If I am not mistaking, most modern education facilities do not offer any financial education at all. And I am not talking about Economics 101, I am talking about education relating day to day money handling, small investments, budget ballancing etc. So seeing we don't have even that, I don't think we can expect crypto adoption in our education systems. Not right now.
Perhaps, the school never teaches us how to create and run a business but it just only teaches us how to find a job. That probably if everyone will know crypto and make this as a job, trading, investing, and etc...this will affect the economic growth of the country. I hope they could see this and have an open mindset. I could say they are selfish if they don't adopt and educate their students about this.
There is a need to change the education system if they want to help the community and that is supposed a part of their job.

Bitcoin is GOD
I don't know if this topic is already tackled but I want to know your random opinions.
...
[/b]For me it will be advantage for every students ....
...
For me ...

Well, not bad ideas, but there is a difference between your random thoughts and what is going to happen. I don't know if any crypto-friendly country like El Salvador is going to start teaching about cryptocurrencies in schools but in the vast majority of countries they are not. Forget about it. A lot of time will have to pass and a lot will have to change before primary school curricula will include those contents.

Basically this, something like what the OP is proposing will require not only for a government to be friendly to bitcoin now but also the commitment from the government for this to be the case for the long term so there was no expectation at all they could reverse course.

And this is unlikely, it is almost impossible to teach why bitcoin is a great option while simultaneously not show why fiat is inferior compared to bitcoin, and right now governments do what they can to not teach the very basics of how the fiat economy works, so I doubt they will be willing to do this as they will be encouraging those students to adopt bitcoin instead of fiat.

Not only bitcoin, but financial education should be a must in every schools. Sadly I have never been taught at school anything regards this basic matter like most people around. And that is why we have a society of people going into debt, without any control over their finances, spending more than they earn.

If investments options, including bitcoin, were introduced to kids at schools through math lessons we would have a lot more people thriving financially, consequently decreasing the volume of social issues that keep increasing in alarming rates.

Collage would be the best place to learn and practice it. Students at the 15 to 17 years, are open and matured enough to analyze and pick what is best around them. So yes crypto currencies and its technologies and the opportunities available in crypto should be taught during their collage days. I am sure in few years down the line, it would part of syllabus or a separate course to study. would be matured enough to think of their future career.

It is a good proposal that cryptocurrency should be adapted in the school syllabus especially on the college level. It will enable the students to participate in home economics and train hemselves for earning. This will be a kind of professional education. which will not only provide them an opportunity to earn but also as a positive activity. particularly, young generation and women are eager to find such kind of job and learning opportunity that can add their family income.

Yes, I agree with your idea. It should (Or I can say must) be adopted by the schools. But due to lack of knowledge, lots of people consider it a scam. Proper planning and litigation are mandatory for making it live for this level. Also, it may take a long time period for everyone to adopt it. Though we are living in modern ERA thoughts of people are still stereotyped.

If there is one thing that is guaranteed, that is change. Change in a way that people are forced to adopt into a situation that will cater better to a certain aspect. Just to give you an example, when the pandemic hit, most businesses were caught off-guard and lots of them were not able to adjust on time which resulted to thousands to millions of dollars of loss. Cryptocurrencies, on the other hand, is believed to be the future of transactions in the near future.

Adopting cryptocurrency lessons and teachings onto schools can definitely be beneficial in the long run. But the problem that I see is the implementation since there are still countries who avoid transacting with such.
Well, i guess no schools would ever want to include crypto in their curriculum as long as the government does not allow it since it is not yet legalized and adopted. But for some countries who have been adopting crypto already, then you can expect that in the near future crypto will be included already in their school's curriculum as to aware students at their young age about crypto and how it is being beneficial in one's economy or let's say country's economy. And to think that is the future global currency, then its much more essential to be taught in schools so that students will be educated about crypto and not just on fiat alone.

Yes,
Crypto is bigger than that. You can't learn everything about crypto currencies in one semester. There should be colleges that devoted themselves to teach about crypto.

Crypto is a profession now. Like being a doctor. o taking a few crypto classes won't suffice. You need at least 4, maybe 5 years of education to learn everything about crypto. (that won't be enough neither probably)

When you graduate from the crypto school, you'll be a cryptomaster that's able to code his/her own crypto currency under a few hours.

I can already see this happening.

Whole night I am thinking about this reading all your opinions in different perspective there's a negative and positive feedback about this. But I agree with you if school adopt Cryptocurrencies it must be a professional courses 4-5 years of study to become a cryptomaster. In Additional it's a beneficial to us to have a Bitcoin course cause we are now living in a modern world that are full of new things.

