Hello,

I have been following CryptoMining-Blog since a long time ago. It's a nice blog. But I noticed the following.
Some months ago, Hashie.co was a "mining company" that was a ponzi scheme and end closing that shit. CryptoMining-Blog mentioned them several times: http://cryptomining-blog.com/?s=hashie
The problem comes now with the new service GigaHash.org, probably another opened ponzi. They also mentioned them several times: http://cryptomining-blog.com/?s=gigahash

And the strange thing now comes. When you click on the old link for Hashie: http://cryptomining-blog.com/go/hashie/
It automatically redirects to GigaHash.org, which of course has the same layout that Hashie.

I'd not recommend investing in CryptoMining-Blog cloud mining.

Best regards,

It has been advice to not get involved with cloud mining whatsoever. The most legit company used to be cex.io or something like that and apparently they stopped the cloud mining service because it as just not lucrative. I wonder what exactly made cloud mining a complete failure. It looked from the surface like a great way to mine Bitcoin without having to own miners yourself.

Exactly this! We are preaching here 24/7 that people should stay away from cloudmining. Just yesterday we had another thread where we were discussing this and we're telling people that they should not do it.

Apart the Hashnest, I haven't heard for any legit cloudmining service at the moment. All of the rest are just scams that never payed or were paying some time and then they had stopped paying altogether.

I used to visit that blog daily in my early Bitcoin and mining days. It's an amazing and trustworthy source of information as far as I'm concerned. They used to review mining equipment pretty early and they were given the chance to test pretty much all scrypt related hardware that came out in the last two years, sometimes even before it was publicly available. They also tested, reviewed and compiled mining software and they give a pretty good and impartial overview about pretty much all the things they write about.

If you follow the blog there is indeed a history of testing cloud mining services and in every new service they present they warn people to invest cautiously and they show their profits or their losses according to what they're getting and show estimates for ROI. Starting from that a reader can tell if it's worth risking their coins or not (we all know what's the cloud mining industry like...).

If they're paid to speak about these services? I don't know. It might be possible they are. But they're pretty legit with what they write and obviously we can't follow whatever we're told on the internet Smiley Another good thing is that they aren't constantly painting the picture in a bright way, just like someone marketing these services would.

Why would cloud miners sell cloud mining? Surely they would just keep the coins for themselves?
I think I understand sites like mining rig rentals, which is useful for altcoins.
