Time will tell the tale, and this is a merging of two arenas of collectors....Topps would be fools to dismiss this tbh. Personally, I think it's PARAMOUNT that these are the first big name cards that involve digital currencies...even if Bitcoin ceases to be a currency (which I hope it stays)...it will FOR SURE be a comodity and a store of value. In other words...it's NOT going away...which is WHY the cards will have historical value. Even if they're not that pretty.....The #1 rule of collecting: The FIRST of anything is the most collectable.  Wink

I liked this whole crypto card thing but it’s gotten a bit OTT. Seems like Topps are exploiting it a bit too much and many are being suckered in with the hopes of making $$$.
When the hype does die down, people will be left with overpriced cards and Topps will have released a range of indifferent cards that won’t have the same appeal.
I’m all for fun and games but I think this is a bit much. You’re welcome to disagree and enlighten me though.

P.S Lucky there’s no downvote button on here Cheesy

It kind of seems like that, isn't that way at all.   Wait a few months when prices for the rare ones are over 6 figures and like many including myself many years ago, I was saying it's just a piece of stupid cardboard.  And then the Honus Wagner T206 sold for 3.1 million, Mickey Mantle Topps #311 2.1 million, and it's not like those were 1/1 cards either.
Your opinion is always welcomed Smiley

Never been into baseball cards so I don't really get the appeal of the Topps crypto cards. They are not even that attractive IMO, certainly not works of art like Papersafes. Will we even be talking about them one year from now?

I dunno about anyone else, but back in my day of sports card collecting, a set that had a rookie (89 Jordan) that was sealed went for thousands, when it was introduced for hundreds...like $250 or so......I mean HOLY CRAPOLA

Seems that the oversized #1-10 Gold Cryptocurrency set is going to be the set to have.......I think it is TOPPS that is all in