He's right cryptocurrency is not something you go learn in four or six months, cryptocurrency is broad with different area to learn . Cryptocurrency is not just about trading there are different aspect in cryptocurrency like the cryptocurrency technology and many more.

I believe learning is a continous process so incorporating cryptocurrency one of the newest and advanced technology into the educational system at an early stage/ age in schools or colleges will definitely help students to develop knowledge and interest about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

it mean there is another person who learn deep inside, then developing, creating new branch for crypto, and more specific.

Cryptocurrencies, IMO, should remain entangled on some economics and finance majors, and not be taught on all degrees/programs.
agree. as far as i know, people will learn something new, faster, if they attract about what is it. and some school can give this knowledge but just for what crypto is. and people will find where to go if they want to learn it

I think that parents should also be educated, if we talk about schools at university level it is different.
In what ways do you think can be an effective way to educate parents? In my opinion, educating parents will be more difficult than educating students. Students are mostly curious about something new and they can adapt well to technology. While parents are usually a bit hard to accept something new, they tend to avoid something speculative like crypto. Moreover, crypto isn't legal in all countries. They may think crypto is not a good thing.

What happens if Bitcoins will be adapt in schools especially in college level?
More people will know about it, more people will know how it works, more people will start using it. This in return will help crypto currencies to become mainstream.

About being hacked, I think it's important for students to study about how to avoid getting hacked, learning the different attacks of hackers through the internet, it's mandatory for schools to teach that as technology and social media continues to rise, hackers will never stop, so this is an actual way on educating the students on how to take care of their accounts better.
^ I like this idea, learn on cryptocurrency and avoid the possible hacks is that just a problem, this will not give a negative PR to the BTC and the cryptocurrencies itself so that people who want to have this asset will totally be protected. If ever this will be adopted on school soon, there should be a restriction that users should not be going to gamble, invest and staking or trading because that is risky, the best one is they know how to protect their against from the theft. Though this is not I think mandatory but at least it is always helpful to know while at easily estage.

That's nice, but since these students are still learning, I don't think that these institutes are actually encouraging students to learn how to trade or do such activities at an early age but rather educating them early so that they have decent knowledge about crypto and how it works, then probably study a brief history on how even Bitcoin and cryptocurrency started from the bottom.

Giving good education for young minds about cryptocurrency and how it works is a good thing to include in colleges curriculum knowing this will bring good future for them since digital technology continues to arise. But not literally that teachers should teach them how to trade successfully, maybe just an overview of a good trading can help students to sort it out in the future.

However, as technology arises, there are more scammers and hackers too have become visible and in order to stop this, then there should be no more fools to easily believe in what is too good to be true offers. If all people have become educated about this, then scamming may not be totally stop but it can be somehow lessen or minimized.
The anticipation of such a possible scenario, I guess that should be talked about and explained during their discussion. Being bold and close discussion towards crypto makes these young minds fully understand cryptocurrency and it helps to stop them from thinking negatively. And in fact, this is one reason why it should have to be taught and become a part of the curriculum for it will eliminate doubts and uncertainty. For they were clearly absurd the goodness and benefits of crypto, that could enlighten their mind and that also easier for them to teach others even their parents. Such a stepping stone to help spread information about crypto.

I can't say that I agree with you. I do believe that the time to introduce cryptocurrency in the study of economics is here. I think it would be an important aspect of modern economics that should be teached. It is almost like computer science and programming. In the 70\80s, there was no education program but considering that computing was the next logical step in human technical development it had to be disseminated and learning programs had to be developed and introduced in schools. This would help this new science to get into common knowledge. I guess with crypto, we will probably see the same as you cannot dissociate the IoT or even the metaverse from cryptos, and tokenization.

Acceptance and dissemination of knowledge of the field in educational settings remains a barrier. Because of the country-wide constraints on the righteous industry that make it unpopular, where I live I've heard of some universities accepting bitcoin as payment, but that's all relevant news that I heard with it. I have yet to see any related professions applied in schools, perhaps the less developed places will still take a long time to access bitcoin.

For sure it’s possible for schools to teach their students about Bitcoin, but this is going to be in countries where Bitcoin is legal and not in places where it has been banned by the government. Because, if it is in a place where it has been banned, then anyone talking about it or teaching students about it is likely going to be having a problem with the government if they should find out about it.

