Hello, guys! I am designer who works on cryptocurrency news aggregator. I want to create simple but useful website, but for that I need to understand your needs.

Could you please answer these questions, so we could create a great product together.

1) When you read cryptocurrency news, do you need to see a long list of articles on one page right away (e.g. https://coinspectator.com)? Or you want to see just few articles, but with bold headlines and covers (https://www.ccn.com, https://www.coindesk.com, etc.)?
2) How do you usually decide which news to read?
3) Do you want to have a chat on news website and discuss news right there?
4) Do you need to see cryptocurrencies' rate on news website?
5) What features would you like to have on cryptocurrency news aggregator?
6) What pains do you have while reading other news website?

Thank you!

Well make sure the writers in your article knows how to not induce fear in the traders in the market. You and your writers will talk to the world about cryptocurrency and I'm pretty sure there are various emotion sensitivity out there. Make sure to use the "right" word for such certain topic.

Mostly the pain that people mostly encounter are the misinterpretation of the words. Saying x country doesn't want cryptos is gonna be different in people's interpretation that x country doesn't just recognize cryptos as this and that. Careful with the writing of an article.

Reddit is one of the news aggregators and not only news. And in order for your news to be in the top use the service - upvotes.io
They are very similar to the social network launched every day. And especially most of those sites are competing for news and issues of interest. How to choose the most appropriate and popular applications. There should be a certain standard.

Just the headlines are fine.
Anything US related or with regulations is a priority
no need for a chat just the ability to share
There are not enough original sources everybody quotes Bloomberg

WPP ENERGY - BACKED ASSET GREEN ENERGY TOKEN
We have a lot of news here about crypto so even long in a page is good and with many pages too

We have account registration in some news about crypto so i think more better if no registration

I really like some ads in news so for me that is recommended in that and always develop this
Thank you very much. You have shared useful information and you are really good at having good ideas. Your condition is quite practical under current conditions.

Some articles with covers, I will be interested only in news headlines or article writer. such as ---> https://www.coindesk.com
2) How do you usually decide which news to read?
I prefer to have news classified into categories by appearance.
For example, if you are a trader, I want to see the news that affects the price, price analysis, regulation, technical news and so on.
If you are a technician you will be interested in technology news and then prices and so on. All according to his will.

3) Do you want to have a chat on news website and discuss news right there?
No.
4) Do you need to see cryptocurrencies' rate on news website?
yes, with some alarms.

To make headways in this regard, do not publish news that tend to hide the truth like hypes.  The more natural the news is, the better. I know this may not attract the kind of quick interest but when you build a brand about it, you become a reference point for reliable information.

Thank you!

First, I want to say that it is better to create a website with bold titles and pictures in the background.
Next, I want to read the news about bitcoin, which is an important idea. For example, in Switzerland or Panama accepted bitcoin, on an equal basis with the national currency. etc.
It is also important for me to analyze the ICO of companies that produce. And it is desirable that an objective assessment was.

I prefer a mixture of both (similar to coinspectator but with a hover effect that shows a small thumbnail).

2) How do you usually decide which news to read?
Based on its source.

3) Do you want to have a chat on news website and discuss news right there?
Normally "NO" but if there's a dedicated section for each topic or crypto then I don't mind having those.

4) Do you need to see cryptocurrencies' rate on news website?
Not that much of a priority.

5) What features would you like to have on cryptocurrency news?
Filters (lots of it).

I'm probably a bit old-fashioned like Neurotic up there. I like coinspectator, among several aggregators I sometimes open. But I want my aggregators to be stripped down to the bare essential:

- no need for tickers, price or otherwise. Instead, a small price alert could be useful if user could set like "alert when >5% movement in 15 minutes", and then relevant news to go to it.

Would like the ability to further categorise what I like, by showing all linked and relevant news. For example:

- I can mark one story I see in the feed, and then all relevant stories or linked stories can show in a new mini-feed. Conversely, I can mark down a story and all repeats of that story won't show again. Problem with these aggregators is they show a misleading headline and the news is actually old crap recycled.

Feed should let you rate stories, so it will show you more of what you like and less of what you don't.

I use to read also the news in RSS feed, so I'd like an aggregator that works like the news readers: show a list of headlines maybe with a few lines of text, no images at all. From those headlines I'd pick the ones that interest me, the others I'd like to mark as "read". But maybe I'm old-fashioned and others prefer more flashy things.

I use now and then coinspectator, but I do that more often on mobile and .. it could be much better. Sometimes it jumps (new headers came in) while I am reading the list, I cannot mark items as read (or maybe I don't know how on mobile).

I don't need the rates - again. I get the rates when I need them, I have a widget in my phone that does the job, I don't need every site have that "feature".
I also don't need chat when reading news Smiley

The news I decide to read are based on title and maybe a few lines of text.

I hope I gave you some answers. I don't know though how useful they are, since my habits may be old fashioned.
