Why did Google ban crypto mining apps?

Nature of operation (akin to malware). Plus, there are a gazillion "miners" that might not even pay.

It's possible but not profitable, hence no crypto enthusiast are doing this kind of mining, Sorry to tell you that. There are other ways to make coins though, you can just invest and let it sit in your wallet, easy as that.

Back then I say it's good and profitable, but not today because old model phone doesn't have the capability to support new coins algorithms, to say the least.

Hello,

I would like to try mining cryptocurrency with some of my unussed smartphones. As far as I know, Google have officially banned all crypto mining apps from Google play: https://reviewedbypro.com/cryptocurrency-mining-apps-are-officially-banned-from-google-play/). Where did you get secure apps for mining on smartphones. I am asking because I am afraid to infect my smartphones with viruses.

Thank you Smiley
I think , mining using mobile phone is not used because of the memory of a certain smartphone is too low for mining cryptocurrencies. It will need more memory because it mines continously and the battery capacity of mobile phones is not enough. Mining cryptocurrencies is for desktop only and i did not see anything or anyone that mines in mobile phones.

Have never tried mining with a phone. Can you do it with your own phone you use daily? Will it slow the phone down too much? Sorry, not really familiar with mobile phone mining.

No, if you use your phone to mine coins, it will be very slow. Because it uses all resource for mining. And my advice is never try to mine coins by mobile phone. Because you will probably not earn enough money to buy new phone from mining.

You use the unused phones to mining. Why do you care about virus? You can take it to phone service shop to check it. Or simply download an antivirus app to scan it.

Yes, the same point. If you use them just for mining, then no worries.