As for countries where Bitcoin is legal, it wouldn't be bad for teachers to talk about it and explain what it is all about to their students and also encourage them to be part of it in future or now. And I strongly believe that there are lots of subjects or courses in schools where Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole can easily fit in and be talked about.
Actually there are already schools or universities which does have included crypto into their curriculum but of course it wouldnt only be just talking mainly with Bitcoin but rather they would be emphasizing about blockchain technology.

Somehow if they wont really be that focusing that much with bitcoin well it doesnt matter because students would really be normally be heading
on where it do originated from and its inevitable for it not to be discussed or mentioned out.

So its up to them if they would go further and thats still a good news.
They are more on talking about blockchain technology and how it become useful these days but a little touch to cryptocurrency. I guess they are teaching step by step just to clearly understand how crypto works. Well, I like the idea for that and yet, we can't just rely on what we have learned from school as I know they are more ideas and information we've found on the internet coming from the most experienced individuals.

Having it part of the curriculum obviously gives a wide spread of information and so the adoption will follow as this has been guided and something to verify that this it really exist, not a scam that many people had think.

Cryptocurrencies, IMO, should remain entangled on some economics and finance majors, and not be taught on all degrees/programs. While the intention is good, I don't think cryptocurrencies are that important to everyone right now, considering that some other key skills in adulting like filing taxes, 401ks, mortgages, basic investments, and all that stuff are still yet to be taught on higher education. The youth will learn more of these outside school as this generation is more inquisitive and tech savvy more than ever (although I have to admit that a lot are still, well, naive.)

For parents to know about cryptocurrencies would help to save for their children's future. Education about cryptocurrencies is a tool to prevent scams, because with the knowledge you can investigate the origin of some cryptocurrency. Recently many people were scammed with squid and many bought it but others investigated and found out it was a scam.
Definitely the blockchain is a technology that came to stay and at some point everything will be done through it, it is good that the new generations have knowledge.

What happens if Bitcoins will be adapt in schools especially in college level?
Some countries are already working on school programs to add info about cryptos and blockchain, and I think lots of universities is many countries have at least some courses about it. As for scams, I think it's a big part that school education (at least, in my country) misses because we weren't told anything about scam, and people fall for scam very often in my country. But this should cover various schemes and not be limited to crypto cases.
What are the best for beginners between  Hodl and invest?
As for hodl and invest, I'm not sure which difference you're talking about because people invest in Bitcoin and then hodl, awaiting profits. And simply buying something and waiting is easier for beginners than trading, which requires more effort.

I don't think that teaching cryptocurrency as its own subject is a good idea, not because in it self its is bad but because it kind limits the use of the blockchain technology to the financial and currency use of it, i feel like blockchain technology is the future and teaching its concepts and its advantages can create a new vision to how people view and do things in the future in many sectors, blockchain could be used for smart contracts and other things, and cryptocurrency is just an example and for us to take advantage of it we have to look to expand beyond that and create new ways to use it and by teaching young people about it will help do that.
Even if crypto is a good example to complement the main topic such as blockchain technology, the idea will not be exploited as a learning program in schools because the core and original environment is still the place where the school is most focused, there can be a lot of refinement and correction of the annual presentations but the original parts are kept and new topics are rarely added, they are afraid that students will have weird ideas and then abandon the class. Blockchain and crypto are still technologies outside of schools, automatic and adaptive are new skills that students will learn after completing all the courses in school

appropriate or not depends on the regulations in the government. Indeed, many apply cryptocurrency in the school curriculum, but it is only limited to basic knowledge and is in the economics curriculum.
Cryptocurrency and Blockchain are future technologies that must be learned from an early age so that students know and can adapt well.

In some developing countries the cryptocurrency curriculum is still a foreign curriculum and some of them are still unfamiliar with cryptocurrency.

many things will happen if bitcoin enters college in my opinion , especially in the IT and computer fields .

Does the government allow Bitcoin to be handled in schools?

maybe yes, maybe not depending on which country adopts bitcoin as a means of payment, but  it doesn't exist in my country and maybe there will never be payments using bitcoin

Regardless that government controls both primary level, secondary level and tertiary Level in educational systems of education, it's not quite clear that government will give cryptocurrency especially bitcoin to be part of school curriculum, because from my views it's obvious that it's a few government of a country that can accept cryptocurrency especially bitcoin to be one of their educational calendar or course in all ramifications of educational standard. I think it will be very difficult to implement such Generally.

