I never invest in any shares related to cyptocurrency because you do not know what future holds as per each country the rules regarding this technology differs. So better I invest in my bank which gives some interest as well rather than this types of shares.
Nah you cant avoid some people would definitely chose up this kind of investment that to put up money on local fiat banks because they do believe this kind of investments does give more profits than banks but same as your I would rather choose banks than this one and ill pass into this.Cryptopia is good but not good enough just like other exchanges.

I'm always interested in investing so I decided to do some research on your offering. This is what I found:
The HTTPS looks fancy, though the website in itself is poorly done. It has very few THs in its pool and a newly created marketplace with no actual listings... The platform has a long way to go and from this point of view is no where near the 2.5k+ USD you're valuating it...
I then proceeded to do some googling... Well tl;dr -- the whole first page (and most relevant results) are ALL scam reports:

tl;dr: website doesn't allow withdrawls, which now seem to largely work but are still flawed
[Canceled] Crowdfund for being listed on Cryptopia.co.nz - https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/4333/canceled-crowdfund-for-being-listed-on-cryptopia-co-nz
tl;dr they canceled an ICO / crowdfund campaign for lack of support and team dedication, not quite the best feedback
Aside from that certificates and functionalities look trustworthy - http://www.scamfoo.com/site/cryptopia.co.nz/
no malware
and generally safe.
NEVERTHELESS !!! This project it's still in early stages of development, cash injection might help but selling shares as for a well established CFO company is quite ridiculous...
