Do you know how many are out there that still need to be redeemed?
Did you save any contact info from then sales? IIRC you were doing PayPal for some of them.

Might want to reach out to people and let them know that you are back and working on the ability to have them redeem their coins.

I could see someone having tried to redeem back in 201x or 202x and found the site down and put the coin away thinking the BTC was lost.

-Dave

I've noticed that I can't view any transactions on my PayPal account prior to 2018. I'm unsure how many are still pending redemption, but I could potentially create a script to check against my database, which contains around 500 addresses.

This past weekend, I made some progress in streamlining the process and figuring out the most efficient approach. I'll continue working on it during my free time this week.

If you are willing to share the address list and items details, I'm happy to load them into the collectibles tracker and link to your Github/new site for the redemption process.

It would make the discover process easier for anyone down the road as they are more likely to be able to discover it via Googleing the coin/series or address.

It would also give immediate details on how many are redeemed/unredeemed/unfunded.

Alright, I’ve figured out the certificate generation and printing process. The rest should be easy to figure out.

Would be important, if you unfortunately pass for some reason. How would we peel and pull if there is another process to do so?

You are absolutely correct! I'll create a straightforward solution to address this locally, making it open source and available on GitHub. Give me approximately a week to complete it.

If anyone happens to have a redeemed secret (coin side) and the associated passphrase that was used for a 2FA Cryptolator coin, it would be incredibly helpful, as I’m currently unable to locate the passphrase generation section of the website. Regardless, I’ll find a way to make it functional.

It looks like the .net / .org / .info are available. You could always setup a clone site at one of those. Sadly there is not a lot you can do about domain squatters.

Also, just for the info is it possible to get the private key without the app?

WooHoo welcome back :-)

How have you been....you know for the last decade :-)

Seriously, should probably post the files on github or similar so anyone who needs then can get to them.

And I took your email out of my earlier post since you are back.

-Dave

Haha, yeah, it’s been a while!

I’ve been doing pretty well, thanks for asking!

I’m planning to set up a GitHub and host everything there; it should be ready by the end of the week.

Unfortunately, I lost cryptolator.com a few years ago because I forgot to renew it (still kicking myself over that one).

If anyone needs help redeeming my coin, I’m more than happy to assist!

I still have all the website files, and documentations, so if you have both keys, it will be fine.

The post 5 posts above is not the solution to redeeming a Cryptolator multi-signature wallet.

This has not been solved yet.

I believe that the last question of DaveF was never answered and the conversation stopped there.

Does anyone have any ideas on how the Cryptolator_User_Manual_V.2.0.pdf could somehow be found?

To answer DaveF's question, I have all the information mentioned by Cryptolator on their post....

Thanks

Did you get any response from the person who I mentioned in the PM that at least according to the archived pages wrote the software?

You can also try removed since he is back that was the last email that I have for Jonathan who was the person who was behind Cryptolator.
Although he has not posted in a while I would also keep PMing him here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=169399

Still digging through old stuff to see if I have anything else. I never had any of their multisig coins (honestly didn't know it was a thing for them till this came up) but if I find something I'll post it.

I don't think this will work but have a thought take a look at:
https://github.com/routman/brainwallet.io

PLEASE TEST OFFLINE

See if using what is under the hologram and the password you sent generates what you need. As I said I don't think it will work but you never know.

Looks like some of them were multisig:

Are you the original buyer? Do you have the other info that is discussed in the post from cryptolator back in 2014? If not can you get it?

It's not a private key it's a brainwallet.

1 ) Go to https://www.bitaddress.org/
2 ) click on brainwallet (upper right)
3 ) Disconnect from internet
4 ) Verify that you are offline
5 ) Be 100% sure you are offline
6 ) Verify steps 4 & 5
7 ) Click on show so you can see what you are typing.
8 ) Put in what is there in the enter passphrase box CApitAlizatiON matters
9 ) Click on view it should show the address and the private key.

-Dave

I'm going to brain wallet , i am putting the key that i found in the hologram but it generates a different address than the one in the certificate . Also , do you know where should i use the certificate's public key or it's not necessary ? Thanks for your time .

You should not need the public key.

Is is a bitcoin unchained coin?

I just helped the person who bought this one from me redeem it about 6 hours ago.

Make sure you have the right characters unlike a regular private key there are no character limitations so some might be ambiguous.

I believe you would need to peel the hologram to reveal the private key and then sweep it in your wallet.

That's what i thought , but seems that cryptolator wallets are multisig and i'm not familiar with that .