I think that's not a bad idea. Students can have additional knowledge which is also able to increase their pocket money, so that it can be used as a side job while they are in school. Especially in the long term, this is also a good thing, some students may already be talented in investing so that having cryptocurrency in school can help them develop their talents to become investors. Successful and accomplished Bitcoin investors can certainly emerge with the existence of a crypto curriculum in schools.

Unfortunately, not all schools have even Economics as the subject. The government is not interested in making their people financial free as they will not have tools to manipulate people then, so they don't want to have us aware of investment. On the other hand, if countries adapt crypto as a national currency, they will have to teach people how to use it.

I guess almost all school teach economics, but a different kind of economics. There are various forms for economies to be operated and depending on what the government wants their education system to teach people, they will put in on the agenda. Certainly in countries where power over the people is crucial to the government, Bitcoin will probably not be part of that agenda.

I don't know if this topic is already tackled but I want to know your random opinions.

Quote
What happens if Bitcoins will be adapt in schools especially in college level?
  • If it does get adopted in schools for such it will be great for the people wanting to get into this industry and would also be a great thing for this industry as a whole since it will spread balanced awareness about crypto currencies instead of biased opinions or lies. The thing is though, is that just as how much investment topics are mostly found on seminars, topics about cryptocurrencies are in the same table. Both can be talked about in and outside of schools from time to time but not something that schools would consider vital for courses (YET). So I wouldn't bank on that happening any time soon.

Quote
What are the best for beginners between  Hodl and invest?
  • Both go hand in hand. Only having one won't give anyone gains. Because when you invest, you will have to hodl and hodl is hodl regardless of how long or how short the duration of doing it is. Same goes with hodling, you cannot hodl if you do not invest time, effort or money. Bottom line is that if you are a beginner, better focus in gaining as much knowledge as possible about your desired endeavour(s) then acquire needed wisdom in how to apply the knowledge you have gained. I don't care how rich or how poor you are, if you lack knowledge and wisdom in anything you want to get yourself into, you are bound to lose. So beginners, invest on knowledge and wisdom and hodl the necessary.

Quote
Does the government allows Bitcoin to be tackle in school?
  • The government, at least here in my country is quite neutral about talks regarding crypto currencies at the moment. But to put it into curriculums in schools is a different story, while some may agree, most will disagree since this industry is still early and consists lots of conspiracies and variables that heightens risks. And yes, just as what I have mentioned on the first question, it is the same as investing topics on seminars. Not to mention the required resources to make this possible; both human and technological which is certainly not something my country right now can provide nor afford.

Quote
Does Education in Cryptocurrencies is the best way to avoid being scam?
  • Of course it is. It is pretty obvious that you need knowledge and wisdom in anything you want to get yourself into to avoid always getting fcked all the time and win more instead. To succeed and excel in any chosen field of interest and endeavour of yours, you need to be resourceful. If you cannot find what you are looking for from one source, get it from another. Do not rely on just one source and be done with it, this is what makes people lose the chance to gain vital knowledge most of the time since they tend to close their minds to other possibilities just because of the norm. (Relying to much on knowledge provided by schools)

 - Only positive thing I see in cryptocurrencies being added in school curriculums are ease of access to fundamentals and publicity for this industry. Which are evidently something we all can live without since with a little effort, you can find good knowledge either paid or for free and in regards to publicity, we are already getting a good enough amount at the moment with all the ETFs and more.

I agree that cryptocurrency must be just another application of blockchain technology and this way schools and universities must adopt first blockchain technology into their curriculum and may have cryptocurrencies as one of the usecase of blockchain technology in real life.

Blockchain is a very complex subject matter compared to cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency can be introduced on economics while blockchain requires a special subject dedicated for it since its a new technology which requires advance knowledge on coding. I understand what you guys is trying to describe on your statement but take note that the person who will gonna introduce this was a student without a prior knowledge to Cryptospace. It will be a mind blown subject for them if a teacher suddenly introduced blockchain and its function while they don't have foundation on what it was use for.

I don't think that teaching cryptocurrency as its own subject is a good idea, not because in it self its is bad but because it kind limits the use of the blockchain technology to the financial and currency use of it
I agree that cryptocurrency must be just another application of blockchain technology and this way schools and universities must adopt first blockchain technology into their curriculum and may have cryptocurrencies as one of the usecase of blockchain technology in real life.

teaching its concepts and its advantages can create a new vision to how people view and do things in the future in many sectors
Yeah, if we need more revolution out of blockchain technology then we must take it to more people which is easily possible if schools and universities include blockchain technology in to their curriculum.

