The ESP32 has no USB port in the sense you might think.
The USB port on your ESP32 board is connected to a USB to serial chip, this lets you program the module and exchange data over the serial connection. So the ESP32 acts as a passive USB device like a usb-stick or a mouse. I don't think it can be used as network interface at this stage.

It needs to be connected to a WiFi network in order to fetch prices and stats. I actually don't think is even technically possible to use the USB serial port as network interface.
Call me crazy, but I don't like having WiFi turned on all the time, I am more old fashion cable guy 
If I had the option to choose how to connect my devices I would always choose the wired connection.
Fun fact, you can even connect smartphones to wired internet with cable adapters via usb-c.
On the other hand you don't need a PC but you can also connect it to a wall charger.
I know 
Power banks also work fine, and I can also pump tires with mine.

Thank you for releasing source code I know this devices has WiFi internet connection, but it also needs to be connected to power source that can be computer, so is it possible to use cable connection to get information from internet instead of WiFi?
