tell you that the demography that is solely responsible for this is the young one, - the millennials and the gen z. I propose that this survey should be done in 5other European cities and you'd be surprised that the outcome will still be that Bitcoin investment remains the most popular among younger people.
The current younger generation or millennial generation and generation z have found it easier to get information about Bitcoin, so there are many of them who like Bitcoin and have also made the decision to become cryptocurrency investors. Those who often like Bitcoin and invest through Bitcoin also have a very good influence there so I wouldn't be surprised if research on cryptocurrency investment would focus more on Bitcoin in parts of Europe there.

You do got a solid point on which im really that agreeing upon because of the current era that we do have today on which information could really be easily be exposed or would really be passed up then it wont really be that shocking that it would really be that so easy to scatter out when it comes to those things and its true that oldies wont really be giving a damn interest into something that they arent aware of. Some might really be that open minded to welcome some new things or innovations but most of them would really be sticking into the things on which they are really that knowing or simply sticking on which they do know that it is really that legit or something that they've been get used to and doesnt welcome with those new things that surface around but well its their choice.

Making up some survey on specific targets then of course you could really expect that young people would really be having that kind of approach on which cryptocurrency would really be indeed
neither be first or second of their priority on engaging into. We cant really deny that when it comes to profits or returns then this one wont really be that a bad choice
either. It is really just that a matter of risks taking on what are the things that you would gonna do on the time that you would really be dealing
with it.

Today's young generation is more exposed to the digital world and they will also look for anything that will provide better income through Digital.

Crypto is one of the best for investment, young people who enter and learn about crypto realize that this is their chance to be able to make a lot of money easily without building a big business.

Surveys like this open our eyes to how the development of Bitcoin and crypto is increasingly in demand.
Even those who are retired and only receive their retirement salary are starting to turn to crypto and buy some Bitcoin assets for their long-term investment.

Bitcoin and crypto now cover all circles and are one of the most popular investment platforms in any part of the world.

France has been open to cryptocurrency for a long time, so I'm not surprised by that, to be honest. But it's still a good step they took; it just means that cryptocurrencies are so highly regarded, and France probably also saw the good it brings to their subjects and their country.

I hope all countries will be like this, as France did. Just think that most people who live in a country have a deep idea about cryptocurrency. I am pretty sure that it will greatly reduce the average percentage of unemployment.

No surprise there really, crypto is a much more accessible investment option for a younger audience compared to others afaik (and in my experience as well), heck even younger than the ratio here of 36. It's also probably why it's so prone to scams and people telling not to get into it since it's described as a "scam" by others. Simply because it's much more tackled/discussed in a lot of settings compared to others in a much broader range. It also doesn't help that you need a certain amount of level of income to even enter other types of investments like real estate.

Afaik there's that possibility where you co-invest with others, but heck, I hardly doubt people would even know of it in the first place compared to crypto which has already reached out to a big audience.

This is a legitimate move from them. Knowing how hard it is to penetrate the traditional asset classes when it comes to investments nowadays, spearheading into cryptocurrencies and making it big on the said realm is the best move. Good to see that there are youths that are already involved in investments as early as now and not every youth is destined to be mindlessly consuming media in every form.

Though of course, they should use cryptocurrency investments to break through the traditional assets as well. This is to ensure that they have diversified their assets and that they also have investments that can easily be accepted by a lot of people.

I'm not really surprised by the results of these statistical data, well we all know that cryptocurrencies are really attracting the world's attention at the moment, many young people understand cryptocurrencies better than stocks or other investments such as property and so on. Francis is one of the countries that has young people with good thinking, so they will definitely prefer investing in cryptocurrencies. Apart from that, the financial literacy of Francis' young people is quite good, hopefully more and more young people around the world will invest in Bitcoin and altcoins.

Cryptocurrency is a lifeboat for people trying to protect their purchasing power & beat inflation. More & more people will turn to cryptocurrency as time passes, we are early.
This only means that many already trust cryptocurrency and many are now knowledgeable about it.
This is a good sign actually and yes most probably many want to control their own money now and they already knew where to put their money. Hoping that my country will also adapt and use cryptocurrency as one of a good investment to date, cryptocurrency is growing more as expected.

Makes me wonder how the crypto scene stacks up in other parts of Europe.  I know crypto is a big deal in the US, but I'd be curious to know if France is ahead or behind the curve compared to places like Germany, Spain, etc and  have you seen any interesting comparisons between countries over there? The crypto wave definitely hits different regions in different ways.  It's always cool to see how much various cultures embrace (or don't embrace) new technologies like this.

Well it's not surprising that Crypto-currency is the second most popular investment, and that's because of the hype around crypto-currency many people thinks once you into crypto-currency investment you definitely get rich. I think the narrative is wrong and many are falling for the wrong coin to invest in.
All investment involves risks and crypto-currency investment is not different and it has lots of risk with scam projects, bad Altcoins and ignorance from the part of the buyers, Crypto-currency investment would keep on growing but I hope we have more aware newbies to limit their vulnerability to bad investments.

If you are a million then you can start to play the big league and diversity into real estate and other asset class that are less volatile

I haven't read the report (if there is an English version at all), but I wonder if it's good news that so many French people invest in cryptocurrencies, given that most of these investments are probably in altcoins, which are mostly pump&dump projects in which the invested money is very easily lost. I always say that I don't care what people do with their money (unless it hurts others around them), but I wonder how many of these people will find themselves in big financial problems in the future?