I am seeing in my country there are already lots of courses (both online and offline) are being advertised and I remember some universities already started providing certification based courses as well. So, I guess we are on right path toward the next level of revolution of blockchain technology.

What happens if Bitcoins will be adapt in schools especially in college level?

I usually say this when I read stuff using bitcoin to spend Why to spend bitcoin when you can play with bitcoin to earn more?. Still, Lets get to the point wthich I am going to answer this. Its simply growth in the economy on the share holder of the school.

Which there are 2 things they do to earn more and more which the simple answer is a trade that you should have done instead of spending for the school. Your simple feed them instead of your own they may feed you or your son/daughter knowledge but your losing you money

let me start with investment and Hodl is said not the same but...

For me Investing is kinda holding you bitcoin too in some sort but dont bother to explain. For me specifically when your HODL you waiting for it, the value to increase which here's comes the ROI return of income, or I would define my invest investments. To simply put holding is just a strategy called investment strategy.

Does the government allows Bitcoin to be tackle in school?

In some governments do and some dont which they saw as a treat, in my opinion. Proudly to say which amaze me there are some who probably adopt the trend of bitcoin or specifically the cryptocurrency.
like the previous replies, the source is given already so to shortly answer this is a yes

Fun fact if you did not know there is a country their Government adapt the idea of cryptocurrency making their own altcoin or rather there own coin.

The idea is good, but are there any systematic theoretical and practical courses now? If so, it depends on whether the country’s policy allows it. If it is a blockchain technology course, many universities should have related courses. If it is a digital currency, I don't think there will be many.

Unfortunately, not all schools have even Economics as the subject. The government is not interested in making their people financial free as they will not have tools to manipulate people then, so they don't want to have us aware of investment. On the other hand, if countries adapt crypto as a national currency, they will have to teach people how to use it.

schools/colleges struggle to actually go into convincing detail about the fiat economy.

highschool level does not go into detail about credit cards. does not tell students that credit cards should only be used for emergency expense.
even now people have thought credit cards are to get "free money" where they can go on spending spree's and worry about repayment later.

many students dont even know that money is not backed by gold/silver anymore

many students dont know that the national debt is not actually the citizens getting themselves in debt but the government borrowing without consent and then leaving citizens to be taxed later on at higher rates to repay government mistakes

..
so if you are thinking schools/college will go into the fine details of crypto economics.. you are wrong. if anything it will just be an IT side project much like learning about blockchain database formats like students learn about using microsoft access macro's

Of course, teaching Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in schools and universities will be of great benefit to society in general, it will help young students to understand cryptocurrencies in a correct way and will also teach them the correct investment methods and avoid the methods followed by scammers and other wonderful things, but this will never happen unless Global adoption of bitcoin by governments, if governments do not officially adopt bitcoin and cryptocurrencies there cannot be any kind of education in universities and institutes for students about these things, on the contrary, they will instill in their mind fear of cryptocurrencies and hear them a lot of bad things about it like it is They carry a high risk, are highly volatile and are used for money laundering.

Maybe the schools or the college teaching the technology behind cryptocurrency which is the blockchain instead of teaching them about the cryptocurrency.
So no matter if the government are not doing an adoption with cryptocurrency, the blockhcain system is already taught at the class so the future generation maybe could create a new system that can compete cryptocurrency with more efficient and safer security than cryptocurrency right now.

It's too early to say school adding Bitcoin or cryptocurrency to the curriculum but maybe they will just insert bits it on economics class. It's only in college that I learn investing and that HODL term was not among that was taught Grin but most probably in computer-related classes, there will be blockchain programming which may include the languages like Solidarity.

If adoption really will spread which in every transaction locally is done through crypto, ED will make it mandatory for each to learn how blockchain works even for grade school.

Knowing about new technology is important. Crypto currencies and blockchain technology are the future so it's inevitable. Is good to see as school or college curriculum. In my instinct before 5'th grade we can teach them good financial habits then after we can enter into financial literacy or real economics classes
few of my niece are now engaging in crypto since their college time and now are investors already, so how more if they have learn this when much younger?

Let's start with something as simple as the fact that the curricula must be reformed at all academic levels, at least in the basic stages of learning and even the physical structure itself must be rearranged.

Programming languages, e.g. must be part of the training of individuals from the early stages of learning or, let's say, there must be a structured starting point. That is it are just an example to raise the level of learning in terms of new technologies.

The above leads us on the way to know not only Bitcoin but other important emerging technologies, that is, it is not something as punctual as only Bitcoin, but in any case, it is quite complex to deal with such a structured topic in a few words.

