Monero - CPU mineable.

I have tried monero CPU mining using i5 CPU core at minergate and didn't get any yields. What's wrong?

It takes a moment (few days) for your mining to get confirmed. Once confirmed, you will see your earnings in XMR wallet.

Minergate is what's wrong.

If your home PC has a strong CPU, you could consider to mine XMR, and Burst coin. Burst coin is Proof of Capacity so you need some large capacity HDDs or external storages, I suggest at least 15Tb.

If you could provide us with specs of your computer, it would be easier to give you a good answer.

I am with i7 7700k & Radeon RX 480 8GB. What would your advice be for me?  Smiley

ETH, ETC or XMR for you hardware.

If you're looking to use both the CPU and GPU to mine I'd say XMR and ETH or ETN for now. As with cased computers make sure all components are getting properly cooled. Dust can increase temps inside by a lot.

Which do you think is the most easy-minable (but of course promising) cryptocurrency?

"Home PC" is pretty broad term

And so is "promising"

Electroneum is also a fun one to mine. I'm currently mining it with my extra CPU cores.

I've also heard good things about Aeon
