The little bit of altcoins I kept there are gone, forever - I'm afraid.

Good thing it was only a minimal amount.

Scammers.

I guess hope is the only answer,

7 BTC is not the end of the world, its just a shame it goes to someone else's pocket.

I lost over 3 bitcoins there so I feel you pain.  I am just trying to rebuild now to get back some of it in other ways.

Sorry,

I have not really been following the story, but I have 7 BTC on there and cannot withdraw due to "maintainance" is this their way of saying, we are f'ing you over now?

Wow man! 7 BTC is a lot of money! Read all suggested threads, and you have no other choice but go to the police. As alredy was mentioned, probably you lost them.. Cryptsy already is dead!
Good luck! You will need it!

There a re a couple of discussions on this that you can get more info on.  The owner has basically "lost" the money and fled to China.  He is also in the middle of a divorce.  Sadly we will never see the money we lost again unless a miracle happens.

The story actually isn't that long to read. They're having some large problems over there but at least they're being transparent (somewhat; which is more than other companies can say) and actually trying to regain their balance.

Here is a huge thread about Cryptsy, which is *slightly* longer to read. Wink

Oh, and good luck.

Please pm me if you think they're being transparent.

I have a bridge to sell you.

The bitcoins are stuck on the site.  Actually they are gone because they were either stolen from the site by a scammer or the owner or employee stole the coins.  The site will show that you have them in your account but you can't access them (like me).  If you are from America, you can join a class action lawsuit to try to get some back, but don't expect much.