And in the priority objective of teaching bitcoin today or guiding young people, it is enough to mention it in a classroom, that in the simplicity of the execution is revolutionary.

Economics is part of the curriculum. Are there many people who want to enter as an economist or are interested to be involved in that subject?

Crypto is a currency, the same as fiat. Why it should have a main curriculum? What's the benefit? Are all people can afford to use it freely? No need to have a subject about cryptocurrency. If people are interested, they will seek the information by themselves.

There are lots of people already in the world that know how potential crypto is but why are some of them still not attracted to get involved? It's because people have their own view about that. No need to force other people to join crypto to the point that it will be placed as a subject at schools or universities.

Young minds are more aggressive when it comes to new learning and since they are more exposed to the internet and know more about gadgets, that was easier for them to understand.
I agree with you. If there will be more people learning crypto and they finally know well about crypto, the society will be easier to accept crypto because they are not influenced by bad issues anymore. Having good knowledge about crypto will be very helpful to fight with many bad people spreading FUDs about it. Yep, young people, especially college students, have a high curiosity. They must be interested to learn crypto as a whole.

A must?
Well, it may be interesting, but not all countries are ready for this.
I can agree if some certain subjects in the schools introduce cryptocurrency, but not for a specific certain curriculu.
It is only part of the materials so that students will at least know about cryptocurrency.
If we are willing to have a certain curriculum for cryptocurrency, it may be not suitable for any gardes. It may be suitable enough for certain colleges or lectures so that they will specifically learn about crypto and blockchain technology.

Its great to see such add up and recognition which would really even haste up the level of awareness or adoption.
This really has a huge impact. The more people get educated about crypto, the faster adoption we are able to see.
Young minds are more aggressive when it comes to new learning and since they are more exposed to the internet and know more about gadgets, that was easier for them to understand.

One year learning about crypto, I think it was good enough and that was enough for them to educate and teach their family members as well. Maybe we have to wait and see how much it is contributed to the adoption a few years from now as this couldn't have instant results.
Right. If all people will receive right education for crypto, then there will be no instances that the government might doubt its potential as everything is transparent in crypto. The adoption will be more achieve in an earlier time because there will no big barriers that will block from crypto adoption. And indeed, this adoption will bring a lot of positive effects not just for its users but also for the whole country as well. And once crypto is legal, scammers will be sanctioned once they are caught scamming in crypto so probably it will be lessen the cases though.

For college-level, learning Bitcoin is an appropriate topic. There are already some colleges having Bitcoin as the material in lectures. So far, there is no bad issue about Bitcoin as the material in lectures. Instead, more college students want to learn about Bitcoin because they know many people can be rich by investing in Bitcoin.

Well, if these things happen, then it will be great. Though recently I saw on a Bangladeshi university called Rajshahi University's honours first year admission test exam a MCQ about bitcoin. So we can say now people are interested. Then we should make a subject so that all the students know about it. If we didn't educate our students about any technology, then our citizens wouldn't be able to compete with other countries' students and people either. I think bitcoin or blockchain technology is already a topic for cybersecurity students. So if this blockchain technology topic was added at school level, then students could get more knowledge before finishing school too. For me it will be great.

As an example, I'm teaching my 7th grade younger brother about social media marketing and its role in bitcoin and new cryptocurrency projects.
It's great that you're making your younger brother aware of that and its definitely an edge towards others who are until now, still naive to crypto.

However, the only way that crypto will be taught in schools will only depend on the government itself if they give permission on it. Because probably schools won't be making their own decisions, whatever their teachings should still abide with the laws made by the government. Although its a great start for students at an early age will already be aware about the existence of crypto and how it works, but it won't be possible without the support from the government. And i think the best way to lessen scamming cases is to make everyone educated about crypto because when it happens, people will be responsible to manage their own finances as well as on their crypto accounts.

Actually, the courses related to crypto are already available in some universities around the globe.
There's even a thread here discussing about all those schools and universities having crypto-related courses.
But will just give an idea as I can't find that thread here, will just post link from coindesk, those universities who have blockchain-related courses

https://www.coindesk.com/learn/2021/10/04/the-top-universities-for-blockchain-by-coindesk-2021/

If you can see, the list is already long and I believe, it will have more schools in the coming days.
So we are already adapting crypto-related courses in some universities, and we are expecting it to grow stronger in the coming years.