Problems can only mean one thing for all of us, and that is the imposition of some crazy rules and regulations, so you don't need to look at those numbers with so much enthusiasm, because it all looks like a double-edged sword to me.

You have shared a good piece of information and yeah the days are not so far, because the bull run is going to start so everyone is so bullish and wants to get benefit from the positive flow of the market or you can say it's just market sentiments that have shifted their interest toward cryptocurrency either if its BTC or Alts, both are gaining values.

But don't assume that things are here forever because if these people are taking an interest in crypto that's because they are seeing their profit in it but when the time of booking profit will come like when the BTC or Alts will be near to there new ATH. Then the market will come down and you will see the same level of down trend likewise the uptrend happening now.

What I think from this result first is that the French are very keen and also informed on investment. When I read this and saw cryptocurrency as the second most popular, my interest was immediately raised to see the investment choice that was first. Real Estate is good too, but I think that if this survey is carried out again in a couple of months, cryptocurrency would have overtaken and become the first choice. If this survey is carried out in many other countries, it will give a different result.

Source link doesn't work.

So, these statistics are generated based on interviews. The question is, how many respondents are there from the total population of France? I don't think 9% sums up the total number of French crypto investors, it's just the number of people interviewed.
Use this link https://www.amf-france.org/sites/institutionnel/files/private/2023-11/loe-54-ven.pdf. 8,456 people living in France responded to the survey and I guess it is a good number to get some valid findings. The research stated that 9% of the French population are holding crypto.

The number of youths embracing crypto investment is growing every day this is because it is easier and less cumbersome to invest in this sector. Unlike other investment, one don't need to go through any bureaucratic process to invest. I assume that the population will even be greater because many crypto investors would like to remain anonymous which might make them avoid the survey. In my country, I assume that 1 out of every 4 youth is involved in cryptocurrency because they are tech-savvy.

Yes, well, but the key thing you seem to point out but don't explicitly mention is that investing in crypto requires very little capital, especially compared to real estate investment. Young people can buy small amounts of cryptocurrencies from their mobile phones and many can't even dream of buying a house, as saving for the down payment alone takes years.

On the positive side, this is the beginning of an era where people are aware of what they are investing in. But it is important to note that some investors who decide to invest in crypto with all its risks require the younger generation in France to become more aware and more cautious. Not all types of cryptocurrencies are safe. But regardless, I believe that with the open-mindedness of young people, both in France and in any other country, they are now more aware of the existence of cryptocurrencies as a simple investment alternative, which does not require written requirements like investing in real estate. As for the dominance of Real Estate investment, it has always been the choice of the elderly because it is to support retirement.
Cryptocurrencies have widely discussed investment option, because their decentralized nature, and relative ease of access compared to traditional investment. The lack of stringent paperwork and regulatory requirements associated with cryptocurrency investments has also played a role, while real estate investment needs extensive documentation, legal processes, and background checks. Cryptocurrencies can be purchased and traded with minimal formalities. This has made them appealing to investors seeking a less complex and time-consuming investment experience.

But cryptocurrencies still have inherent risks and uncertainties. Their volatile nature, susceptibility to scams and hacks, and lack of intrinsic value compared to traditional assets like real estate demand careful consideration before investing. Investors should conduct thorough research and understand the risks involved, and only invest funds they can afford to lose. I dont think it's a good choice of the elderly to support retirement.

I think real estate will always be the primary investment that anyone could think, as young as 25, buying a house is already in their mind. But them adding crypto to their portfolio, it encourages the readers.

What about the adoption of crypto in the country?
This should be proportion to the survey result because it doesn't make sense when crypto is 2nd most popular investment yet the adoption is not at the local level where people can casually get coins from ATMs or use them to purchase something.

Source link doesn't work.

So, these statistics are generated based on interviews. The question is, how many respondents are there from the total population of France? I don't think 9% sums up the total number of French crypto investors, it's just the number of people interviewed.

It's encouraging for sure! Especially in the world where multiple countries are still confused about cryptocurrency, France is showing the way. I wonder if the other countries will consider having a legal framework around Bitcoin. It will not only help the government to get more taxes but also open new ways for job creation. The benefits are multifold.

The issue with not having a legal framework is that the scammers become active in this space and misguide people in the name of cryptocurrency investment.

This Is probably a very good decision of young generation to adopt the cryptocurrency assets as part of investment. The propensity of cryptocurrency as an investment is increasing day by day. Well, i think those days are not so far when everybody will talk about "investment in cryptocurrency."

This is good statistics, and the percentage of the cryptocurrency investors is showing how interesting this generation about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I hope most of them have knowledge and know the risks involves in cryptocurrency investment, because it is not a physical investment that will be seen and monitored physically.
I hope they are not driven by FOMO, all in the name of making a way to have quick money since so many people are saying that cryptocurrency investment can earn you money quick.

Altcoins are not reliable, I wish they invested most of their money in Bitcoin instead of altcoin that may fail anytime.

The legitimacy of the survey says it all cryptocurrency is a young generational asset thus in my perspective it going to gain full maturity in the use case with the next generation behind us. I think those that assume they are coming late into bitcoin essentially needs to read this and contrast it to the next generation that will be adopting bitcoin what would be said of them if the people adopting today are complaining of arriving late.

It's only an issue of time that cryptocurrency will surpasses real estate that's at that top of the chart with 10.7%. I am one of those bitcoin/crypto maximalist who undoubtedly believe that there's a bright future for bitcoin and it's users, keep hodling.