That's a good idea, it's possible that it could happen at a school or university that is already accepting crypto. we know that crypto is currently growing rapidly and many developed countries have accepted it. if that happens of course it will be good where children will start learning to manage crypto assets well because it is not easy to learn to manage crypto to be safer and profitable. but I think it will only happen to countries that have accepted crypto and crypto is growing rapidly there.

I like the idea since most of the lessons, subjects, and modules are very limited to what we've been using. It's like a continuous cycle for the same topics with very little new knowledge in addition. Most of the professionals in the blockchain/cryptocurrency were self-taught, of course with the help of the community. I believe in the power of community and it should be great if these schools will recognize that.

Honestly, I think it's too early to do this. At least, often children are simply not yet ready to perceive such information and can simply spend money.
It's not about children but those teens to young adults but there's no exception if it's about knowledge about crypto and blockchain.

Before crypto teaches in schools/colleges as a curriculum, they need to ask their government because some countries do not accept crypto, which can make a contradiction between schools/colleges and the government. If their government allows that, schools/colleges can start teaching their students about crypto in their curriculum, but the lesson will be a basic thing about crypto.

But as the internet connection is available in many places and people can access the internet easily, they can learn more details about crypto to get more lessons. Maybe the students should know about the investment that crypto offers to them to use some money to invest in crypto and prepare for their future.

For me if schools and students adapt bitcoin there's a advantage and disadvantages and what i would like to share here is the disadvantage in my personal opinion since we all knows how good bitcoin is to all users..  So it goes like this, in my view if students learn how they can make money with bitcoin such when it comes investments or trading, for sure there's a high possibility that some of them will not go to school after that.. I mean schools will be useless, because we go to school to have a good future right? So what if those students sees that their future were in the crypto space?.. We all knows how many workers out there that decided to resign because they choose bitcoin because of how much money they can get from it as well compared to their previous work.. So there's a possibility some of the students will do the same especially those lazy people.. Lol just saying.  Cheesy

You're talking about educating developers here, not introducing kids to the basics of what Bitcoin is. And do you really think we need another generation of shitcoin creators to try to get rich that way? Such things already exist, and it is not necessary to study for 5 years for someone to make their own coin, you can learn it in a few months - and the proof of that is more than 10 000 listed coins/tokens. Should I even say that 90% of these projects are completely meaningless and have no purpose?

I don't know if this topic is already tackled but I want to know your random opinions.

What happens if Bitcoins will be adapt in schools especially in college level?
For me it will be advantage for every students who will encounter regards Bitcoins . Since we are now living in a modern  world we encounter a lot of currency specially Bitcoins. I think it's better to have a lesson about Bitcoins in the Home of school learning so that the teacher and students both learned in currency which is Bitcoin . If ever this thing tackled in the school it will be educated and expand the knowledge of Bitcoin so they will know more and also to avoid scam

What are the best for beginners between  Hodl and invest?
For me I will choose investment even if it takes time and very risky but the profit you recieve will make you satisfied.  We all know that we won't be successful if we've not encounter many struggles we neet to be patient and disciplineed then the victory is ours. Warren Buffett says “We don’t have to be smarter than the rest. We have to be more disciplined that the rest."

Does the government allows Bitcoin to be tackle in school?
In my observation not all will agreed, if the government  support Bitcoin it is a big help to us to know more and expand our knowledge and we all know that bitcoin give us a good thing. We can earn through investment. If someone afraid of taking risk then they can hodl thier currency until the price goes up

Does Education in Cryptocurrencies is the best way to avoid being scam?
Yes absolutely teaching about Cryptocurrencies and security in our account is the best way to avoid and prevent scam so it is better to had an education in Bitcoin in the school specially to that student and teacher who did not know about Bitcoins cause , in our world right now are more
Cryptocurrencies. It gives us benefits an awareness on how to secure our account our personal information cause we don't know people beside us so it's better to be wise men.

While these might be relevant questions to the world of crypto, I think outside of this space is still early days.

I don't expect schools to be starting their curriculums with a few crypto topics, and that's because there is still a wide division between cryptonians and the rest of the world.

Without full backing from governments this won't take off at the level proposed, and quite understandably so. While there are opportunities, there are also a large number of scams and some can even argue that crypto is more like gambling. A topic which opens up quite a few different genres on the subject, and you can start to see why there will be anti-arguments to teach children about something so high-ended in the field of economics.

To date, crypto is much an option for those who want to learn and educate themselves on and it seems to me that it will stay like this for sometime.

Yeah I think this is a pretty solid idea. I have long held that both schools and universities fail to do a very good job preparing people for the world of finance. What happens if Bitcoins will be adapt in schools especially in college level?

I fear it may be perceived as some sort of endorsing (i.e. safe) and even more kids - too young to understand how things work - may end up putting all their "lunch money" into this and, most of them, buy high and sell low.
Bitcoin, even bitcoin holding, is not easy, especially for young and impatient.

I don't want to say that teaching Bitcoin at college would be a bad thing, but the approach is very important. If done properly, it has the potential to be good, but I fear that in most cases it won't be done properly.
Also, most certainly, a certain degree of financial education is a must before introducing Bitcoin.

What are the best for beginners between  Hodl and invest?
You should avoid both of them if you're just a beginner [assuming that you meant to say "trading", instead of "investing"]; even hodling has its own risks!
- Doing either of those things as a newcomer is quite similar to jumping in a manual truck, without having any prior experience in driving a manual car [you need to learn the basics first].

However, I don't even surprise if one day there is a school that adopts cryptocurrency and educates people on how it will work, for sure no will get scammed in the future.

so it's better to be wise men.

I don't know what part of the crypto lesson is right to teach to avoid scams. In fact, crypto fraud schemes are generally no different from fiat scams. It's just that the potential happens more often because crypto is still relatively early.

But, I like the last statement, being wise is very difficult even for academically educated people.
I agree more if emotional education is more appropriate to avoid fraud. Most newbies who enter today because of the influence of the hype and the desire to get rich quick so they put aside independent research at the beginning of their entry.

The more that Bitcoin and the blockchain can go mainstream, the more there will be interest on it from the academe sector. I understand that there are already schools which include the topic of the blockchain technology and Bitcoin into their curriculums...and I am sure that there can be more as time goes on. Maybe on the 20th anniversary of Bitcoin, we can already see it being discussed openly in many prestigious and progressive schools all over the world. Education is always the key to more adoption though education is never limited to the confine of schools but everywhere especially here online and even in this forum. The benefits of having Bitcoin discussed in school is it adds another layer of legitimacy especially in the eyes of those who are still associating Bitcoin with scams and the dark web.

It is the best for them to be ready facing the world, but not necessary to save them from scamming.

I was even having a thought if Bitcoin can be area of specialization to student who studied economics since Bitcoin is becoming more popular everyday and how the young people are embracing it. It would be nice if our school system can adopt Bitcoin in the university/ colleges because Bitcoin is adding value to the world.

You own the pen
There are already some courses that will teach you regarding cryptocurrencies and blockchain courses but are only limited to some sites. You can look at the lists here: https://learn.saylor.org/course/view.php?id=468 and learn how they effectively teach people about it.

I'm sure if you follow the step-by-step guide, you would have an idea of how they will be in schools.

Yes, I do remember the same concept of thread like this before here in forum, it was already long ago but this kind of discussion were very relevant to be discuss because as the technology keeps on improving and developing into a higher level of intelligence then it's a must to make it one of the subject in school.

My curiosity brought  me to this topic.   I am thinking how about the department  of Education  will introduce and include  this to their curriculum   many people  will be oriented  and more knowledgeable   in the word of cryptocurrency .
If could  someone  said that bitcoin  is illegal  then the knowledgeable person can explain  and correct  them by giving  more knowledge.

Well, financial education is almost non-existent in schools for many countries in the world. In those countries schools and colleges are build to create workers. So they would teach risk management. I personally believe, riak management is something that is needed before they move to teach about cryptocurrencies.

But I believe many universities in first world countries have cryptocurrencies and blockchain in their curriculum. But that is yet to be seen in third world countries, unfortunately!

It was a welcome one.Because if the cryptocurrency reached out the students, it will survive for next 50 years. Because the students, almost live next 50 years in average. In a decade, bitcoin had reached some good value. If the bitcoin and cryptocurrency survived for the next 50 years, it will be boon to the early adopters and to us. Because, as compared to 50 years. New investors as of now will be the real achiever in a long run.

Different people have different perspective. Most of the time users to prefer to stay on the safe zone. This means holding in a secure wallet is the right choice than investing/trading. Whatever DYOR before entering the market.

Compared to the past nowadays there is good support from governments around the world. Many government that were against cryptocurrency have now begun to regulate the usage. Though bitcoin isn't accepted as a legal tender, there is no ban on using it for trading and investment.

It is true that education is the way to identify scams and makes ourselves not get trapped. When it comes to cryptocurrency we need to be very careful, because a small mistake we do could make us loss big.
